Episode Day 2 (10 Nov 2025) - Live Special - 13th HM

You do speak some truth here. There was maybe one or two moments aside from the diary room confessionals where music was unnecessarily used. I can understand using some silly music while Emily was in the bargain shop thing, but the use of it in the diary room for Connor and Colin was so Channel 7 coded.
We should also place these sorts of comments in the music thread, just in case they do actually get read by somebody noteworthy. ;)

Why does it change your opinion of her by simply knowing it?

If it wasn’t there, you may never know.

Does her bio say if she’s team “Parma” or team “Parmi”, because that’s a bigger issue to me.
You're not getting it. It was a public vote. Her bio having her political affiliations for another country was unnecessary, but that was something in her bio.

She's actually come across as very open minded on the live stream discussion she's having. Abiola did say something about her being gay was something production have encouraged (pushed) her to say a lot, so maybe the same thing for Jane is being a trump supporter? At the end of the day it is a television show and they want everyone to have a niche thing to be remembered for. I am sure Jemma Gawned has more depth than just lipgloss...
God, that's a person I would never have remembered without you mentioning it. I wonder what Jemma is up to these days.

But we don’t know who is writing the bio.

It may be something she said during an interview and producers noted it, but the fact that she was 67 and all the other things they highlighted were deemed more important people the voting public.

Thankfully, your vote didn’t cost you a cent, and certainly was not subjected to a tariff.

Again, Whoosh.

I'm not much into this series at least so far. I know they say it's back at Dreamworld but im feeling like it may as well just be a more live version of the channel 7 series.

Their space outside is absolutely tiny too! Can't see the housemates here having much of a jog around like in previous years, kicking a ball around or having a big tiff like Drew and Tully did whilst Ben was in the pool, etc.

I'm torn here.

Love that Ten wanted to give BB another crack, but I'm unsure as to who has the final say in what the finished product looks like.

I don't get why they'd stream all 8 seasons of the OG BB, hype up all the fans that grew up in that specific era, to then give us this? Was someone in production (namely Jonathon Summerhayes) wanting to bring more of the OG feel to it, but was overridden by someone else and this is the compromise?

I feel they're trying to please viewers from all 3 previous eras of BB, which can be rather tricky, but it's just getting a bit bleh.

Grateful it's back! And it's only DAY 2 but it's... AHHH I just want milk that tastes like real milk!

It does feel this way. Like strong creative directions were chosen initially but then watered down in a panicked way.

Just something as simple as the 2025 eye logo situation... they had obviously chosen a certain design which got used on lots of promo, but at the last minute the logo gets changed to try and be like the old OG logos which made it worse. Seemed like some one was panicking from exec.

Now the show has started and you can see the same panicking and messy creative direction. It's slightly BBUK but not really. It's slightly OG but not really. Some one clearly panicked about reviving a format from 10+ years ago and decided they need to stick with what Channel 7 was doing. They were probably worried about the youth audience. But again, why did they market it as OG if they care about youth?

A similar thing happened in 2008. They did honestly try to reinvent BB that season, but then never allowed themselves to follow through with their creative direction. They panicked and started throwing shit at the show, and ended up killing it completely.
