Favourite & Least Fave HM's From Past and Present

@Inigo Montoya, I only remember so much about it because it was/ has been discussed to death prior to this. I think the drade "breakup" was the one of the biggest upsets for so many and even now it is being discussed. I even admit, it sucked at the time. That's why I remember it all so well.

Yep same. The only reason I remember so much is because it's all been discussed to death here. If I hadn't hung around here I wouldn't remember anything about it now. Hence why I can't comment on the previous series in this thread. I know I watched most of them but because I never discussed or read about them after they finished I can't for the life of me remember much about them.

Showmances don't interest me at all. I do remember having to skip over a lot of posts in the "Post BB....." thread that mention anything to do with Jade/Drade/Tully&Drew.

A lot of it had to do with the incessant bias of Jade fans who insisted on painting her as the 'innocent' victim in every situation she 'clashed' with another housemate. As you might guess that pissed me right off to no end and it's probably why I recall more than I normally would about this boring self -absorbed non-entity whilst in the house. Had it not being for over zealous ridiculous biased fan I'd forgotten she even existed by now.

First impressions are always the most memorable. My opinion of Jade was formed very early on and it's what I recall most vividly from her time in the house. Don't remember much of her from mid-way onwards as I couldn't stand her being in the house anymore, couldn't wait for her to be kicked out which I never got the satisfaction of seeing.

Funnily enough I wasn't a fan of Jade at the start either. It had nothing to do with her flirting with Drew (let be realistic here, the entire basis of their relationship was being touchy feely and flirty because of the task - it's hard to go back and suddenly change the way you interact with someone) - but I was one of those saps that got pulled into the whole Drade thing and when it didn't happen I blamed Jade and turned off her quite quickly. I also think in a way I judged her for her looks and I had a preconceived idea about who her character was based on what she looked like and the fact she was a model.

The more we saw of her character though the more I liked her and the more I realised she was the complete opposite of my preconceived idea of who she was. Also the further Drew went with the Drully stuff the more I went from thinking Jade was batshit crazy for not going for him to realising she may have actually worked him out right away and made a smart decision by not going there. When she said she kept her distance because he reminded her of her ex (an ex we know cheated on her) it all kinda fell into place for me because Drew himself said that his "schmoozing" had gotten him in trouble with his past girlfriends, and it became apparent from his thing with Tully that he had little respect for other people's relationships either.

From a previous Drade fan's perspective it was disappointing seeing Drew buy into whatever crap Tully was sprouting to him about Jade, but the more he did the more respect I gained for Jade realising she'd made the right decision there. Drew is obviously beautiful but I admire her for seeing past that and realising that he could have been bad news for her and not going there (and it would have been bad news for her because IMO Drully would have happened regardless of whether he and Jade had become a genuine thing anyway).

It's a good thing we don't remember for some of the bb series I think ;)

Its easier to remember considering I have only seen 3 series (04, 05, 13)

Pretty sure you mean Michelle in 05. She had her own problems when it came to flirting with male house mates and copped it for it. Although if I had to guess, the dislike would be more about the bitchy, complaining, self entitled behaviour.
Is that the chick with thin high eye brows and the fake boobs? She had a thing for Glenn?

I remember the boobs more than the eyebrows. More of a thing "with" Glenn than a thing ""for" Glenn. They hooked up, as friends, then she got pissed when she saw him saying he would try and hook up with Kate (Michelle's best friend in the house) as well.

I won't go into it fully out of respect for Jade fans but if I tuned into a reality show because I wanted to watch housemates who have 'wholesome' personalities (like Jade fanghels purport she is this 'pious' lovely girl who also has the sun shining out of her arse ) I think I'd rather get that fix from watching religious programs on Sunday mornings.

The point being that she didn't bring a hell of a lot to the table entertainment-wise other than embarrassing herself by pining for guys who were not interested in her or available and making half the daily shows be about her unrequited quest for love a la 'The Bachelor'. I found very frustrating that she lasted that long and I sincerely hope that there's NOT another female put in the house who behaves remotely similar. That is not what Big Brother is to me and many other loyal fans of the show.

Your my new Prufrock while she is away

I don't get the reference but I think Prufrock told me off for ripping on the Rabbitoh's. But come on, even the New York Knicks and the Richmond Tigers have a won something more recently than them. That is a joke on par with Russell Crowe's music.

I'm guessing that that is a mistake and you meant to write. I sincerely hope that there's not another female put in the house who behaves remotely similar. That is not what Big Brother.....

I have a feeling that because Jade was popular (I mean come on she came 2nd) that the powers that be will be casting another female similar to her this year, in hoping that this new female will get lots of passionate fans that will waste their money on voting to save her.

No no no... I am not getting in another sports talk. No! I'm surrounded by husband and friends and work colleagues and the rest who speak of sports. I'm ending it here. Haha, can you tell it's sports madness on my end? Lol. Prufrock lives and breathes English, it's her thing too. But she is easy going about casual posting... Unless she disagrees with you lol

To each their own. I personally didn't like Tahan much by the end (she was one of my favourites at the start) but I can acknowledge that some people must have found her entertaining if she made it that far. Different strokes for different folks.

And LOL I think you're the first person I've ever heard refer to Jade's personality as being "wholesome". If that's what I went for in HMs my faves would have been Ben and the SS.

I think a large part of why Jade garnered a huge amount of support from (mostly females of all ages, which is kinda sad) voters was that they could relate to what she was going through in the house with Ed and sympathized with her 'ordeal', hence why they kept on voting on her.

You take that 'ordeal' away from her I am quietly confident that she would have not lasted as long as she did. Honestly I just don't remember any convo that involved Jade that had me thinking I wanna hear or know more about this woman; to me ( and many others) she simply wasn't that interesting.

Anyhooo that's the last thing I'll say about Jade for the time being.

For the time being is the key phrase there LOL.
