Last movie you saw

Have you noticed at the start of DVD's now they have that "what are you really burning?" warning but they specifically use Australian moves and words like you are ruining the Australian film industry.. I don't think they give a stuff about Americas lol

So I say don't burn Australian movies, just crappy American ones that should not be worth $30!

Nup...... Never seen that. Most of the dvds I buy have the stupid video "would you steal a car?" "would you steal a handbag?" "would you steal a movie?" "Downloading is stealing"..... Drives me nuts.

Took my boys to see Nims Island today. They loved it.
I quite enjoyed it. Probably give it a 6 out of 10 (I enjoyed and laughed at Hortons much more)
The young girl was good (Abigail someone??).
And I cried at the end.
Typical!! LOL

Death at a Funeral - I thought it was American judging by the cover (I swear I saw John Cusack, as it turns out a British look-alike). Turned it off when I heard the British accents, got bored and decided to give it another chance a few hours later... very average, not very funny... 3/10.

Halloween (Rob Zomie remake) - Started off promising, really sick Rob Zombie style, but after the first 20 minutes it degraded into typical, generic shit and was so boring.

Cherry Crush - I love Nikki Reed, but this movie was shit.

Death at a funeral was over rated.

1408, the new Stephen King movie with John Cusack.

I have one word to describe this movie a mindf*ck!

English accents are boring? Must remember not to mention Catherine Tate, Yes Minister and the great British films of the last 50 years.

I thought Death at a Funeral was hilarious.

Death at a funeral was overrated.

I'm with Todd. It was fantastic, especially Alan Tudyk - the American, as it turns out.

By the way, I still haven't seen my namesake on the 3D screen yet. Am looking for the opportunity, though.

I used to find British accents a turn off, when I was about 12, but then I discovered all their wonderful comedy, drama and other entertainment. Not to mention "Eastenders". Now it's my favourite type of accent. Plus they make better quality stuff than the Americans. And all.

F*ck, I saw that on the shelf and was about to get it. I've rented 4 movies this week and they've all been shit. I'll get it next time, I love mindf*cks.

I wanted to see "1408" but at the cinema and I think it's long finished up there. "The Mist" would also have been good.

I need to choose a good movie for the cinema this Saturday (provided I get leave pass), any ideas? Preferably a scary flick but doesn't have to be.

Definitely Maybe It wasn't too bad for a chick flick and Isla Fisher is suprisingly good in it and hot! :p but you watch the trailer and make up your mind if it went too far?

I saw Death at a funeral. It had a few funny moment towards the end but otherwise pretty boring.

Also saw the one with Robin Williams as a priest. Not bad...but frustrating.

Started watching the one with Anjelina Jolie as a journalist's wife & could only cope with about half an hour...booooring.

Well I can't see the youtube videos on my work computer, but I'll google the Isla Fisher movie you suggested.

The only chick flick I usually liked was the one with dicks, as Dennis Quaid called it. But I did like "Sleepless in Seattle" and "Castaway"

I finally got to see "Faster Pussycat Kill Kill" in it's glorious entireity.... What a fun movie. Reminded me of a lot of present day movies, and for some reason made me think of Kill Bill, don't know why but it just did..

In fact so enthused was I I discovered one of the old models I have made was the car in the movie and did some photos of it in the "Today I...." thread.

I remember that evil big breasted woman killed the hunky "vegetable" guy and that was a bit sad.

:(

Finally seen U23D. Fantastic - the detail, the perspectives, the way layers are used. Awesome - even if you're not a big fan of the music. And the glasses are much different from the way they used to be.

It occurred to me, though - U2 are a very political band in that concert. Indeed, that seems to be the whole show now. Not that I'm complaining.

they still seem to stay relevant, U2.

Mind you, they do an awful lot of touring. I think the REM guys got a bit lazy about the touring thing.

Zoolander was on last night. I'd never seen the whole thing before.
What a gloriously stupid movie. Loved it.

Halloween (2007 remake) Pretty crap. A few jump moments, but it didn't have the same effect as the original had on me. Michael wasn't scary at all!
