The prerecorded format isn’t terrible and wouldn’t have been so bad if it was only on a 24 hour delay. Splitting the premiere over two episodes is ridiculous as it seems like tonight will follow exactly the same format. However painful the live format has been I think it wins out slightly simply for the feeds. That was more or less the same structure as a live premiere tbh. I agree it should have just been a 90 minute episode, I just want to get into the game already. The cast seems fine, but I’m not sure if they’re gonna be as fun as many were last year. We shall see.
I feel the exact opposite about the cast, to me they felt less annoying and natural while still giving the impression that they came to play. Can't believe they're still doing the surprise face at finding their Big Brother key as they film their intro vid thing. These 8 seem even more annoying than usual.
See their using the latest 1980s technology to create their BBAI. Embarrassingly poor - even Sam the Robot felt more hi-tech. Overall a boring premiere and feels like tomorrow will largely be a repeat. Agree it could have been a one show live event.
Although given how early votes are usually unanimous and early HoH winners and POV winners can be targets I'm not sure the downgrade is really a downgrade, although first competition losers are usually an easy option for the first nominees.Bit of drama on Twitter about the BB AI Twist rewarding HG’s for making so called “unfavourable decisions” and punishing those who made a strategic decision.
For a show that likes to claim thier moto is “expect the unexpected” it is often anything but… IDK the twist being more than it initially appeared to be was in fact “unexpected” and for once actually rewarded those willing to take a strategic risk. Hopefully this sets a new tone for the season.
I agree with everything you’ve said. Oh how I can’t wait to get to Amsterdam and take some edibles and watch this high myselfTook an edible so here are a few ramblings…
Apparently our VIP Cocktail Waitress picked up on the fact that voting for Ainsley to enter the game would literally benefit her game. The more I see of her the more I’m excited to see more of her. Her cubbie chaser comment has people shipping her with Joseph, which I gotta say I wouldn’t be opposed to.
Also liking Quinn. He feels like you’re typical nerdy “superfan” but also not. He’s also funny but also not in your typical BB funny man kind of way. A lot of his quips came from the actual footage not just the DR.
For some reason Tucker gives me Hardy vibes and TBH I wouldn’t mind a Hardy style arch either. Rumour is that he’s the first HoH?
I’m with BB Twitter in getting bad vibes from Kenney. Cops don’t have a good wrap when it comes to this show and despite the fact that he wants to position himself as the “dad” of the house it’s giving overbearing, A-type, tiger dad rather than caring and supportive.
Cedric and Chelsie should be extremely easy targets and based on first impressions I really wouldn’t care if either left. I’m hoping for a strong character driven season over heavy gameplay. They both haven’t shown enough personality at this point to warrant caring about.
Brooklyn is another giving off bad vibes. She’s giving off “The Friendship” vibes. I’m here for a bit of light hearted fun and she gives off the impression that things could get nasty.
Angela I think has potential… I read on a certain “other” forum that one of her sons had an OF so I believe her when she says she’s a “cool mom”. To be blunt she seems like she could be everything that BBUK Kerri thought she was.
Kimo I actually teared up a bit watching his intro. He feels familiar and the type of person we haven’t had on BB in a while. He kind of gives me a Bunky/Chicken George vibe.
I actually think if they had simply condensed the two groups in to a single pre recorded 90 minute episodes it would’ve been much stronger.Did they even change the script for episode 2? Worst premiere week in the shows history and did they not think about how shit the AI looked on screen. Hopefully this is one of those seasons where they drop their big twist within three weeks.
Only good thing was a rare outing for the end credits theme.
