2014 Today I ......

Well this is a bit weird, the old place is all blindingly white, shiny and new - bit like that freaky boys kitchen on the block.
Prefer grimy, grungy industrial - work in progress, hope Tim dims the light a bit eventually.
Posting to see what happens next, I just got a trophy for my 1st post - this could get distracting.

"today i ..." enjoyed reading this: http://themattwalshblog.com/2014/03/29/im-a-christian-and-i-think-noah-deserves-a-four-star-review/

deem "the book was better" included.

From the above link:

... You can hate this film without watching it, for the same reason that you can assume Citizen Kane is slightly superior to Need For Speed, without having seen either of them.

Just use context clues. Use your judgment. Use your money on something else.

Noah is a major Hollywood blockbuster, made by an atheist director best known for his previous flick where a mentally disturbed lesbian ballerina goes insane and bleeds to death on stage. Already, a critical person might be slightly concerned about his handling of the Bible, considering what he just did to the ballet.

These concerns grew from suspicion to reality before it was even released, when the man himself came out publicly and professed Noah to be both an environmentalist propaganda piece, and the “least Biblical” Bible film ever made.

He wasn’t lying.

But he forgot to mention that it’s also a terrible film.

...

oh well, looks like it is another film one should simply D/L and buy the DVD version of when it makes it to the jbhifi bargain bin. ;)

On that topic, jbhifi is currently selling what I reckon is an EXCELLENT DVD series.

"The Legend of the Seeker". (Based on "The Sword of Truth" books, or something like that)

LSCP and I got both seasons of it the other week and are loving it. Considering that it was made prior to 2010, it is easy to see where Bethesda got many of its "Skyrim" ideas from ... and perhaps even the author of "Game of Thrones".

Sam Reime is involved and well shot beautiful locations in NZ are bountiful. External locations and sets inside homes etc are just soooooooo Skyrim.

I hated the Mord-Sith type characters to start off with but the main one in Season 2 has been quite likeable, especially for all the humour she is bringing. Like, I lurved how she dealt with some Vegos/vegan types when she brought in some freshly killed rabbits.

Cara: I brought you dinner.

She has a couple of dead rabbits slung over her shoulder.

Cara: Quick little bastards, but not quick enough.

Vego: Thank you, but we never eat anything that’s been killed.

Cara: Actually, I found them by the side of the road where they died a natural, peaceful death.

me & lscp: bwahahahahahaha :)

meet her here ... spoilers alert mind you.

Yesterday I got a message on Facebook telling me to go "have a look at the new forum", and today I am blown out by the change. I think it looks fabulous!

I have actually been trying to consciously uncouple from the forum in the off season due to my responses being more cunty than usual. While I realise I am always around a Level 3 - 5 cunt, I find in the off season, without the distraction of BB, it drives me up to the Number 1 Monumental Cunt position, and outside Uncle Bernie, no one wants to be the Number 1 Monumental Cunt all the time.

Drawing on Derspaz's yearly apology as inspiration, I am going to try to be nicer this year. While the prospects of getting the least amount of "likes" and winning the Least Likable spot on the BBB Awards still drives me, I am going to do my best not to make anyone cry.

Oh my God!

The word cunt is no longer censored!!

I may well be getting my first week long ban before the season even starts!

Ha!

Today due to derspatz's zaniness I nearly choked on my handful of almonds and sultanas I was laughing so hard.

Uncle Bernie that is just too funny! I swear to your God, if I didn't hate you so much, I would fucking love you!

Seriously funny stuff!

:p

Noah

I thought about checking this out - but then I saw the director

I detest Aronofsky - he's had 2 chances, blew it both times. Self indulgent wank.
Requiem for a Dream - wankers carry on like it's a masterpiece, it is not. It is pedestrian pain, so predictable it hurt.
The stupid ballet farce. Hell I was disappointed.
Thought he might rise above his previous crap, and the ballerina would actually turn into a bird, something, anything, interesting might happen.
But nah, same old, same old, misery of the human mind in weak people.

The guy is an idiot, and any film critic that approves is on my dead list.

I deliberately coloured this one to match the other two that I've coloured of Madam Mirage previously as I have them hanging on my wall as prints. This one will inevitably go on the become a third framed picture.

This is also the first non-commission picture I've done in almost 2 months!

"today i ..." see it didn't take long for ESO walkthroughs to make it to youtube.

IE

anyhoo, sadly (meh that back in 2010 TV execs didn't have more vision), LSCP and I have now finished watching both seasons of the excellent series "The Legend of the Seeker", so the release of "The Elder Scrolls Online" is somewhat timely.

Yesterday, 2 great things happened -

1. I won $66 on Powerball - this is huge, I never win anything. Nobody I know or am related to has ever won anything bigger on a lottery.

So I was having a good day.

Then doing my Saturday food shopping, passed by Salvos, spotted 2 cream sofas - for $60, how cool is that.
Washable covers, awesome for our back room. They look new.

Good things come in 3s....

Today I.... thought I'd pop in and check out the new look.

---Snazzy!

Then I thought I'd give myself a new Av since my last one got lost in one of the hacks a while back. This looks exactly like how I feel today!
#notanaftersexselfie (ewwwww~!)

"Today I ..." am happy that the latest season of GOTs is underway but couldn't help notice "The Legend of the Seeker" from back in 2008 to 2010 examples far greater effort when it comes to consistent functional authenticity of costume and sets.

By comparison, GOTs looks almost amateur.

Oh well, each series has its "meh" elements. Like, AFAIC, TLOTS seems to have more than its fair share of mostly unnecessary torture moments, and GOTs has far too much unnecessary nudity and perversion, etc.

I mean, would any of us really be watching these series in order to see such things and would we miss them if they were not included ?

I'd watch GOTS even if half of every episode was CGI dragons fishing. Rather that than yet another pointless minute of naked human flesh that brings absolutely nothing worthwhile to the story arc.

Anyhoo, til next week I guess it is back to watching youtubed walkthroughs of "The Elder Scrolls Online" while I make up my mind as to whether I'm ready to upgrade hardware and do the monthly subscription thang to it.

When does BB 2014 start ?
