I care. There seems to be an unwritten rule about "Appreciation" threads. And I can see why because it's SUPER easy to start another thread or post in an existing thread that already supports your view. So why be an unneccessary CUNT? Yeah....

We are all judging, that's what forums are for. There are no unwritten rules to appreciation threads. When something is open for discussion all bets are off!
 
@SomeName, I agree. I personally have chosen to avoid the appreciation threads of hms I don't like this year. I think. Don't hold me to my word from earlier in the year lol. But I do think if people want to have discussions then it's fine so long as it stays clean since it is an appreciation thread. But yes, I will judge too. So judge away it is.

But what @SomeName means us that the threads have titles, so sometimes as an unwritten rule, it would be better to get your point across with others that have a like minded thought. Because then it looks like it is baiting rather than adding any conversation or discussion.

I feel that my initial post was trying to be fair to all, but I take a lot back now.
 
First off tonight's episode sort of sucked in more ways than one but on to my beautiful David.

Dave Dave Dave....GET THE F---K AWAY FROM WHANDRA....she will bring you down into her pool of tears and drown you. Ugh this girl. I appreciate his loyalty to her but if he only knew. I don't think he was trying to be mean to Skye at all during that tiff at the stairwell, I think he was just interjecting his thought and did so in a very mature and respectful manner though I do hate that he's hanging around Ryan and Sandra....bleh. I think Skye is funny and all but yeah the act is starting to get old and I'm sort of glad she got called out on it. If anyone else was doing it, they would get called out on it as well. She sort of proved it when walking around the house saying "strategy, I'll show you strategy" which was all for the public to say "i'm innocent, i wasn't calculating" which why is that bad anyways. I like to see game players and she's doing one hell of a job but I digress.

Please vote for David my aussie Dave fans...with less air time and after tonight, he's gonna need it. I felt he did nothing wrong but the public most likely will (Skye's fans).
 
OK...finally watched it. IMO, Skye and Cryan were as bad as each other in this argument. Ryan was definitely baiting her...in his passive aggressive way. But she saw through it and called him out on it...which is fine...but then she can't cry "confusion" when she clearly knew what he is doing. And she can't play the victim...when she willingly took the bait and engaged in an argument. And although Hot-mess was being an annoying sook, as usual, Skye didn't help herself by trying to deflect the argument towards Hot-mess' tantrum. It just made her look like the immature one (along with the "eff you" and request to not speak to her)...especially when she was practically throwing a tantrum, herself, when they left and Cat wasn't buying her claims that they were laughing.

I am not saying that Cryan and Hot-mess aren't just as guilty of being hypocritical and immature. Before the fight, Hot-mess bitches and moans about Skye getting chocolate and her make-up back...when she was the one who chose coffee over Skye's make-up...without any flack from Skye for it. Skye was actually much more mature about that then Hot-mess is being about this. Also, Hot-mess proclaiming that she will not speak to her again was just as immature as Syke requesting it.

Of course Cryan starts this with passive-agressive barbs...just like with Travis...and then acts all innocent and confused when he gets called out on it. Skye is right, he IS condescending. Then he gets really mean and nasty, after he is alone with his cohorts...and then he falsely acts reasonable and claims to be shy and misunderstood to their faces later...which is even more fake than what he views as "the bubbly people always being happy". (I though that statement was funny...considering he is the exact opposite of it...mean and bitchy always miserable.)

So basically, they are both starting shit with each other and then acting confused as to why they are both starting shit. Both are equally to blame...while Hot-mess stands there in her self-loathing, unable to exist without her precious Sam.

Now, as far as David is concerned...he doesn't really have anything to do with the argument...except maybe giving, what he thinks is his friend, some support...who was just accused by Skye for being a miserable sook. Although Skye is right, bringing it up as a distraction tactic when in the hot seat, wasn't right. He left with Cryan and Hot-mess because, unfortunately, he is loyal to her and felt she was attacked. I think his comment about being civil was just David being the reasonable peace-maker that he is...trying to diffuse the situation before things were said that would be regretted.

I am not sure why people are saying he took sides...he was just being David. And as far as sides goes, how is Syke getting off the hook...because if David and Skye were supposed to be on the same one...she betrayed that when she nominated him. Especially since afterwards...and before the dinner and fight...she seemed to be only concerned about Cat, Aisha, Jason and Priya knowing she had their backs. His comment at dinner was a joke...but if anyone has the right to that opinion and to say it...it's him. He is up because of her strategy...and if she is pissed about it...maybe it's from the guilt of knowing it is true.

Ugh...one thing is for sure, Sandra has got to go! She is only bringing him down...my new nickname for her is Albatross. Hopefully between the fight Cryan had with Travis...and now Skye...and how vicious his words were about both after, he will be following Albatross out the door. Then Slayvid can get back to slaying...

Now that I have ranted, back to Slayvid lovin'. I thought his letter home was the MOST REAL. You can tell he wrote it for his loved ones...not the viewing audience...which seemed to be what most of the others were doing. That alone is why the public should save him...what you see is what you get with him. He isn't trying to do or say what he thinks will win him favor with the housemates...or the public.

Jason's letter, for example...bugged me. The waterworks and plea to be accepted will win a lot of sympathy votes. But, if he isn't close with them because he is gay...then why is he sending a letter to them? Why waste a chance to send a message to his partner...the one person who does support him...just to send a plea for understanding (and to share a family dinner with said partner) to the family that doesn't support him? It just seemed contrived to gain sympathy. It seems unlikely that this would be the time or place to have that conversation...especially a one-sided one. Also, the rumors that his brother had posts deleted on BB's FB...claiming that Jason's family does support him being gay...contributes to my suspicions.

Normally, I would say hey...if that's your strategy...more power to you. But, if it somehow sends David home this week...I'm going to be pissed.

I agree with almost everything you said except the comment at dinner was more than a joke. He was too proud of saying it when he was talking about it later. He needs to get away from Sandra. He seems like the geek trying to get a popular girl's attention by being "cool" and he is so much more than that.
 
Ok well past my bedtime so not read all the posts (man you guys love to post!) but here is my take on it all!

1 - I don't see how anything David did tonight was targeting Skye in a bad way. He mentioned strategy Skye, so what he has had to put up with strategy Dave for weeks now and have you seen him throw a tanty over it or seen his fans accuse the other HMs of bullying over it!?? No! So why the hell can David not jokingly give Skye the title? Hell it's gotta be better than blonde bimbo right?
2 - in his conversation with Skye he never attacked her, he simply pointed out that what she was saying was immature and if she didn't want ppl thinking and calling her immature then maybe stop acting like it. Hell David only asked her to be civil to ppl, again David has gone weeks in the house with ppl not being civil to him and yes we have that 1 incident where Skye spoke to him, that doesn't make them best buddies esp when she clearly considers Aisha's friendship more than davids.
3 - yes we saw David walk into the room with Sandra and Ryan, he was last to go in and it was clear that the issue was between Skye v Ryan/Sandra and Skye already had a support system around her so David went in to be the support system for Ryan/Sandra. With all the editing how do we not know that layer David went and spoke to Skye? We don't and we wil never know but sod it, David is a smart cookie and he knows what he is doing. Ever heard the saying keep your friends close but your enemies closer?
4 - why is no one attacking priya for her nasty trick on Skye? Talk about hitting a girl when she is down! He is Skye feeling all upset and priya decides to throw her a curve ball by making her doubt her friendship with Leo!
5 - ppl are claiming Skye had no choice but to vote for David to save Aisha. Did she not see there was someone below Aisha? Would have been easier to have used 1 point to reveal them and then give the rest of the points to them.
6 - (man I am getting very tired now and need my bed!) Vote to save David!!!!!!!! Hopefully 3 days off BB will make ppl forget about the others and they will forget to vote but if we all keep voting then David will be saved. Did you not hear in his letter that hearing his name as most saved was amazing. Let's make sure he hears it again cause I am sure hearing thst gave Dave a massive boost when he was not feeling any love in the house.
 
Btw totally agree with moon3k about the letters. Most seemed to be about getting points with the viewers, esp Jason, cat and Lawson but David's was genuine and typical Dave. Showed he is also interested in what is going on in the outside world and not just the drama in the bb bubble.

Was a nice shout out and my girls enjoyed hearing their uncle saying his nieces!

Ok def going to bed now.
 
Sorry one last thing, I am not just defending David cause he is my bro, I agree with things ppl have written and there are things I would love to write about Ryan and Sandra but just too tired. I just wanted to throw a few things up that I had noticed about David where ppl seem to be targeting a particular thing (there's seems to be a lot of claims David has back stabbed Skye but like ppl on here have pointed out she back stabbed him by throwing him under the eviction bus) and I just want to point things out so ppl get a better perspective.
In all honesty I am truly struggling to see how anything David did in that episode was bullying Skye or being nasty to her so I am not sure where all this hate for David has come from. I will just be totally pissed if David gets evicted before clawson cause as far as I am concerned those two need evicting pronto!

If he weren't up for eviction this week, let alone in a double with Jason and Priya, I still wouldn't like him hanging out with Ryan and Sandra as personally I think he's far too good for them both. But it wouldn't matter. Some of the HMs who went the farthest last year including Tim and Jade had friends in both groups and were able to usually successfully navigate it and use it to their advantage at times. But we're talking specifically about tonight and the take away from this episode is the people in the gym bitching about Skye? David, Ryan, Sandra. The people by the stairs bitching to Skye? David, Ryan, Sandra. The people in that other room after they left the stairs, bitching about Skye? David, Ryan, Sandra. Ignoring everything else about loyalty, being able to choose who he hangs out with, etc... as a fan who wants him to survive an extremely tough double eviction next week, tonight was not ideal.

I don't adore David any less from what I saw tonight. Not at all. However as someone who wants him to survive next week, after watching tonight's episode I'm worried more. That's the only place I'm coming from.

Oh no, I wasn't referring to your comments, or anyone in the DS thread really (I have trouble keeping up with what's said there anyway lol). It was more the comments I've seen in here...people getting the shits with him for "aligning" himself with the other group.

I absolutely, 100% understand your point that it doesn't look good for him to the audience him hanging around with Sandra and Ryan, however I'm not really sure what people expect him to do? We only see a highly edited version of their day...what's he going to do? Not speak to them at all in fear of the editing team choosing to air a conversation with them he was present for? Yep, the conversations they aired with the three of them were bitchy, and it won't look good for David him being there...however in reality he barely said a word in either exchange. In fact it was pretty much Ryan and Sandra going off on their usual bitches and David sitting their like furniture. He managed to pipe in once, and all he said was that now they know that Skye isn't the blonde bimbo she sells herself as...in fact I'd consider that more a compliment than a bitchy comment myself.

We know he's wanting to support Sandra. That was incredibly obvious last night. He said he felt helpless not being able to do anything for her and kept asking people where she was. I'm pretty sure Sam also asked him to look after her when he left and David doesn't seem like the type to me who would not look after a friend that needed support. For me it wasn't David choosing their "side" but more David choosing to spend time with his friend who needed support (and of course Ryan was there as well because he said himself that he prefers spending time with Sandra). If you look at the exchange in front of the stairs...it's Sandra that David walks right up to and links arms with. It's not like he went and stood right behind Ryan and was firing shots at Skye. In fact the only thing he said was that they all needed to be civil.

I guess I'm just struggling to see why he's getting so much crap for spending time with people from the "cool" group when in reality he is no doubt just trying to be a good supportive friend to his emotionally unstable former partner.

Either way if David survives next week I'm pretty certain Sandra will both gone so if people are having concerns then it won't be there much longer. Either David will be gone (hope not!) or the only person in there he thinks is his friend will be. I'm not sure how I feel about that to be honest. On one hands it'll probably be good for his game being completely on the outer but on the other I hate seeing people isolated.
