Doubtful. That ending seemed very purposeful. Nearly 90% of the episode was pre-packaged Daily Show content, so they knew exactly how long the show and each segment was running in regards to time.

There was very little live content from the stage in comparison, so nothing that would’ve caused it to run overtime to begin with. The show likely ran as planned.

Ah okay, Mel's wrap up at the end seemed a bit rushed... so I thought they had something else planned. 🤔

Mum and I finished watching this inaugural 2025 BBAU live special with positive feelings - a 7.5/10 from us.

PROS:
- Mel finding her feet as a fun host.
- Live audience had more energy.
- Ten using socials for task votes.

CONS:
- Editing was too similar to Seven.

The ratings are solid, having retained over 80% of their launch night viewers, am looking forward to tonight.

Ok so caught up, Yeah some bits are slightly a bit cringe, Like them not remembering theyve done the wildcard housemate before in 2007 and it not being an AUSTRALIAN FIRST would be something I'd maybe expect of Nine's version coming off Ten's Original run (Kinda like when Ch 7 would refuse to acknowledge Ten's only season of X Factor in 2005 and talk up Little Mix to their face that they were the first group to win the show worldwide when we had RANDOM... but I digress).

And yeah less is more guys the same 'sob moment music underscore' twice in the same episode is not needed (could understand some underscore being used for like a montage of housemates recaps of an eviction and whatnot but yeah), but hey at least its minimal with a few stings and not overly done I guess.

I can get by and let slide to an extent some of these little teething things for having the show back on in at least its proper format, and OTOH its kinda good that this is all coming out now in this 'test run' and hopefully they can settle into it more and refine it by the time 2026's Season rolls around IYKWIM.

Question, I wonder if they are ever going to clarify who can wear what (as Emily thought) because in Colin's snatch and grab there must have been some of his own stuff in there. It cant have been removed before the housemate enters because Emily found her own stuff in there, so its kinda confusing Maybe It was that at least for this first task, then they'll just win it all back at the end and forget about it, everyone has their own shit back.

The rules are whatever they say they are in the moment. Emily only being able to grab others clothes was to cause drama between the girls and Colin’s haul was to make him look like a genius to the casuals.

The comments on IG were insane calling her and idiot when obviously she had a completely separate set of rules and things to consider. This coupled with Colin’s meltdown over being rated least intelligent pretty much proves he’s the producers golden child. Shocking that more people aren’t seeing it for what it is.
