BBUK 2024: Returns Oct. 6th

Yes - tasks are always better when the housemates have control over who does them, something that's been lost in recent series.

She is but at least Olivia was genuinely funny, Lily is just irritating so far and playing up way too much to the cameras.
I think you’re forgetting that she was also grating at first. That said even if she lacks Olivia’s charm she’s worth keeping around simply because she’ll be a source of intentional/unintentional conflict.

I swear some of these people are like clones of other well known people.

I think they went too far in the dare challenge.

Destroying photos is just wrong

The arm task was kinda dumb....

But Mercedes from glee and Cher from clueless did well.
Glad they took stifflers mum.back into the house.

Plus Olivia, even in the early days, there was that quality about her that even if you found her annoying you could pick up on that would only grow over the course of the six weeks.

Lily I feel like we've already seen all she has to offer.

I did cackle at the end when the "vote to evict" thing came up at the end of the episode and they're sticking to calling Rosie Baked Potato.

Out of the ones up for eviction, I am guessing
Ryan
will be out first.
Looks that way though I have reservations about someone being evicted based on a 40 second VT before they entered. For all we know the others could have called for the slaughter of all minorities but producers left it on the cutting room floor.

To be honest of the four up we've not seen anything in the house yet which suggests they should be evicted. Thought Baked Potato came across really well last night though.

If the usual BBUK "curse" of a woman being the first evictee in a civilian series continues, Baked Potato is a goner.

I personally could have done without this non housemate twist. I would have rathered the first few daily shows focused on the housemates. I feel like the first 2 daily shows were very heavy on the head to heads. I know nothing about the four nominees. Although I do like Baked Potato and I can appreciate what Nathan can provide. Ryan can go.

The female side of the cast is superb. All very likeable or at least bring something to the table. Ali is a fantastic housemate so far, loved hearing her discuss LGBT and Neurdivergent topics. I could relate very well to that. She will go far. As for Lily, I personally don't liken her to Olivia. Olivia at least was funny and had that don't take shit from anyone persona. To me Lily just comes across as put on for the cameras. But I would prefer she stays just for the sake of it. She at least is having an impact.

I am just really struggling with the male housemates. I don't find many of them interesting. Most of them are way too blokey. But hopefully vote to evict does away with them like it did last year.

Probably more bland than blokey. Also as is usually the case the blokes just generally get on at the beginning whilst some of the women take an instant dislike to each other.

I think it’s off to a decent start.

I can’t believe we had to endure name changes and eyebrow shaving again - who would have thought they would take one of the worst first week twists in the show’s history and do it again, but I’m finding the interactions between the housemates interesting to watch.
