Favourite & Least Fave HM's From Past and Present

giphy.gif

For the time being is the key phrase there LOL.
Ah! I love Britney :inlove:

I think a large part of why Jade garnered a huge amount of support from (mostly females of all ages, which is kinda sad) voters was that they could relate to what she was going through in the house with Ed and sympathized with her 'ordeal', hence why they kept on voting on her

See, this is what I don't understand. Why you feel the need to put other fans of a bloody reality show down so frequently and make veiled stabs and snap judgements about them just because they liked a HM. In my case at least you couldn't be more wrong.

By 'kinda sad' I mean that they're IN MY HUMBLE OPINION voting for housemates for the wrong reasons. Like Gretel use to say vote for the housemates that make you wanna tune in and watch (even if they're arseholes once in a while, Tully and Ben 12 don't fit that description though) and not those you think you'd be best friends forever in real life or something along those lines.

I did not mean that in a different derogatory context you seem to presume. Be honest now, would you tune in to watch a BB house of 20 Jades? Seriously?

Whatever mate. If you were any more transparent I doubt anyone could see you.

I'd bet that 99% of the people who voted for Jade on a regular basis (not that she was up often) were female, of that I'm definitely not wrong. What other subtext you think I'm implying, I have no idea. Both men and women have experienced rejection at some point in their lives but I think it's fair to say that Jade's unrequited love predicament in the show probably elicited more empathy from female viewers than it would have from male viewers. That is all I'm saying, you wanna read more into those comment then that's your issue not mine.

I'm guessing that that is a mistake and you meant to write. I sincerely hope that there's not another female put in the house who behaves remotely similar. That is not what Big Brother.....

I have a feeling that because Jade was popular (I mean come on she came 2nd) that the powers that be will be casting another female similar to her this year, in hoping that this new female will get lots of passionate fans that will waste their money on voting to save her.

I agree with the theory but I have never seen a Tim Brunero again, despite his popularity. They tried the former AFL player thing again but Ed did not have Fitzy's charm, personality or humour.

No no no... I am not getting in another sports talk. No! I'm surrounded by husband and friends and work colleagues and the rest who speak of sports. I'm ending it here. Haha, can you tell it's sports madness on my end? Lol. Prufrock lives and breathes English, it's her thing too. But she is easy going about casual posting... Unless she disagrees with you lol

I imagine that will only increase. Especially since your husbands man Lebron moved back to the Cav's. Sorry.

I am not much of grammar Nazi (although liking Jade tests that theory).
I'd forgotten you were a Jade fan SES. Presuming you're a guy (apologies if you're not), what was it about Jade's time in the house that you derived enjoyment out of? As I've stated many times before, for mine she only served as nuisance value but I'm genuinely intrigued what a male fan saw in her to consider himself a fan.

You didn't know? Why do I find that hard to believe? lol Since LBJ's early yesterday morning, heat fans have been crestfallen and lashing out at LeQuit.
The hubby was sick and slept for most of the day. Leaving me to look after the two sick kids in the house. So there wasn't a whole lotta talking other than about how he was feeling and so on. I'm sure I will be caught up soon enough ;) fun times ahead

You know for someone that trolled the JA thread so regularly I'm surprised you weren't able to work out that a fair portion of the regular posters were male. Most of the people that comment on her tweets (I.e. actual tweets not just revealing Instagram shots) are male too.

So yeah, sorry to put a hole in your theory that only sad women who relate to Jade's situation with Ed could possibly see any redeeming qualities in her.

Guess you can't put everyone into a box eh?

Speaking for myself, I'll also admit that I have often being guilty of getting behind female hms based on their physical appearance in the past. Doesn't mean that I ever voted to keep any of them or that I agreed with how they acted and everything they said in the house. I knew they were far from perfect and understood why others did not embrace them.

And I wasn't trying to imply only females who are 'pathetic' (in what sense they're pathetic, I have no idea) rallied behind Jade, I already described what I meant by sad previously. What I mean was that her large voting block came from women who IMO 'foolishly' (hence the word sad) empathized with her SELF INFLICTED romantic plight whilst in the house. Jade might not have done it on purpose (for mine the jury is out on that one, she can be quite cunning when the occassion demands it) but that is the effect that it had.

This was somewhat akin to what Estelle went through the year prior garnering strong support for the bullying she was subjected by Ben and his vile minions. Only that I personally did not believe Jade was a victim in this instance but many women (with misplaced empathy IMO) apparently did.

That is all.

Pretty much why I went for Estelle. I wanted her to reign over her tormentors. But I did find her likeable in the house and I did like her eccentricity as well I suppose. But yes, the fact she was the outcast due to the continuous and deliberate attempts of other hms to bring her down, made me want to champion her to the winning line.

Words words words, lots of fucking words. Angry words! Bitchy words. Palabras. More words than Saxo ever thought they'd get. spɹoʍ. Words questioning the human existence. Words I haven't read. Wordy words worded together. Words? Words! ⓦⓞⓡⓓⓢ. Words of agreement. Words of dissent. The use of so many words that they are now extinct.
