Episode DAY 23 (Tue 20/08/13) - Nominations #3 (90m)

Friends

I thought Caleb would nom Tahan
...

Tahan is cool with the Guys.. & they understand her but the Girls they r just knobs ESP jade n her minions aka the sugar sister.. Probably Becos tahan doesn't know how to interact well with girls.. Understandable!!

I was intrigued by Caleb's reason for nominating Jade - feeling she was holding back and wanting to get to know her better. I think he's the only guy that I've heard mention her personality and that there is more to her (all others guys, including Drew, mention her being hot etc). I definitely think there is more beneath the surface - and the fact that she got involved in defending the sisters in their hair fight with Tahan shows that she not just a vapid, self-obsessed clothes horse - particularly given her nomination reasons last week and this week. They are considered and articulate. Caleb doesn't look like an accountant (did an accounting degree and worked in that field for a while) and comes across as a gentle, but dim, bogan giant. I wonder if the fact that there is way more to him than how he appears physically gives him a greater appreciation of looking beyond looks and stereotypes in others.

I think Caleb has way more potential to add interest to this game than Matt or Ed

Is there something i'm missing or did tully not understand the superpower up at all? She doesn't get along with tim at all and could have put him up for nomination and saved matt? she kept saying there was no way she could save matt .....

unless she figures that tim is popular to the public? either that or she is idiotic..

you are missing something. if you do the maths, and if you watched the show, you would realise that it was very unlikely that matt could have been saved.
think twice before you jump in and call somebody idiotic.

So what was that about there needing to be exactly 6 housemates up for nomination each week?

Someone said the maximum was due to OH&S in the limited HWH space.

As Katie & Lucy are two people, that's technically 7 people.

She could have saved him, but she stuffed up at the start be giving 1 point each to Jade & Mikkayla. (she only had 3 HM's to give points & in one hit she used up 2 of them.

I wondered that too

I just watched the show ani I am pretty sure BB said she could allocate the points however she liked. She just had three opportunities to do so, each time w 2 pts

Tully would have heard the crowd reaction to Matt last evening so her hope to save Matt may have been seen as okay considering others in the nom list. She also wanted to save Jasmin too but she had too many points. I think she was got confused and realized she stuffed up on her first lot of points and figured she couldn't save Matt anyway.
It would have been interesting for Ed to be up. She seemed surprised they were nominating him and figured it was strategy. I'm not sure if she thought everything through and was given the hurry up by BB to nominate and therefore went with her safe option to vote for Mikki
As Mike Goldman said in showdown Tully aligns herself with the strongest players so giving either Ed or Tim votes would not have been in her thought process

But if the maximum limit of 6 was based around OH&S issues as suggested by someone on here then this doesn't apply - they're still two physical people.

I figure with the wall coming down it was thought to not matter anyway

I liked Estelle I thought she was misunderstood and she never (or rarely) said anything bad about anyone else in the house:

Tully on the other hand has a full time job, bitching and moaning and sulking and generally being annoying:

I guess she gets support from like minded people:

Why are people supporting a person with such a bad attitude????? CRAZY!!!!!

If she actually wanted to save Matt she would have given those last two to Tim or Ed, therefore giving Mikkayla the chance to choose between Matt/Katie & Lucy to go into the halfwayhouse.

Cleaaaaaarly she wanted it to seem that she wanted to save Matt to save face with the public, but was actually happy with him being up.

No I think she stuffed up big time. And didn't fully understand the superpower.

Mikkayla gets on my nerves every time she's on screen. Get her out of there please. Do not save her this week.

I think she's just bad at maths. She thought she did nothing to save Jas and Matt earlier when in reality it put them at level in sixth, which she should have been able to work out herself before allocating the points.
