The Fitbit Cult

lol @Trala , I love that it comes with toggles and dongles.
I haven't worked out the sleep bit yet, it still says no sleep logged.
I put mine on my non dominant arm too, it felt less intrusive.
I agree with you about motivation - the step counting is the main reason I got one, I reckon it will push me if I have a number to aim for. I don't want it to become an obsession (but it probably will).
I thought the word "toggle" was Spanish for penis.

They are a great motivator, unless you are recovering from knee surgery...

I think yours is fancier than mine. I have the flex. It is pretty easy to navigate. Once you have programmed a goal, mine is 10000 steps, it vibrates 3 times to let you know when you hit it.

It is so going to become an obsession, but given you are among the obsessed - this is a safe place for you.

Step Meglos STEP!!!!!

Ok @Meglos when you goto bed, double tap your flex and it should light up and vibrate, thats activated it into sleep mode, then when you wake up you do the same thing, I forgot to do mine last night because mine has been off my wrist for a week, it would of been interesting cos I woke up 100 times being hot then cold hot then cold and the dog next door barking, I love dogs, LOVE, prefer them to people, but this one... its name is tully (no joke) and well, its the same as she was, name and nature!

Really?!

I have been logging sleep by going in to my iPhone and starting sleep!!

What else am I missing?!

Mutts, mine doesn't do it!

It only syncs with a double tap

Yehuh!

  1. Once you are in bed and ready to fall asleep, tap your Flex rapidly for one to two seconds.

Your Flex will vibrate and display two slowly dimming lights to indicate that you have entered sleep mode. When your Flex is in sleep mode, goal progress will not be displayed if you double-tap. Instead, your Flex will alternate two blinking lights back-and-forth to indicate that you are currently in sleep mode.

  2. When you wake up, tap your Flex rapidly for one to two seconds to exit sleep mode.
Once you exit sleep mode, your Flex will vibrate and flash all five LED indicator lights three times and then display a spinning light pattern. When your Flex syncs with your account, you will be able to view your sleep stats on the dashboard.

Does it too me all the time when Im hammering too (don't be rude)

Hey @bleachy_dude we were so similar on Friday night!

Last night was such a mess though, I'm honestly happy with the amount of hours I got which is pretty sad really.

This has been such a chaotic week for me, I'm looking forward to things going back to normal this week with much more reasonable bed times and more consistency in routine. Hopefully!

Getting home at 1:30 and then surfing the net / forum for an hour is not helpful I imagie.

Oh wow. Yeah, you are totally my soul sister. Like I said though, my routine this week had been terrible, hopefully this week things resume and then hopefully improve.

Hey Fitbitters!
My first full day, and I just reached my 10,000 steps.
I probably overdid the exercise because I was enjoying watching my total go up, I won't do it every day.

How did everyone else go today?

How good is that little 10000 vibration you get to say "Go you" :D

Woohoo!
I was with a friend tonight who also has a fitbit and at around 11pm we both realised we were both around the 8k mark. So we ran around the hall we were at for about half an hour until we both hit 10k!

I was so tired come bed time last night, I thought I'd get more sleep to be honest. That's pretty good for me though.
