BB/CBB UK - Rewatch discussions

BBUK9 Week 4 Done:
  • There’s been a few scenes that didn’t really make much of in the main show but were featured on BBLB and Diary Room Uncut this week including some more of Darnell and Sylvia’s ‘Dinner date’ last week and Saturday’s ‘Topiary’ hedge trimming mini task. Mario and Mikey did a stint in Jail for speculating about counting nominations. There is another mini task where Mikey puts the housemates in pairs to take turns with goggles that are blacked out as if blind. He puts Jen and Rex together.

  • A lot of this week’s storyline revolves around background bitching about Rachel and Kat being too positive and ‘Happy House’. Rebecca in particular loses the plot and Rex is driving her up the wall. Rex Rachel and Kat bake cookies to make up for the cookies getting left off the list, He tells Becs they’re not quite set yet or something, then when she gets snarky with him he gives it right back that she doesn’t need them, which she takes as an inference to her weight. She also gets the shits about Kat singing the ‘Happy House’ song, to which theres also an argument between herself and Darnell in B Block about the whole are the ‘Happy House’ people pussyfooting around having an opinion, in front of Kat, who gets upset.
  • A lot of speculation that there will be a new housemate. Although, they are also pretty much back on par now as If even Stuart hadn’t arrived yet and the removals hadn’t happened, Alexandra was set to go anyway and Stuart then turned out to be a pre-emptive replacement for Dennis rather than Alex, so they could afford to let it sit another week or few if they wanted to I suppose. It turns out later in the week revealed on BBLB yes, not one but 3 new arrivals - all girls will be coming in Friday - meaning that they’re back to 15 going into week 5.

  • Luke gets put in Jail on the day of noms, although yeah the reasoning is kinda very grey - He repeated to Becs in a conversation the previous day that ‘we’ve got ‘cookie love’ and ‘happy house’ directly after saying to Becs ‘not that we’d discuss noms or anything’ which I thought yeah, could be taken very sarcastically or its also as BB took it potentially borderline code wink wink do you know what i’m saying kinda thing, but its a bit of a straw grasp to prove he meant it that way at the same time.
  • Anyway, Becs convenient-ally bails him out asking BB if they can use the get out of Jail free card in time for Luke to nominate still. BB Agrees, and unbeknownst to Luke his vote actually saves Rebecca from going up against Jen and Rex (an interesting head to head after what happened last week).
  • Mo picks up the last of Becs tobacco packet, uses it and throws it out, which sets her off enough when she finds out about it that in a fit of rage she goes and cuts Mo’s belt. Later She tells everyone when theres some shouting heard over the fence that they were all shouting ‘Rex is a wanker’ but Rex knows she’s full of it because he overhears her asking Jen if thats what they heard.

  • The shopping task is BB Zoo, with pairs of animal suits and tasks. The Seals Jen and Becs, must go and get water thrown at them by the Zookeeper Mario every time Seal’s Kiss From A Rose is played. Rex and Dale the Kangaroo’s, pass a punching power meter, Kat and Rachel are in a two headed Llama costume stuck together, Stu and Lisa successfully stand on one leg for 20 minutes.
  • Darnell and Mo are Rabbits and have to nibble on carrots every 15 minutes, they only incur a few fails but not enough to overall fail their part, and Luke and Mikey are Elephants who have to recite a section of Rudyard Kipling’s ‘Elephant Child’. they fail that part, but Mikey going on about all the Spanking, and some of his ad libs ‘bisexual pythons’? WTF lol) was pretty funny. The housemates pass the overall task.

  • Nominations are announced and Rex is actually happy to be put up and dosent mind if he goes because he’s starting to feel drained and has had enough. Dale Luke and Becs are trying to tell Jen she’s a shoe in to stay but Jen is trying to be realistic that theres also a good chance she might go.
  • Rex and Bec are still jibing at each other and I think Rex might be just in whatever mode and leaning into the ‘asshole’ a bit more sarcastically giving it back to Bec poking at him if theres a larger chance he can get voted out. Kat gets upset about this though and goes off crying to the bathroom. Mario and Lisa are a bit fed up with this and Mario says she’s being silly and needs to grow up quite bluntly, but perhaps also in a bit of a snap out of it come on reality check kinda way. Rachel consoles Kat and tries to sort it out but also later Stuart comes to the Diary room and I think reiterates a good point that yes she was being dramatic, but also it could’ve been broached with a little bit more tact like ‘look calm down’ than just being over it and snapping iykwim.
  • Like i dunno people emotionally are different, and I think Kat just needed explaining like Lisa and Rachel were trying to do that Rex and Becs weren’t necessarily having a row or anything, they can handle themselves and just work it out after/or realise that they were getting a bit pent up over some trivial stuff in retrospect in the environment of the house, Like I think Rex later said when they were in the Diary room with Kat.

  • Anyways meanwhile, Mikey is shaving his eyebrows in the bedroom for some strange reason, its even comically captured on one of the screens in the background this week on BBLB - reminds me of the background moment you could spot the tricycle being thrown across the bedroom on the screen behind the evictee interview in BB7, LOL.
  • One of the special prizes in shopping this week was another song voucher - one for Regulate and another for Hanson’s MMM Bop - much to Becs’ excitement (and after spending most of the day in Jail for guessing nominations and not happy about it).
  • Jen is evicted, which is surprising to the housemates but then again Jen thinks she mightve gone as well. She appears on Big Mouth and also seems pretty rational in retrospect as well, she mentions (and did in the house) that the picture gate just got a bit out of hand with everyone having their own little simmering tensions that just all came out at once, and she dosent hate Rex or anything, she even looks back at the picture and laughs oh yeah remember how that started some drama how silly kinda thing. Rather than the new Queen bee of ‘The Whisper club’ as Darnell put it who was really holding it against Rachel and Kat and Rex and Mo and all them iykwim.
  • Anyways the three new girls will be interesting, Sara originally from Australia, Mo seems to have an interest in Maysoon and something in common with the arabic language, and Belinda Belinda seems pretty kooky and fun.

  • BBLB had Sylvia on of course, helping Zeze choose the best T shirt made by the housemates in ‘Zeze’s Tops’. and also backstage at Sunday Night Project. Other Guests included Vanessa Feltz, Andi Peters, Jeff Leach, Bec, Darnell, Rex, Jen, Kat etc F & F, Crimewatch presenter Rav Wilding (which led to a really weird skit and reenactment VT of Mario and Lisa tonguing each other, Nikki Graham played Mario, and I’m not sure who ‘Lisa’ was, but it was a bit wtf lol).
  • Zeze read out some questions from the forums in her chat with Davina this week, and someone called ‘Brekkie’ asked Davina 'if she could go off script in the eviction interview, what would she ask?’ Was that you @Brekkie ? haha
  • Big Mouth host was Nick Grimshaw with some funny opening skits, such as guest Pat Sharp using his dressing room toilet. Other guests included a virtual Audience from the US, Matt Horne, and Basshunter).
  • So yeah with most of that Alex/Dennis/Sylvia/Jen group pretty much gone now and three new housemates, I think this could be a bit of phase shift point in the season heading into Week 5. We'll see what happens this coming week.

    Onto the next few episodes!

LOL - I'm famous! Don't remember that at all! What was her answer?
Don't quite recall, and dang it seems that episode has gone down atm (Day 30 BBLB) there was one load last week I think it was the Monday BBLB that wasnt working when I got up to it. This season is hard too because its one of the only ones my two alternative playlists dont seem to have and random searching is a bit of a minefield spoiler wise, so I might follow that back up later if the link gets fixed or I can search freely haha.

I did note though Davina has commented on all the exfoliating Mario and Lisa have been doing lately lol. Some other interesting side conversations too like Mario discussing with Luke about job seniority and loyalty at the post office, Rex talking about Dreamcast and the N64 with Goldeneye and the Golden console or cartridge - I had the golden controller! haha. and Stuart asking Kat about Hinduism and which religion has Nirvana, That's Buddhism but Rachel seems confused that Stuart isn't referring to the band, maybe hasn't heard of that before lol.

I found the old Big Brother UK books the other day - there's some interesting content in them.

In Big Brother 2, they were planning to have 11 housemates enter on the first day, rather than having a late entrant. The only reason Josh went in later was because the website was only coded to show 10 housemates, and they couldn't add another! So they decided to turn it into a public vote and allow the viewers to choose a late arrival. I wonder who the original chosen 11th housemate was?

When they were looking for a new house for BB3, they discussed the possibility of having the production studios on the ground floor, the house itself on the 1st floor, and then a rooftop garden! I would have loved to see what that might look like.

I also enjoyed the explanation that the BB3 Diary Room chair was changed the day of the launch, and they had to bring it in past the launch crowd under a blanket. The original one had to be cut out with a hacksaw, hence why Jade got locked in the Diary Room on the first night - because they busted the lock trying to get it out.

The books are a real nostalgia-fest and a brilliant insight a.) into how absolutely mammoth the show used to be, and b.) the thought, care and precision that went into absolutely every aspect of the show.

Great insight. Think the house with rooftop garden above production is what Secret Story in France had for a few seasons.

BBUK9 Week 5 Done:
  • Ok it looks like the rest of the season will be very spotty on my current source as far as BBLB and Big Mouth are concerned, but at least most of the main shows and dailies seem to be there from the sample few I’ve been able to check; and two were missing this week (just finished Week 5); but its alright I can piecemeal things together fairly fine for now (Stuart got a bit of a hair cut and the pool seems to have been drained and refilled for some reason being two things I noticed).
  • If theres not another BBLB that has a working link atm from here on in, Bye Zezi, I was able to find that apparently she did a bit of a Natalie Casey (but lasted several weeks longer) and dropped off co-hosting around July 25th or something (circa Week 7? Rachel Stuart and Mikey were discussing it being about July 11th heading into Week 6). The BBLB this week I was able to see had Joe Swash and George recreating Mario and Luke ‘bitching’ about the others mere meters. way in that diary room party they had this week for the winning team of the ‘punch your way out of a paper bag’ competition. Caroline Flack was noted as the Big Mouth Host this week.
  • As mentioned they had a team competition mini task between the 3 new girls picking teams to relay punching their way out of a paper bag. Maysoon’s team wins.

  • Theres a lot of discussion about Belinda’s snoring during this week. First Mikey gets put in Jail for jokingly insinuating to Luke that her exit as a solution could be via nomination, Rebecca starts calling out her name which wakes some of the others up. Rachel and Kat move to B Block to get away from it, amidst floating the idea of Belinda doing one night alternating between Luxury and B Block, or Belinda takes over B Block and everyone else moves in Luxury, although B Blockers don’t like that idea of having to move from there. Towards the end of the week though she has a good night where it wasn’t much of an issue.
  • Belinda is getting on their nerves in other ways though, Mikey gets a bit fed up of her being too smothering about his condition during the task, Which is another learn a routine task with a Choreographer (Dale self appoints) split between Irish Dancing and a handful of drummers (Mario, Mikey, Belinda and Luke). It’s a bit more involved and highly technical than the previous one to learn though, and they end up so horribly out of time and sync with each other that BB loses count of the fails.

  • Nominations, Darnell’s name is thrown around a bit but ultimately its Mario and Becs up. Mario is kinda in an annoyed mood, also with Lisa for seemingly not looking at the others in a game sense, and it coming across like she’s doing a lot of cooking and cleaning where she can not because she likes doing it and is good at it, but to keep in the other sides good books or something when Mario thinks they’ll be out to get her out as soon as Mario’s gone or something like that. hmm. He’s also a little exasperated by Belinda and calls her out on the repeating her name thing and seems very thinly veiled getting stuck into her how he thinks she’s being extra to run around trying to work out who’s popular in the house as a game plan kinda thing.
  • Mario and Luke also think theres some kindof twist where Sara and Maysoon actually have each others jobs swapped for some reason (Model/PA) because of how extra Sara seems at times (she does seem to be a bit over enthused about listening to others talk about themselves at times, although sometimes it’s understandable (such as Rex’ casual chat nonchalantness about how he sometimes has 3 different mobiles and stuff), but others it may come across a bit put on. Rex shows her and Maysoon his ‘Chrome’ shiny sneakers. Rachel also thinks there might be some secret mission to fail the task as Sara seems to be distracting some of them from practicing by laying all over some of the boys, and Belinda’s being generally annoying.

  • Becs still terrorising Luke and chasing him around, She put some fake tan on him earlier in the week and also painted some makeup cat whiskers on a sleeping Dale which was amusing. Darnell on the other hand has started having it out for Becs, he hopes she goes on Friday and discusses it with Mo. Rebecca and Luke go a step further and kiss under the covers the night before the Eviction, but then they have major awkwardness about it the following day.
  • I thought it might have been more interesting of the two for Mario to leave this week over Becs (The BBLB Audiences initial sway to the noms announcement I was a bit hmm on cause it looked like a lot of them wanted Becs out) but it was Mario. I think it was the better call at this point it might bring out Lisa, Mikey and Luke in particular out a bit more from him not being there and shift up their dynamics a bit Iykwim. Rachel has a word with Lisa about the ‘Fence Sitters’ still being here thinking it’s referring to her and something Mario was talking about earlier.

  • Darnell also is getting a bit paranoid that he isn’t liked/how he’s being portrayed, a bit like earlier in the week when Belinda and Rachel were talking to Mikey in Jail and more shouting was heard outside, Stuart was getting a bit paranoid about how he is coming across and having a moment.
  • Darnell cant hide his disappointment very well that Becs stayed and Becs knows it, She and Luke/Lisa all think Darnell’s got the eyes on the prize and really wants the money. Luke also thinks he’s emerging as a bit of a leader of B Block vs the Luxury bedroom.

    Onto the next few episodes!

BBUK9 Week 6 Done (Pt 1):
  • Ok so the main thing this week was the introduction of HoH and also Heaven & Hell divide in the house. The first HoH (who will be responsible solely for the shopping list) was decided by democratic vote from Dale, Luke and Darnell who put themselves forward, and campaigned for themselves with a speech before The Housemates cast their ballots outside. Im thinking it wont be done that way every week for as long as this phase of the game lasts, might be a challenge or decided some other way.
  • Darnell is chosen with something like 9 out of 14 votes (the results episode was down from the list, I heard it mentioned in the following episode). Marcus did also mention the HoH candidates could vote for themselves, although both Darnell and Luke were shown voting for others, in a did they fully understand this or didn’t actually want the responsibility and burden of the role on second thought anyway (even though it comes with immunity from noms).
  • Heaven and Hell sides of the house are split through the small and long table, the two separate diary room doors are now used and the Hell Hms exit to the garden through the green door next to B-Block. The fence follows the curve around the pool (with a slight sliver of the pool sectioned off) and around to the task room door. Darnell brings over all the current B-Block roomies and basically flips the bedrooms except for Maysoon.

  • Belinda actually points out foreshadowing apart from the fact there were two bedrooms on opposite ends of the house in the wall aesthetics: along B-Block and the kitchen is red and jagged edges, whilst the bathroom, and opposite side wall has more elegant blue tones and the bathroom follows a luxury theme as per the Luxury bedroom.
  • One of the main differences in this season’s Rich/poor divide setup is that the food in the house is able to be shared between the sides (except where specified or given as specific treat by BB), but must be prepared by the Hell side as the Kitchen is on their side (that would make it ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ I guess is what they might have been going for haha).
  • The Hell housemates have to peel a heap of potatoes in order to earn the right to nominate. Luke gets to sit out this and the shopping task as he wasn’t feeling well early in the week. Lisa, Becs, Belinda and Mo were all close behind Rex in the noms, but Stuart’s nom for Belinda brings her up to one behind Rex for a head to head. As part of the Hell Hm’s hard work with the potatoes, Heaven Hm’s get a fish and chips dinner. Later theres a repeat of the suncream/toothpaste throwing prank by Stuart and Becs hiding behind the B-Block window towards Rex, Dale, Maysoon and some of the others on Heaven side, which escalates a bit into a messy food and water fight for a bit until BB calls them out.

  • The shopping task is split into two parts for either side. It’s a French culture appreciation one (kinda timely as we’re in the middle of the Paris Olympics watching this atm haha). Hell housemates task revolves around completing a french cycling marathon on two stationary bikes and video game-esque route in the task room, they are allowed 30 second changeovers, and have to try and do 30 minute stints individually for 30 hours. It’s also a task Mikey can participate in, and Belinda gives it her best effort (after much initial boasting she’s never ridden a bike before) and comes off after her shift quite dramatically claiming the fatigue was worse than childbirth, being consoled by Lisa. After one of the bikes is put out of order, they get reduced to trying to complete it using one.
  • On Heaven’s side, Darnell is the overseer, and the other six do a task in pairs appreciating French culture: Rachel and Maysoon perform a mime act, Rex and Kat have to do Gourmet food, and Dale and Mo wine tasting/ identification. The Thursday episode was also missing this week, but they apparently failed, until I can look it up I’d guess they didn’t make the finish of the bike task or they failed the Food/Wine parts, the mime performance looked ok.

  • Darnell does the basic shopping list, which he f’s up (only getting plain flour instead of self raising, and overspending which cuts off the rest of the list again), which exasperates Luke and Mikey in particular. One of the ever changing special token prizes this week was another Jail envelope, but this time it was for the Hell housemate who opened it to send one of the Heaven housemates to ‘Luxury Jail’ which reveals the glass vestibule pod in the garden is the jail equivalent for the Heaven side of the house. Belinda chooses Darnell to go there. Meanwhile, Stuart is in the Hell side jail for urging the others to nominate him next week as He’s missing his daughter and is ready to go.

BBUK9 Week 6 Done (Pt 2):
  • Eviction Day, BB gathers the housemates in the lounge to ask Darnell who should get a bacon sandwich/hash brown breakfast. He gives it to the Hell housemates, but theres a bit of tension over feeling like the other Heaven mates already had his decision made for him. Belinda is evicted (and her eviction interview is pretty funny, telling Davina all about her vulva on the bike task, singing a song about her BB experience etc).
  • BB gives the house Alcohol tells Darnell its for everybody, but he initially pranks Hell saying its Heaven only which gets Becs fired up and annoyed before revealing its a joke.
  • Luke, Becs, Lisa and Mikey are discussing Kat again in the Hell bedroom having a game plan and thinking she didn’t like Belinda ‘stealing her spotlight’ in terms of being extra.
  • Rachel and Kat doing quite a bit of pep talking for the others this week, at the beginning it was telling Mo to talk to Rex over missing his halal meat from the shopping list, then after the eviction they along with Mo were talking things out with Darnell who has become a bit more paranoid that he isn’t liked again, and now how his turn this week as HoH and now moaning about it might be putting him in the firing line as Mo put it seen as the weakest link in the house. Maysoon was also speaking to him about how he’s lived in many different countries and thats something that makes him interesting and everyone is different kinda thing, gives a bit of colour so to speak.
  • Darnell isn’t the only one questioning his position in the house, Rex is also still on a bit of a rollercoaster, he’s gone from again being happy to be up and actively being more snipey with the others in the hopes it gets him up and evicted, to revealing to Sara that he’s kinda jokey like that on the outside but then again he’s kinda not and putting it on a bit in there, but also at the same time he wanted a change up from where he was at in his life and the house has given him some time to think, but also that he’s learnt a bit about himself and now might be wanting to stay again.
  • but then not being evicted on Friday sends him right back into an annoyed state, where he doesn’t know if he wants to stay (2 more weeks and he thinks he’d be then seeing the finish line and wanting to go for it) or really wants to go but dosent want to walk, so its like a prison (or on brand for the theme atm… purgatory perhaps? haha).

  • Now this is an arc Im seeing develop and finding really interesting this season to follow with Rex and Darnell etc, but also Rachel has been slightly coming up a bit more to the forefront. Despite being labelled a big fence sitter by the others (Dale even sat on the fence earlier in the week to which BB replied ‘Housemates are reminded not to sit on the fence’ big LOL (side note both Mo and Mikey put their knees through it and got stuck and had to manoeuvre a certain way for it to slide easily back out)), Rachel’s started as I mentioned gaining a bit more of a presence being a sounding board to the others, and she even got a bit more involved in some of the fun moments like the pillow fights this week, which Luke noticed she was really throwing it back at Mo.
  • But (and I might explore this point a bit further at end of season) I did find the closing scene of this week a bit deep and poignant and I think it could be one of the defining ones of the season in terms of the Arcs of Rex and Rachel, was Rex thinking it could be highly unpredictable who would go if Rachel went up, and also who she’s up against. Then questioning if Rachel is the type of person never really putting herself out there with conviction or having an opinion, would that person ever be truly content with never really reaching a full potential of ‘success’ in life financially, etc, and would they then be someone who looks back on their life and goes’ well that was boring’. Rachel replies with ‘but I’m happy’.
  • As someone who has gone through a few separate periods/times both back then and even at times in the present of continual evolution of self reflection of feeling aimless/not sure of my next move/going through the motions, and/or having moments of feeling inadequate or needlessly comparing my timeline of achievements to others. I really felt that and I’m sure I probably would have at the time If I’d watched this season real time. Seeing someone like Rex, who although he’s already done so much at 24 (how old was Rachel again at the time?) but even he himself being at that point of ‘what now’ in his life, voicing that might’ve played on insecurities and existentialist thoughts a bit more, But OTOH I tend to find with age, (I’m 36, I was 20 when this aired and would have related to Luke being teetotal) the more I’ve learned that everyone’s different and its ok to do whats right for you and at your own pace kinda thing iykwim. So I could understand Rachel’s response as well.

  • Also this whole thing about being perceived as ‘boring’ or sitting on the fence I think sometimes is getting a little bit overanalysed at time in there in both the context of the game and the house environment as well as in a broader context on who they are outside - a bit of it could also be subjective and in the eye of the beholder. It goes back kinda as well to Rachel and Kat telling Rex that he brings out both good and bad in people on the show, or Maysoon talking to Darnell about him feeling he’s not in on the in jokes returning to the country but also has so much world experience of his own kinda thing in a way iykwim.
  • Anyways, Whoah we got a bit deep there haha (would’ve also made some good points for another psych guest update me thinks!), but it’ll be interesting foreshadowing if Rachel and Rex find themselves head to head at some point. They were even considering how an outcome of Stuart and Dale going head to head might be and making some guesses of the Top 6 and comparing who they thought, as we’ve reached halfway through the season.
  • Onto the next week, With only 3 available daily episodes this list I’ll have that done quick smart, So I’ll be back soon.

    Onto the next few episodes!

BBUK9 Week 7 Done:
  • We pick up from the Sunday Episode which covers Saturday. The next Heaven/Hell HoH reshuffle comes in the form of an Endurance test. Theres some squabbling over the selection of the 3 new candidates as Darnell cracks it and shouts at Rachel and Dale shutting down what looks to them like Darnell trying to direct it despite not being HoH anymore by doing the number everybody and someone comes back with numbers picked in their head, which they end up getting Stuart to do anyway. Lisa is up with Dale and Maysoon out of that, but then decides she dosent want it and Becs steps up in her place.
  • The three of them are dressed in Gorilla suits and have to sit on a tyre swing. There are bananas attached to the poles that only they are allowed to eat, if anyone else does, they are automatically going to hell for the week. Becs starts complaining almost immediately and bows out after only a few minutes (it took her longer to get into the suit than she spent having a go).
  • Mo as we know likes his food and contemplates getting the Bananas as he thinks he’ll probably be sent to Hell regardless. He not only gets many bunches, but jumps the divide to do it. Kat also follows him over. Rex and the others egg Rachel on, but she’s not going to give in to peer pressure.
  • BB calls both Mo and Kat into the Diary room to tell them they’re not only going to be in Hell, but they also broke a rule for jumping the divide. They get told to pack their suitcases which freaks them out a bit thinking it could be one of many possibilities (Hell but without clothes, or even an eviction decided by the other Hm’s). I was also guessing maybe until the task was decided, they could be spending time in that solitary confinement room (purgatory perhaps?) as they haven’t really used it since the Karaoke task.
  • The next episode was Tuesday and the nominations, so theres a bit of a gap there didn’t get what the outcome was from that. Later that night Kat and Mo have a discussion in the Bathroom about what it could be and also Mo dosent like the way Darnell is spiralling a bit.
  • Becs and Sara attempt to bribe Dale into telling them if he’ll bring either of them over from Hell if he wins. Darnell talks with the others and thinks there’ll be more of a chance of getting more of the Hell housemates over if he takes one for the team and eats a banana, getting Sara and Becs to kick one inside, as they don’t want to handle it too much if thats a rule break. This however prompts Maysoon to give up, making Dale the new HoH.

  • Nominations day episode; Hell (Lisa, Mikey and Sara stayed, joined by Darnell, Rachel, Kat & Mo) has to dice a pile of Onions to earn the right to nominate this week. Darnell has another bit of a tanty kicking the pile of onions. Mo cops a few nominations for the usual (funny no one mentioned ‘gluttony’ as part of a reason, joke was right there lol). Darnell tops the points, followed by Becs and Mo beneath him (I think Stuart’s nom for Rebecca pushes her up into the tie iirc). During this Darnell has a semi argument with Stuart about trying to claim that he did a straight swap of the bedrooms at the time (except Maysoon) whereas Dale just picked his mates. Stuart later is bitching about this with Dale and Luke.
  • Lisa also tries to tell Rex that she feels she’s had the hardest Journey so far in the house, from the secret task, on tenterhooks with Mario being up for eviction, to 2 weeks straight in Hell. I do think she has bounced back from Mario going though, as has Dale from Jennifer going, being eager to put himself forward for tasks and HoH. After all the hard work with the onions, Heaven gets a curry dinner.

  • Next and last available episode this week was the Eviction (covering Thursday’s action) Skipped the shopping task, but apparently they passed it, and thanks to Davina’s brief description, it was something to do with judging Time, filling jugs and making a clock, and dating objects.
  • Becs floats the idea of wearing a bin bag as an eviction outfit. Last week she did wear one alongside Lisa and Sara being funny. Theres some tension between Darnell and Mo after Mo asks to nick a cig from him and Darnell is just not in the mood.
  • BB tells Dale he has to provide entertainment for the house and I think the housemates were told that they have to be the most entertaining to win a prize/party. Becs jumps in the pool and gets her baps out again, and runs around and snogs Luke. They also have group discussions about who everyone thinks will win and who might be most unpopular on the outside.
  • The shopping list ever changing prizes this week included a box of eggs, a t-Shirt reading ‘I spent 1 pound on a special prize and all I got was this T-Shirt’, some Crabs and poo figurines, another big inflatable for the pool, and a special day trip to Heaven card, which they award to Sara. She gets a video camera and tourist attire.
  • They play a few games and Becs kisses Luke again as part of a losing thing, but then does the same to Mo and Luke feels weird about it, thinking he might feel a lot more for Bec than he realised. They have a one on one in the bedroom afterward, That Luke feels silly about feeling weird about it because they’re not like in a relationship or anything, and also the kiss with Mo wasn’t anything it was just a laugh as part of a game.

  • Becs goes with around 65 ish per cent of the vote. Bit of a surprising result, although not really at the same time, all 3 were pretty even personalities although it looked like Darnell was spiralling a bit, but a little while ago he was also high in the odds to win so he might have a bit of a fanbase too. They were even speculating in the house it could be partly the 3 way vote too - although as we know the percentage was still pretty lopsided so thats that.
  • Anyways another pretty funny interview with Davina, Becs was a bit wild haha. One thing now though, thats the end of ‘Ohhhh Rebecca Niiooowee’ from Luke, he’ll be a bit lost without her and have to readjust. Davina Mentioned Michael McIntyre was Big Mouth Host this week.
  • Bit of a fuller week in my list of dailies next week, only the Wednesday episode is down. It’ll be the last (Live) eviction episode thats up though until the Finale by my mapping until I can go searching more freely.
  • Wonder how long Heaven & Hell will last too - BB3 had less weeks, So Im making a guess maybe 2 or 3 more (4/5 in total)? and we could be back to regular from Week 10 or 11 (that’ll be around the Final 10 housemates without any double/surprise evictions).

    Onto the next few episodes!

BBUK9 Week 8 (Pt 1 - bit of a jam packed week this one!):
  • The next HoH challenge is racking up a points total eating chilli’s. (‘Hot as hell’ theming yeah?) At first I was confused why Dale and Darnell are even putting themselves through this but it’s for the added bonus of the HoH and top 3 will become Heaven mates this week, it’ll be a bit more lopsided 4 to 8 for reasons that will become clear later.
  • Kat does quite well, not flinching much and going for some of the hottest ones (up the 7 and 8 range) but she took too much time and ran out of 5 minutes otherwise she could’ve kept going.

  • Mikey also does well getting over 30 points. The thing was they weren’t allowed to tell the others what it was after they came out (but it was fairly obvious to guess). Mohamed's scene was so OTT it’s one of those things that’s a bit you feel for them doing that to themselves (but they don’t HAVE to as Rex I think said); but at the same time it’s pretty funny. The others can hear him screaming and carry on from the lounge, what got me was he goes for number 2 lastly, which is pretty long and yellow, goes ‘ooh looks like a Dildo’ and ends up tapping out hacking on it. Then proceeds to run out the diary room screaming and straight for the hell side outside showers and sink ( which btw is something I noticed has been revealed from behind a wall panel next to the jail). LOL.
  • Luke Stuart and Dale are not impressed witnessing this and thinking he’s acting it right up and putting the others off (which well duh, psychological tactics could be would you think).
  • Anyways it ends up Stuart beating out Mikey for HoH (he nearly did all of them, I think someone mentioned tactically could go for hottest first, also I was thinking smallest 6 and 7 were pretty tiny, don’t think anyone attempted that was shown number 5 which was pretty long and spindly). They also had to chew each bite at least 5 times, Rex said that the hottest part of chili is the seeds.

  • It’s a ‘gentleman’s club’ in heaven with Stu and Mikey, and Rex and Mo. they get some pampering products and some Meatloaf played in the bedroom.
  • Luke is again moaning about Kat and Rachel et al singing. Lisa (in front of Kat) jokes its like Luke’s favourite word could be ’Shut Up’ its like that Black Eyed Peas song. Kat isn’t sure how to take this as if Lisa is being condescending or whatever, Rachel tells her not to worry about it and they end up talking with Lisa the next day and sorting it over about not wanting to sound like a headmistress or anything but all the singing especially in the late hours can be a bit much. Luke is really feeling the void left by Rebecca and now being stuck in Hell for the week, he’s lost a bit of his groove and needs to get back into it.
  • I had the thought the ‘Heaven side jail’ also looked ‘cone of silence’ esque on opening night and fit for some one on one conversations, and bingo, thats what it’;s being used for this week as a ‘nominations pod’ for 2 housemates in Heaven at a time to discuss and speculate about nominations ONLY inside. Its also not like they can just have a free for all in collusion, its only a handful of them, and also they can just completely disregard it (as Mikey did with one of his ultimate votes this week as did Stuart went off ‘plan’ and nominated two other random housemates).

  • They try and think up a few different strategies, one that seems viable is Dale and Luke would be an interesting head to head. As mentioned Luke has been hit hard by Becs departure and Dale has been expressing having had enough and wanting to be put up/go.
  • BB stirs things up even more by giving the Heaven mates a boys night in in the Dairy room corridor room with drinks and pizza. They are shown the others’ Intro VT Packages, surprised in particular by Dale’s making him look like a tosser for the ‘nail it’ comment and dosent like kids talk himself up, Maysoon’s coming off as trying to be ‘sexy’ in the edit, and Rachel being a bit more energetic than she’s been in the house.
  • They come back and agree to tell the others about it. Rex just dosent buy Rachel at all, trying to explain that she’s not putting on an act and inside the house even some ‘big’ personalities can become stifled in the mix, or they realise they are a bit overpowered by others kinda thing (to her credit she has still shown moments of assertiveness and stuff). The same could be said for the way Rex has been acting you could say whether thats really in his character or it been played up just a tad by wanting to go, and as for Dale a lot of housemates really over-talk themselves up in those packages so you have to give a bit of leeway sometimes with those YMMV.

BBUK9 Week 8 (Pt2):
  • Hell housemates had to sort sprinkles into colours to be able to nominate. Dale and Luke come out with 6 and 5 points respectively. HOWEVER, due to nominations discussed in code by Stuart, Rachel, Kat, Mo, Darnell and Maysoon, all of them will be put up also in a 9 way vote.
  • The Task is a Cops (Heaven) vs Robbers (Hell) task. Cops had to do a stake out in. a cop car in the garden, whilst eating the meals. Mikey puts up a fuss about the Egg in an egg and bacon roll, Rex and Stuart are full so they’re at him a bit to try if he can, but I was also thinking just give the egg part to Mo, issue fixed as a few of the others were thinking, apparently even Mo though iirc is getting a bit full or something.
  • Luke and Lisa were given a task to quickly try and pick out Rex’s Girlfriend Nicole from a police lineup. They are trying to work out if they picked right with Rex.
  • Dale and Maysoon have a secret task to steal a token from Heaven and not get found out. The cops take each of the robbers into the interrogation room and interview them two on one and come back to confer. Dale tries his hardest to hint that if they pick him its ‘Not good for the house’ but Stuart takes that could mean it’s not good for Hell if Heaven passes. They make Sara rub head and twirl around which is funny. They end up failing the Police lineup and Rachel Kat etc counterfeiting part, but it rested on Dale and Maysoon, and they were found out spot on failing the whole task.

  • Maysoon has expressed wanting to walk in the last few days (and apparently has been thinking about it for over a week so it seems not just a knee jerk reaction to how she thought the news of her VT might have been received by the public the other day) and solidifies her decision after the results of the task. There are now 8 up for Fridays Eviction. Lisa for a laugh has Sara Lick some sauce off her collar area, theres an egg fight outside until BB calls them in.
  • Stuart was stripped of his HoH duties earlier in the week for the rule break, so its up to the Heaven housemates to do the shopping list. Rex has gone full chaos mode now, he floats the idea with Mikey of only getting a few basics then blowing the rest of the budget on 57 special token ever changing prizes and seeing what they get for the Lulz. He doesn’t tell the others until its delivered (but, only 56 of 57, this is important). They include some rhyming and themed stuff like some Ham, Spam, a baby pram, a song voucher from ‘Wham’, assorted powders, a framed photo of ‘Suspect #6’ that Rex is flabbergasted Luke and Lisa think was as good looking as his girlfriend, and two envelopes, which Darnell hides and opens one with Sara in the diary room, which is a pass to the noms pod for next week.

  • Luke and Lisa discuss Kat and Rachel turning up their personalities in the final week to collect the cheque. Lisa also has a bit of a disagreement with Rex on the morning of the Eviction about his joking around and her comment being fed up with him in front of everyone and giving him an unfiltered thought about how when he next sees Mario it’d make him look like a lad in comparison the way he’s been going on a bit too much since Mario left kinda thing. They hash it out later after debriefing with BB in the Diary room. Darnell also asks Kat if she is aware how much she’s self inserting into others dramas and seems like its making it her problem, Rachel tells her don’t worry about him he’s over analysing a bit and Kat cares about being a support to her friends.

  • Eviction, Davina announces that the lines closed at midnight, She’ll be periodically checking in to the house to tell them 2 at a time in no particular order who is saved. It comes down to Rex and Luke, with Luke going! which was a bit of a surprise to me When Kat and Dale were the last two announced as safe that was a surprise too I thought It might’ve been Dales week (even though he was then saying he’s ok to go but then might have wanted to have completed the rest of it out if he did go) or perhaps one of the others, but it will be interesting to see if the percentages are available and it could’ve been just that Rebecca going really threw him and he didn’t bounce back enough, or perhaps the vote being split a lot between so many nominees, if if would’ve been any different between him and Dale only, Interesting. Anyways he gave another really entertaining eviction interview.
  • The other big thing was that on top of Rex’s GF Nicole making a special appearance as this week’s ’57th Ever changing special prize’, She agreed to go in (only if Rex wasn’t evicted) as a fully fledged housemate! This could be really interesting, on one hand it could make Rex really mellow out plus its pandering to him a little bit at the same time, or it could kick up some things at the same time we shall see. Because Nicole crossed the Divide though she’ll be without her suitcase until further notice.

  • Then as if this week wasn’t wacky enough, Lisa has a moment missing Mario and seeing Nicole come in, she marches out of the toilet and breaks the fire escape in the garden to walk out! She only makes it as far as the security office and not actually outside the compund though, so good for her she’s allowed to return to the house after calming down and getting it off her chest kinda thing. Stuart jokes they could’ve got another new housemate and I rolled my eyes a little. lol.
  • So I think this will be another kinda shift change going into Week 9, Where I’ll pick up from Mon-Thursday episodes available right now then skip to Week 10 Monday to bridge the gap.

    Onto the next few episodes!

BBUK9 Week 9 Done:
  • Ok so picking up form Monday’s daily episode Rachel is the new HoH after some kind of Alphabet game. At first I thought maybe it was just the HoH swaps over to Heaven, but then I see its almost a full bringing everyone over (Lisa finally over on Heaven side plus Sara), Leaving Kat and Nicole and swapping Mikey. So It’s lopsided this week in Heaven’s favour, Only 3 housemates are in Hell. BB gives Rachel the task of making sure all the Heaven housemates are up, she’s annoyed by Mo keeping falling asleep and interrupting her jog around the garden.
  • The Hell Hms are given a task to sort mail for Heaven, in amongst it are letters from home, which of course makes everyone a bit emotional, especially Stuart as he’s really starting to miss his daughter. Rachel later gets the choice in the diary room to read her own letter or give the Hell side theirs, she chooses the latter, and tries to play off the others guessing that she had a choice, as in she didn’t do it for brownie points or anything like that.
  • Rex opened one of the vouchers and watched his Intro VT with Nicole. Later Darnell and Sara are mucking around and Darnell makes a cringy joke/question about if the love heart arrow on Sara’s T-shirt is pointing to where she wants love. Sara takes it as a joke but later hops in Stuart’s bed which makes Darnell really paranoid that he’s super embarrassed himself with Sara. Sara comes out and tries to talk with him but after that Darnell attempts to jump the divide and sleep on Hell side because he’s that embarrassed. BB tells him to go back over to heaven and he ends up sleeping on the couch.
  • The next morning BB tells Darnell he lost his right to nominate this week for breaking the rule about crossing the divide. He’s still in a bit of a funk and embarrassed mood all day holed up in the heaven bedroom, but after a chat with Rachel and Sara that he’s being silly, he comes around. Darnell and Sara have a moment talking about never having been in a proper relationship and stuff like that.

  • Hell side have to eat 300 Brussel sprouts in order to earn noms rights. The want to give up rather quickly but then try throughout the day. Mikey makes a concerted effort but concedes defeat later that night and tips the bucket over his head in the garden. Sara used her noms pod voucher with Rex but ends up voting another way than what was discussed. Stuart seems especially desperate to be up to the point he goes into a full tactical vote spiel of going Mikey and Sara to give him more chance of being up. Both He and Dale are up, which they are happy about, Mikey says in the Diary room he was going to vote them anyway so losing the right to vote turned out ok for them anyway.
  • Rachel has been washing up dishes and gets cryptically pulled up about it by BB in the diary room that it dosent seem fitting for HoH to be washing up. Rachel dosent see what the problem is (apparently its against the rules and only Hell housemates can do it) to which BB replies if she’s sure she wants to continue washing up ‘at her own peril’. Rachel is also given the duty of being the housemates lighter with a retractable dog lead lighter, because Rex was trying to light up using some unorthodox methods beforehand.
  • Rachel resolves to keep doing the washing up to help the other side, to the others confusion (same here, like was she doing it back when she was in heaven the first week, or is it only the HoH specifically or all Heaven housemates, or didn’t they get some revised Heaven/Hell notes/handbook when this all started and they should well know the rules as they do the Hell housemates must do all cooking by now? It’s strange that this has become such a point of confusion for Rachel, but hey, here we are with a b-plot for this week at the same time haha.
  • So Mo’s suitcase (along with Kat’s I presume) are still confiscated from the other week. He comes to trade some belts and stuff with BB in exchange for some sandals and pink socks. He gets what he asked for, only the ‘sandals’ have some high platform heels on them. BB informs him he must wear them at all times unless sleeping, doing the task etc until further notice.

  • The Task this week is all about Puppetry. The Hell housemates have to crawl into the stick puppet show booth 2 at one time and perform a routine every time the sound effect starts until it’s sounded again. They are on standby for 24 hours. Heaven have to learn and perform a ‘Bunraku’ style Puppet sequence about Table Tennis, which has two main performers (Sara and Mo) assisted by the others in black suits to give some matrix style moves and blend into the dark background. I wonder how they would have incorporated Mikey into that if he was on that side this week, as it was a pretty visually and physically technical task and everyone had a role apart from Rachel as the choreographer, whereas Mikey had no trouble doing the Hell side task this week with the hand puppets.
  • Later that night Mo comes out of the bedroom saying he thought he heard Sara and Darnell doubting if Mo could do the task well, when they were actually saying they had a big day the next day and would give it their best shot kinda thing. Darnell tells him as much.
  • Both sides do a great job and pass the task. Although theres also some tension as BB delivers the hell side a trolley full of dirty dishes labelled ‘Peril’ for them to wash up due to Rachel continuing to wash up, and wont exchange a hot water token to make it easier. Rachel apologises and takes the rap for it, although BB then awards the Heaven side a Chinese take out and Nicole has a moment, after Kat and Mikey discussed with her about pulling weight cleaning up and she’s just tired and a bit crabby. Rex isn’t impressed with Rachel and the dishes thing and even has a few words with Mikey about the chickpeas everywhere and all that.

  • Cracks between Rex and Nicole have been showing all week already, Nicole is feeling it being on the Hell side and Rex is a bit too much on her all the time asking whats wrong and stuff, or pestering her about information about the outside portrayals and that. He feels in the diary room that it’s hard that she’s been brought in because he has someone else to think about and yada yada. Later Nicole takes him saying Her being there can be mentally draining on him as challenge as him wishing she hadn’t come in (he wants her there though he says) and wants to talk to BB in the diary room, but heads to bed instead. It’s a pretty dysfunctional relationship already so far just based on what weve been shown here, are they/have they been like that outside? how long have they been together, have they lived with each other before we wonder, but this environment would sometimes be testing for relationships as well, so we’ll see what happens.
  • Ok so gap here as I had to skip for now to Monday Week 10. …And it looks like Stuart is still there surprisingly, Dale must have been evicted. I would’ve taken a guess that some of the public may have been more sympathetic to Stuart wanting to see his daughter than Dale having just had enough, but there you go. We shall see if this gives Stuart a boost or he just didn’t want to walk straight after surviving a head to head, as if Dale could have stayed (even though Dale also wanted to go). Interesting.

    Onto the next few episodes!

BBUK9 Week 10 Done:
  • Picking up from Monday’s episode again, The housemates wake up and the Heaven and Hell divide has been taken down. Stuart is still there and on Hell side, also Rex and Mo. Rex promptly comes over to Heaven to jump in bed with Nicole. Mikey is New HoH. Theres a whole thing this week aboiut Mikey taking the role seriously and walking around with a pitcher of water and a squirty rubber duck to wake up housemates sleeping during the day. He teases Rex with it a couple times to which Rex gets snarky, and even Kat gets really annoyed with him for a bit there.
  • There is a mini task combined with the typical makeover/spruce up they sometimes do unprompted, for some type of prize for the house. Very similar to the random mission they had in BB6, They choose a Barber (Lisa) to give the house mates a haircut with as much or as little as they’d like to fill up a small flask. Darnell agrees to fully shave, which fills up the flask almost immediately, however Kat goes next and mucks about, having a turn of the scissors to cut a tiny bit off Lisa. Only the Barber is allowed to handle the equipment, so BB gives them a second chance, telling Mikey to empty the flask and start over. Darnell gets a going over with whatever flecks are left, Kat gets a bit of a side shave undercut on an angle, and Mikey also goes full shave to win them… Some drinks it appears. Lol.
  • Mo jokingly slaps Mikey upside the head on his new haircut, later gets a talking to by BB about how it looks to which he goes and apologises to Mikey, who says he's ok with him now, just a little taken aback iirc. Mikey does get him back in a way later by Mo copping some water on his back for sleeping on the lounge
  • Rex and Nicole are still bickering, Rex goes on a tangent and is weird about Nicole noticing he has an outtie. Later they are mucking around with Mo and Dara outside and dares Nicole to kiss Sara and Sara to kiss Mo. Later on its getting a bit mirrored to Mario and Lisa’s time in the house with them trying out the exfoliating gloves in the bath, and also BB calling Rex to the Diary room at night when it seemed things might be getting a bit frisky in the bedroom. LOL.

  • Nominations, Nicole is fairly quick with hers. Stuart still wants to go this week, although in his nominations he nominates Kat just for if he’s up again and stays against who he thinks is a ‘favourite’ that will give him a boost. Unlike last week I guess when it was just a battle between who wanted to go more, but also the week before he Made it through but that was in no particular order so He could’ve been 2nd or 3rd in line to Luke for all he knows. Anyway Its Rachel and Stuart up for Eviction.
  • Darnell ends up overthinking things a bit again and causes a bit of group tension later by suggesting Lisa Mikey and Sara are sectioning themselves off in the bathroom talking to Stuart who might be leaving soon anyway so they might be in a way alienating themselves in the group dynamics or something along those lines maybe Idk, He’s a bit over-analytical at times haha.

  • Skipping to Thursday’s episode which is last on my list for this week, The shopping task is Olympics themed (as obviously this would line up right around the time the Beijing games would’ve been on. Mikey chose who would compete in which event based on some circuit training the day before. He has to sit in the Diary room and adjacent room, placing bets on who he thinks might win each event. There was walking in circles with egg and spoon (Rachel/Rex), Short Jump (Darnell/Sara), Floating with an Island on their crotch (Rex/Kat), Feather throw (Lisa/Mo) and slowest race (Stuart/Lisa/Rachel). Mikey got 3/5 right, which was the passing mark.
  • Mo talks to Kat, Darnell and Mikey about how he’s getting a bit more paranoid of people playing the game and might be thinking he’s ready to go home now. Darnell a little bit surprisingly agrees about Sara, thinking how she might be thinking being flirty might be atactic to get the boys in the palm of her hands or something kinda thing
  • I’ve got another gap here, next available episode is Sunday’s in Wk 11. Stuart has gone, and The housemates are wondering if there’s going to be another HoH now being so close to the finish.

    Onto the next few episodes!

This feels like a more frustrating rewatch, and not just because of the missing episodes. I enjoyed BB9 at the time and it's probably the best of the later C4 series but not sure I'd want to watch the full 100 hours of it.

(BTW, did the #Big-Brother channel on EFNet on IRC ever get fixed - they used to be pretty much a safe bet for a complete archive but it started to fall apart over the last couple of years!)

It's not too bad, Ive been able to get this far almost to the end (which I've just completed and now I'm halfway into the Launch of CBB6 whilst wrapping up my end of season posts) without having to do too many big skips over super relevant episodes (I've been able to fill in now I've finished the season a bit more using wiki and some strategic searching for clips like the Wk 11 Thriller task performance I've been able to track down). But at the same time I can come back to see what else I can find later, as sometimes it thinks I'm looking for 2009 as well so can be sometimes tricky to avoid stumbling on anything hinting at who's there when/partial spoilers from CBB6 or BB10 at this point. Haha.

Also Davina taking over Big Mouth full time in BB10 will ease the episode load as well, from what I gather it goes down to only 1 episode per week. During the first half of BB9 there was a lot more random media guests I noticed.

BBUK9 Weeks 11, 12 and Finale week Done:
  • Ok so Wk’s 11 and 12 trimmed down a bit more on available links atm, so I’ve pretty much been able to fly through to Finale week with Monday, Wednesday and Friday (Finale) available and fill in the rest of the gaps well enough with wiki etc, and selectively been able to find a few clips for now (might come back for more later) of stuff like the Thriller video shopping task. So Not too bad for being this close to the end without having to skim as much on this watch through.

  • Week 11 I was able to watch the HoH selection episode (Mikey’s one last week btw was a cake sculpture judging task). This week it was the remaining eligible housemates, Lisa, Kat, Mo, Sara, Rex and Nicole. holding poses as famous statues. They all think the one who did ‘The Thinker’ had the easiest pose (Mo), but It’s Rex who outlasts him after Nicole is eliminated (Rex and Nicole were a duo as ‘The Kiss’) to become the new HoH. Mo says it wasn’t as easy as it looked because of his arm, Rex’ also had a degree of difficulty holding still/readjusting as little as what I’m guessing was allowed while Nicole moved away.
  • Later Nicole and Rex are still bickering Nicole says he only thinks of himself and makes her feel like shit sometimes. Ouch.Kat and Lisa start singing a bit of Agadoo. LOL.
  • Big gap for the rest of the week, apparently some highlights were Rex choosing housemates to work in duos to create a bubblegum portrait of him. He chooses Nicole and Sara’s as the best and they win a Diary Room Party.
  • The shopping Task is to create the music video for Michael Jackson’s Thriller. Sara, Lisa and Nicole are up and Nicole is evicted with 94%! is that the new record up to this point or what.

  • Week 12 I picked up from the Tuesday episode. Apparently over the weekend Mario was able to propose to Lisa somehow (I saw during the finale they showed him making an appearance in the Garden to do it through the windows of the house) and they are now engaged. The Final Nominations round is actually for the final HoH and Mo finally gets his shot and wins one vote ahead of Kat iirc.
  • Darnell has a bad episode, first upsetting Kat over him pointing out that getting Mo elected was not just as a result of her alone. Rex also annoys Rachel attempting to comfort Kat as her making a bigger deal out of it all. Later Darnell, Rex and Mo are all ‘joking’ with Sara about having ‘been around the block’ but lay it on wayyy too much to the point that its pretty gross and she should be rightly ticked off. Darnell takes it too far by then calling her an ugly bitch and a slut ‘because he wants her to win’ like that makes no sense. Mo also tries to check if Sara’s been crying in the diary room. She later does with Kat and says how she cant wait till Darnell gets out and is able to see the way he’s been so paranoid and defensive with everyone and having an oh shit epiphany about himself, she just cant seem to read him or get a handle on him kinda thing.
  • So another skip to Saturday’s episode. Apparently Rex and Darnell were both given warnings over the Sara treatment. it also seems that between this the Luxury bedroom was shut down and they all moved into B-Block. The shopping task was Las Vegas themed and they all then gambled their winnings away on slots and there was some kindof of failure due to Mo cheating or something.
  • Anyway the ‘special’ this week may have been the Face To Face nominations, and prisoner’s game style twist with Lisa and Sara, the nominees, playing Share or Take cards. They won 25k each as part of that game.
  • Friday they split into teams to do a cheerleading routine task for either Sara or Lisa. Lisa was evicted, there are a lot of Cheers in the crowd for her. Darnell and Sara have made amends however they start to flirt a bit in the pool and Rex thinks its still that Darnell might take her playfulness as more than it is sortof thing or cant really read her. The others all tease Darnell when he runs inside to get in the bath with Sara that he has to hide a hard on.

  • Finale Week. Monday’s episode saw the housemates holding a Sunday roast for all 5 HoH that was waitressed by Kat and Sara, the only two left never to have been HoH. They give speeches and Mo is still a bit salty over Rex declaring him worst HoH ever. Darnell and Kat row over Darnell joking after the HoH come out of Diary room that if they were asked to evict Kat or Sara he’d choose Kat, which she’s offended by. Darnell storms off to the Diary room as if he wants to walk, however calms down and returns to the house. Rex theorises he doesn’t want to leave the house looking bad. Darnell reflects on this in the Thursday episode that he knows he can become a better person after he leaves by learning about himself whilst in there. He also questions Sara on why she thinks Mikey should win as if it might make her look better to say that without really getting tom know Mikey.
  • There is a special surprise double eviction on The Tuesday night, It occurs in the midst of all the housemates playing each other at a time mini task which is kinda funny, and a good twist on the typical ‘do a play based on the events in the house playing other previous housemates’ task they typically do in the final week. Mo goes first, Then Kat, big surprise to the housemates.
  • They have a final dinner and a dance/singalong. The Finale has the stage back on the left hand side of the house with the ex housemates beside the eviction door. Darnell is 5th, Rex 4th, Sara 3rd and its down to Mikey and Rachel, with Rachel winning.

Next: Some overall season wrap up and Housemate final thoughts.

Hold that thought, success, Found it. As I'm following the links in the CBB6 list (both CBB6 and CBB7 are completely absent atm from my other archive I've been utilising) Theres mention of a separate list link for BB9 thats been fixed up in the last couple months in a separate part. (Similar to the link I used for the second half of BB6). All good. I might as well check out the Finale Big Mouth & BBLB Reunion, and maybe a few other bits and pieces or come back to for later before resuming CBB6. ;)
