Ben Sheehy is a bit of a surprise package isn’t he! I like the variety.
Good show again tonight but I thought last night's was better. My personal favourites were Connor and Harry from tonight...at least one of them made it.
Years ago. someone said that certain songs should be banned from Idol and similar shows...one of them is RESPECT along with River Deep, Mountain High. I agree. It's not that most who try can't do them justice it's just that they have been done to death.

I am just watching it now. But i was there live and I thought Connor was fantastic. I was hoping he would go through. I think Harry is good but a little overrated.
Ok I found one little editing thing. After Maya was given the touchdown. Meghan says “hey over there” to the other contestants waiting, when they filmed that they didn’t get the reaction shot from the contestants so in the ad break they asked the contestants sitting in that area to look towards Meghan and smile and nod so they could film the reaction shot. It looks ok if you don’t know that’s what they did, but knowing that wasn’t filmed together… the head nodding looks forced

Yeah, that was disappointing. Harry is cute, but did he sing one note in tune? I thought Cooper was a shoe-in. I am disappointed about Damien, also. I do not understand the touchdowns. Maya is cruiseship, and Phoebe was shrill. I am glad Sash got through, though he was pitchy too.
Cooper’s performance was 
I had forgotten how not very impressive Harry’s performance was juxtaposed against how much praise he received from the judges. 
On the night I LOVED Sash. I still liked him but definitely had more presence in person than came across on screen.
I think that’s a fair comment. It’s basically in the feedback. He was put through for what he represents as opposed to his talent or performance. Apparently he has “intangibles”

Harry was clearly the worst and most unsuitable of the 8 tonight.
I’ll watch tonight’s show tomorrow .. but I did see a spoiler that one of the guys I liked doesn’t make it through 
I am loving it, the production is excellent and it deserves to be doing better in the ratings.
However earlier this afternoon I watched the first 20mins of the new season of American Idol and the first two auditions were pretty incredible. There are some great voices in Australian Idol this year but I’m not sure that there is a super special stand out who will have career longevity. I think some of that depends on how many performances they get to showcase in the final 12 - finale rounds and how they grow in performance and popularity.
Anyway. These are the first two American Idol auditions for 2023. Amazing imo!

I would watch American Idol if it were still on tv but I'm not chasing it.
Meanwhile, I thought they got 3 out of 4 right tonight.
Angelina, Jasey and Josh were very good.
I would have put the last girl through over Noora though, who I thought was all over the place vocally.
Harry displayed his musicianship with the band. I don't think the others would have a clue.
I hope they have a wildcard round for a 13th position, and it should be Cooper.

I’ve got Hulu, most of their stuff is now on Disney+ but I pretty much keep Hulu for American Idol (and 9-1-1).
I agree but I’m fairly certain there isn’t as the Final 12 live show is the next show (on a Sunday). I wonder if someone pulled out who the judges would choose from the rest to fill the position? I think Cooper was robbed. Haha.
I was going to write that I agreed with the judges except about Noora...when she was singing I thought "oh no Noora" but I thought the judges must have seen or heard something I didn't. I really hope they put her through because of her ability and not for any other reason...bit the same with Harry.
