I had to catch up on this week's episodes in two long binges, and I watched most of them after eating edibles so I feel like I have so many different narratives confused. But tbh I am really liking how this cast responds to each other. Lots of different POVs in politics both inside and outsode of the house. I love it. It feels so old school to me, but I just can't help but get a bit dissinterested at some points knowing the show is halfway done next week.
Regarding Ali vs Khaled, whilst I can understand where Ali was coming from I do understand also what Khaled was saying and I did kind of side with him in the argument despite the fact that I love Ali and am not his biggest fan. She was way too focused on him stating that he did the killer nomination the fairest way, which he did. It's totally valid and makes complete sense for him to nominate based on who he is closest with, it would be how I would go about nominating. I feel like she just really did hyperfixate on this idea of him. And like he said, he isn't as well articulated as she is. IDK why she felt the need to keep having the conversation with him when it was going to go NOWHERE.
I did like the Government task, it felt like a bit more of an improvment on last year's big wigs task. I fkn died at the government housemates dressing up as former British PMs.
With Bagelgate, I don't think my brain actually clicked onto what actually happened there. But Izzaz annoyed me this week and seemed to just casuse drama so he could get airtime. I still feel a lot of the males this season are extremely bland or too blokish.
And a shoutout to Lily who feels so 2000s BBUK it really makes me sad that this season is so short. I feel like this cast would be perfect for a long series. I'm getting BB7 vibes from it tbh. It's just a shame the storylines that have began to really grow in significnace are already nearing their conclusion due to the rapid evicting that is approaching.
