To be honest, I can't really criticise Tim (and I'm on record as not being a great admirer). Charities have benefited from his largesse, and I'm fairly sure they won't be quibbling. On a personal note, my mother has Alzheimers…so I'm not too concerned whether Tim's gesture was appropriately humble or not. That said, I have utterly no problem with people not participating or keeping the money if that's what they want to do. Tim certainly knows how to get people talking :)

I specifically only mentioned HMs who took the money for themselves. Not ones who didn't participate or who took the money to give to their friend's fundraising efforts for another charity etc.

I think it's better not to make assumptions.

I agree. I also think it's better to read what someone wrote and make sure you understand the words they typed before writing a reply :p

Sorry, I'm not having a go at you it's just a little exasperating having to deal with some of the opinions about this- hahaha :D

So there's a list of HM's who took the money for themselves?

This is a very good point. Take someone like Boog for example. I'd bet anything that she's just ignored it because given their relationship she wouldn't want to participate in a game or accept any sort of handout from Tim even if it were for a charity (I thought Ed would be the same tbh and was surprised when he wasn't). However now she's automatically been painted with the "naughty" brush which implies she kept it for herself when she might not even have responded to it.
 
Honestly, the Twits throwing hate at Tahan or any HM for apparently not being charitable enough should learn the meaning of the word first. Unbelievable.

Oh I see what you're insinuating haha. I guess technically there might not exist an actual list (other than Tim's bank statements), but there are greater than zero HMs who took the money for themselves.

I have to admit, I don't know the ways of eating a taco. I try and chow them down quite quickly whilst it breaks before me, but I still love them. I love nachos the best. It gets sloppy, but is love the flavours in one big mess mmmm

Could very well be that they just aren't paying attention to what Tim says on his twitter/Facebook/YouTube and he nor anyone else is informing them of it, and so haven't chosen it for themselves or charity.

Pathetic isn't it? Amongst other possible explanations is the fact that in most Aboriginal communities it is incumbent on family members to look after their own first. And after all, 'Charity begins at home' :)
Looking at Tim's Twitter it seems he's fairly aghast at the responses she's been getting.

I agree that's quite likely. I'm just confused at the fact that apparently we can just assume who's been 'naughty'. As always I'm looking for proof. Not that I think anyone has been naughty by the way.
 
Seems like there is way more to the Tim charity thing than I first thought. Maybe I ought to read back because I feel as If I've missed something. :confused:

Oh you want names and addresses? Sure why not...

Nah. But if you read my posts you would see at least one HM chose to take the money to pay her rent. Good on her I say, even if personally I would not take money away from a charity I won't hate on someone for doing what they want with cash offered to them.

Just to make it clear, she is not alone in taking the money for themselves and people can do whatever they want with money they have available to them.

Jasmine has seemingly chosen to take the money and has had to defend herself on Twitter throughout the day due to accusations from posters of her being seen in pics out and about etc so why can't she afford to donate the money. Totally humiliating....no sign of Tim defending her.
 
Personally if I was a celebrity, whether D grade or A grade I would 100% donate the money. I think it's very selfish of them not to donate but at the same time wrong of Tim to make it public.

This is exactly what I was afraid of happening. Tim has essentially set up this scenario where he's given the HMs a choice however the way he's set it up it encourages criticism and hate to be thrown at the HMs who don't donate (or don't donate much in Tahan's case).

I don't even know if Tim was intentionally trying for this outcome to be honest, but I think a lot of us could see it was going to happen. Again I respect the hell out his gesture, but I'm still not sure if this was the best way to go about it.
