He used to have like 23 followers on that account obviously doesn't want it getting out but all you need to do is a forced Google search on ben_zabel and you find some of his original hidden tweets including heaps of him saying Virgin fired him because of his anxiety.

As for the tumblr pics they are just a upload of the Google cache copy of his original tweets.

But if you want to believe both Google and Twicsy have faked their cache to create fake tweets by Ben then go right ahead.

By no means am I saying these are not authentic but there is, (amazingly) more than one Benjamin Zabel on Twitter. Was he displaying a pic of himself on that old account?

I mainly question it because none of the other pics from Ben zabel on that twicsy page give any indication that it is actually BBBen Zabel. What is a 'forced' search on Google?

I had to think for a sec who Brett is LOL.

I wonder hypothetically how hard it is to hack a twitter account, hypothetically of course. My brother is pretty good with using the interwebs and such, might have to hypothetically ask him when I see him at Christmas....

http://twitter.com/ben_zabel was his original account (which now links to his http://twitter.com/BenFromBrisbane account) which was posted on here at the start of the series and like I said above you can also find posts by that account about being fired from Virgin. I'm no statistician but I'd say the odds of another Benjamin Zabel who was fired from Virgin and has anxiety being out there would be slim.

This confuses me too... He happily told the nation that he watches porn regularly and has hardly used any of the social media outlets to sell himself so this whole notion of Ben from Brisbane being a fake is a bit of a mystery. Why on earth would he hide from the fact that he's been on a 'dating' website AND lied about being on Twitter in a CH9 interview? Unless he has a PR person who has advised him to do so, I just cant see him having the foresight to close a hardly used Grindr account. He has clearly been busy with whatever work BB has thrown at him so I'd say he'll do just fine out of the whole experience.

I'd love to know when the 'old Ben Zabel' twitter was shut down.

I'm pretty sure that when HMs go into lock-down they are told to close down all their social media pages/profiles.

I thought once he was out of the house he would resume using his old twitter like Tully did not create a new one.

I don't know if they're told to lock and protect it as Tully's was always open but Ben's was protected from the start no doubt to keep all the skeletons locked in. :p

Yeah I'm over this bloody guy. I've tweeted the writer of that article and included the ben_zabel account in the tweets just so he knows that not all of us are suckers. Not one single (decent) person would care if he had been on Grindr before. Hell it would be expected! And that whole bullshit about Ch 9 and Rohan teaching him the ways of Twitter, Instagram, etc... like come the fuck on now. If someone believes the only way they can be interesting to the general public is to put on a fake manchild persona they should really take a hard look at themselves and see why it is they feel that way.
 
I'm just glad people wised up when they did and he was booted. Imagine if he had won and then all this was revealed, that would massively shit me. I mean, more so than his stupid fake pathetic act already is.

Why is he even announcing that he has joined Grindr? Lies aside, why is it newsworthy?

Being a SMS, Tully would probably NEVER shut her social media off for fear of losing touch with her followers... What other goss is on the old twitter of Ben's that would be worth closing it for? I really don't see how a couple of screenshot messages from Grindr hopefuls could be that bad for his public profile postBB. He's a self confessed virgin and desperado! Maybe there is other stuff that he really didn't want people to see? Don't mean to harp on about it...just seems like a meh reason to lock down an account.

I remember seeing a tweet about his anxiety and being fired from virgin...this was a couple of months ago
I'm sure Ben admitted to watching gay porn? and flirted with Drew with confidence...so he didn't seem that innocent to me.
When he started using twitter/instagram after BB and was new to it all, he was seemed like he at least had done a bit of texting because of the way he typed but if he already had over 500 tweets, he must have been a bit computer savy?
We also saw online were he had at least done a few stand up comedian acts shows a few years...must have had some known talent to be invited to do it?
Ben was on some Ch9 news programme about these crippling attacks the night before the finale..I never saw the programme.
maybe he was more outgoing but the anxiety attacks hit him hard again these past couple of years, so wanted to join online dating?

I liked him but I hardly think anything he does has been reported. The fact that he has been fairly quiet regarding his life in general over the past few months leads me to think he has a PR person (or that he's on the Ch 9 payroll) or that he's just not that into social media as a means to success. While all the others are running around partying, Ben has been busy cashing in!!!
