Betting Odds 2014

Yep.

And if you're into betting, I'd say get in a bet for Travis before the odds start to shift. He's got a good chance of going.

Cat seems to be getting a lot of love and sympathy over on Facebook, so I feel like she has a good chance of surviving and Priya is a dark horse. Everybody needs to get in and SAVE her though, because once again it's hard to predict and I imagine the votes will be close. Losing Priya this early is pretty much a death sentence for this series. At least after Monday's eviction, she'll hopefully be safe and we'll have time to regroup and continue saving her for the Tuesday eviction.

I'm actually thinking there's a good chance we could lose both boys this week. A shame if so, because I quite like Dion, but there's no way I would waste a vote on him now that it's a double. PRISUS IS THE ENDGAME. VOTE TO SAVE PRIYA.

I haven't warmed to Jason. He isn't forming a narrative that I think is necessary to make it to the end and win. Jason's not bringing us on his personal journey. I know nothing about him besides that he's gay. He's not funny, he's not relatable, he's not part of any drama. I can see that by the end of the show, his contribution to Big Brother is minimal. Our winner needs to be someone who made the show worth watching.

And Jake is?

I think Jason is awesome. I personally find him funny and, not to mention, he's got Priya's maturity. He's also real.

Jake doesn't seem too genuine. At parts he seems like a poor man's Tim. When he came in the house I expected another Tim slash Bradley - He seemed overly excited, confident. But what happened to him after he met all the housemates? He 'watered' down that personality and became that quiet emotional person. Odd change in him...

I think Jake definitely is getting the narrative and bias from Big Brother. His journey right now is that he was paired with the most disliked housemate Gemma... then survived the first eviction with support of most of his housemates... The focus on his struggles and $5000 win. Video of him gushing about Gemma on the eviction night... He is generally well liked and been described as inclusive and kind. This could turn into a winner's journey.

I could make similar projections for Priya and David. Lawson and Skye too. They potentially have the material to become the winner!

Jason is just a poor man's Ben (2013)

I think Jason is more like Ben '13! They perform a lot of jokes and on-the-surface stuff for the camera...

There's been a few moments that I've found Jake a lot deeper than that.

Considering they have thrown in a surprise eviction last minute are those odds for just the first one or the now earlier one? so many ways the betting companies can dispute it, its a joke this year.

@pawlini the odds up at the moment are for the second housemate to get evicted, so im assuming its the Monday? night eviction
@Zapp these minimums are ridiculous, $1.40 is crazy talk. I'm actually stoked with my $7 being allowed on. Spoke to another bookie who initially weren't going to be doing eviction markets as it was a market they were constantly paying out on last year, but that might change.

Also in the eviction market, Katies odds once again have come down. 6,5 and now $4
In the individual market Skye is drifting like no tomorrow. Within a space of a few days she's gone from favourite at $4, all the way out to 4th pick at $8.50.

I noticed this too! And I don't put that down to him being excitable just because it was the first night either. When they have tasks or a party, for example, he doesn't react in that same juvenile way he did on night one. He must have heeded Tim's coaching advice, thinking the audience wants Tim 2.0, and now he has changed quite dramatically from that. Meh, either way, I don't like either personalities of his, whichever is the real one. He is definitely a poor man's wannabe Tim. And why does the show need a Tim 2.0? Can't understand how he got through this year, if all he was going to do was immitate Tim. :/

@RealityRaver2 Tim had said that when Jake entered the house the first night even he was surprised as that wasn't Jake's natural personality at all and looked to be more of a mimic of Tim's. I *think* what we're seeing now is more the real Jake.

When did he say that? I would love to read it.
Again, a bit of a conflict of interest and specific advantage for Jake that we are getting immediate feedback about one specific housemate via a quasi-celebrity that people will listen to. Not saying it is Jake's fault, but the show has really sold out its integrity on this one.

He said it in an interview. I think it was the podcast with Mike before he went into the house that night but it could've been in his video update that he uploaded to YouTube. We were chatting about it on here at the time because it confirmed what many of us were thinking re Jake trying to act very Tim like that first night.

Should I put some money of Priya winning?!?! It would be a jackpot. But then, it's really early to tell who'll win. So torn.
