I'm not an expert when it comes to Aussie ratings. But you should explain this to OZtam because they support @Zcsund1234. They say on the linked website this when you hover over "Total TV National Average Audience":

Because now it counts to the numbers you see for the reach and average. It just shows you what the split is.

Fair enough. I think "reach" is a pretty strange metric for TV stations to be telling potential Advertisers; just 1 min TV or 15 sec BVOD viewing counts.

Who knows? Maybe TV stations are trying to count every last fleeting viewer, given overall broadcast TV viewing is in freefall and has been for years.

Or maybe Reach is a useful metric for TV programs which most people do not watch from start to finish, like Olympic Games, Test Cricket Matches, etc.
