In The News

Oh good for you!

I have never understood the vitriolic slander which follows Julia where ever she goes. She appears to be the most hated woman in politics and I believe the attacks on her are usually grossly unfair and border on some sort of harassment.

It is just sad we seem to have a culture which takes joy and great pleasure in measuring people by a handful of their worst moments rather than by a truckload of their best.

I respect Julia Gillard and I admire the way she had conducted herself throughout her difficult term and I feel proud to have her represent Team Ladygarden as our first female PM. In my opinion she is a perfect role model for our little girls. Despite the constant attacks, which go way beyond politics, she has conducted herself with strength, dignity and grace and I will, without hesitation, be voting for the next election.

While this has nothing to do with her competency as a PM, her Dad was a Psych Nurse at my work, I did a few night shifts with him just before he retired, he was a lovely man who was very proud of his daughter.

People make such sweeping assumptions about political beliefs based on nothing - only Derspatz posts his personal election campaign.

I totally agree.

Nothing worse than a dribbling fucking idiot making sweeping assumptions about political beliefs based on nothing.

In fact I have a perfect example of one right here.

Exhibit A
Mrs (mousey) Howard would be their ideal, Liberals all have dull doormat partners.

In such contrast with Labor lovers, Labor ladies are feisty, talented and smart - and not afraid to leave.

And as far as your closing comment.

You know that moment when you watch the TV person flip from tolerating and questioning to, dismissive- just go your a waste of time, a moron, and how you can have that same sensation on forums.

Seriously kxk, what does this even say?

It is like trying to communicate with Skippy the bush kangaroo

I didn't realise her dad was a nurse.

I think that is one of the things I really admire about Julia. She is not "old money" she is a working class ranga, who like the majority of us has been blessed/cursed with ordinary looks and an ordinary body. She is not a star, she is not a beauty queen, she is just an ordinary Australian. She obviously had a thirst for knowledge and a passion for her work and through that determination she has risen up to be our first ever female PM.

If that is not an inspirational story I don't know what is, then throw in the hatred and slander which has dogged her 24/7, unfairly in my opinion, through out her term and with each attack she has responded with determination and class has only added to my admiration for this woman.

As for this comment

And you have no idea how sad it is for females to finally get a female leader and have her disappoint so, and I am heartily disappointed in her leadership and politics - not of course like you, rather that she isn't more like the rants you go on about, Aussie politics is deeply depressing right now.

I disagree heartily with kxk (not surprisingly) I believe Julia Gillard is the perfect role model for our girl children. I think she proves that with hard work and determination you will succeed and she has demonstrated failure comes not when we fall down, it comes when we fail to get up. I love the fact Julia just keeps getting up.

I know she won't win, and it would appear the majority agree with kxk sentiments and that saddens me deeply.

Julia has proved that ordinary Australians can do extraordinary things.

But we have such an "unbiased" cough........... media in this country. They're heavily slanted towards the Liberals ......... Is it any wonder the current PM might lose with the constant media attacks.

Julia has proved that ordinary Australians can do extraordinary things.

Nay, she just proved that ordinary Australians can turn out to be extraordinarily evil if not plainly inept. :D

I'm sure our Lord and Creator was once proud of lucifer too and I'm sure most would agree that there are none so blind or in denial than when it comes to a parent and their own offspring.

As for your "lovely man", well we're back to your subjective morality again and what you choose to use as a measure of what is a "sick belief" or not.

In short, why should we believe you ? :D

A fat unhealthy middle aged man is at much bigger risk of losing his income than a 22 year old healthy eliza working full time in a secure government job regardless of her child rearing ability but not in a million years would the bank manager have declined fatty a loan. Your argument makes no sense whatsoever.

There was a fat unhealthy middle aged man there trying to get a loan ? And he got it and you didn't ?

ooooooh, I see, you decided to opt for a bit of "look over there, a unicorn" while you dug into your cardigan pockets to grope for your well worn I don't understand, I'm just a girl flash card. Not that anyone should think it strange that you only seem to have trouble understanding the writings of people whose beliefs you deem to be sick, yes ? :D

Anyhoo, awwwww pooor little young eliza tucked away in her "secure government" job ... what a victim she once was ... but isn't it great that she finally managed to leave that kind of mindset behind and stand and succeed on her own merits despite all those fat unhealthy middle aged men trying to keep her back and all that ...

Yes, isn't it great that you've managed to stop thinking and judging in terms of gender.

Who knows, perhaps one day you might even come to realise and accept that the reall you and the real me is without gender and that we are merely "driving" gendered flesh for the time that is our natural born life.

Do you think you are likely to ?

If not, why not ?

Go check out some armour I posted in the - made me laugh thread, and it's still for sale on ebay.

But what the fuck are you on about?

Unless your a sex change you have no clue what women live.

And your as clear as mud, cut and pasting a shit pile of dogma isn't communicating.

Not sure what the bit about unicorns and cardigans is about but I do like a nice cosy cardy for sure.

The reason I managed to leave behind the fact that a misogynistic bank manager declined to lend me money is because of the introduction of anti-discrimination laws meaning I was able to apply for and be granted a loan based on my ability to repay at the time of the loan application not on my gender. (etc)

And the gendered flesh bit is creepy weird.

Now the PM is being criticized by Fairfax columnist and industrial relations consultant Grace Collier for showing too much cleavage in parliament.

Fairfax ?

Wow, even the far left of the main stream media appear to be want to be rid of Gillard !

... or, as is more likely, the far left msm have decided to join in with the disgusting gender warfare Gillard has embarked upon and are trying to make figurative mountains out of mole-hills in the hope that the population can be further divided (if not lifted and separated :D) and the lost cause that is Gillard can "win" some sympathy votes.

In short, fairfax is putting "Operation Eye-Dee-ten-tees" into motion.

ButOfCourse they know that their side can't win, but perhaps, with their help, it won't lose as badly as it deserves to.

The reason I managed to leave behind the fact that a misogynistic bank manager ...

"sick beliefs", "misogynistic bank manager" ... but you can't be faulted, eh ? :D

What proof do you have that the bank manager was a misogynist as opposed to merely doing what was expected of him by historical precedent, the bank's shareholders, and his own personager and board, etc ?

For all you know, the bank may well have had to chase up debt on scores of young women around about your age who had all "left work to have a baby".

For all you know he could have been married to to lovely lass who he absolutely doted upon and perhaps who had even "left work to have a baby" around about the same age of you.

For all you know he could have been the father to a couple of daughters who he would gladly have given up his life to protect if the occasion called for it.

Ah, but because you were deemed by the bank to be too risky to give a loan to, the impertinent male who dared to deliver the verdict that denied you what you wanted, was therefore being "misogynistic" and thus a "misogynist" or some sort of "girlophobe"/"female hater".

If only the flesh you were assigned to had been born male, eh ?

And the gendered flesh bit is creepy weird.

Take it up with your Creator, for after all, He did let us know this: "Jesus said to them, "Is this not the reason you are mistaken, that you do not understand the Scriptures or the power of God? For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven." ... and then there is this "For you are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Christ Jesus."

Based upon that (and a lot more that I'm sure you wish to remain ignorant about but begins with a certain garden and a created being whose own flesh provided a counterpart) it seems plain that the division caused by gender is both planned and destined to come to an end.

It also seems plain that gendered flesh is basically for the procreation of yet more gendered flesh, and all of it to be temporary/restricted vehicles or avatars if you prefer for what and who we really are.

It also seems plain that procreation shall come to an end and with it, gendered flesh.

... and with the end of gendered flesh, I wonder what folk who prefer to embrace victimhood will next seek to cling to in order to maintain their desire to feel downtrodden and attract special attention and treatment and favour ?

Eye Colour ?

Anyhoo, as a matter of interest, why did you choose a female name as a userid for these forums and not some non gender specific monica as is the predominantly general custom for such online places ?

Is it because you wanted to first and formost always be thought of and considered as (most probably) a female rather than for what you typed ?

Ha! Hahahahaha! Oh my God! Can't you just imagine him? Trying to type quietly in the dead of the night, when normal people are sleeping, while surrounded by 15 glaring monitors, sound right down so he doesn't wake the dog or LSPAD or whatever he calls his mate, rotund stomach absolutely covered in Cheezel dust and cookie crumbs, medieval tin hat on, naked from the waist down, semi flaccid naked mole rat (google it for the mental image) in one hand, while he tries, but then fails to go all Fifty Shades of Ders..

Too funny, seriously!!!

Stick to the God talk brother, because when it comes to erotic fiction, you make about as much sense as Rev Fred Nile on a stripper pole.

Heh ... particularly @ your projection. Fortunately for me (and unlike you) I'm free to not only be and share myself in full living colour online but also can bang away as loud as I like while episodes of Enterprise blare out on the idiot box and LSCP does the well deserved and sated sleeping beauty thang on the couch next to me.

Yeah, I don't have to sneak in here when my life style choices partner isn't looking and pretend to be somebody I am not. Heck, I've even taken her to the BigBro House dontcha know ?

Get the leadership issue over and done with, Greens leader Christine Milne tells Labor

CHRISTINE Milne says Kevin Rudd's return as Labor leader could bolster the vote for the Left side of politics and help prevent a Tony Abbott-led government gaining control of the Senate.

The Greens leader also demanded Labor settle the leadership as soon as possible so the focus can return to policy.

“I wish they'd get on with it because I think the country would like to actually debate some issues leading into the election,” Senator Milne told Sky News' Australian Agenda program.

Julia Gillard's leadership is once again under threat as MPs return to Canberra for the final two weeks of sittings before the September 14 election.

Zombie PM ...

... how much longer before she is put out of our misery ?

From here and here, with the headline for the 2nd link being "Women attack PM on gender".

Gillard has an uncanny ability to divide Australians but unite her enemies:

GREENS leader Christine Milne and deputy Liberal leader Julie Bishop have warned against Julia Gillard’s revival of gender politics, calling it an unfair attempt to silence legitimate criticism of her government.

Key independent MP Andrew Wilkie described the Prime Minister’s elevation of abortion as an election issue as “scaremongering” and condemned her claim that female voices would be banished under a Tony Abbott-led government as “patent nonsense”.

UPDATE

Amanda Vanstone:

Quite why Julia Gillard constantly chooses to vacate the high ground to which her office so readily lends itself I cannot imagine. It is as if some type of demon is constantly drawing her downward to the scrappy place usually reserved for desperate leaders of the opposition.

The position of gravitas, the high ground, the prime ministerial perspective, is left vacant for Tony Abbott to occupy. The Prime Minister hands it to him on a plate. Uncontested.

How odd that you "bang away as loud as you like etc ectc.." while your LSCP (long suffering cute partner) is sleeping next to you. In my experience basic consideration for my mate naturally causes me to quieten down while my partner is sleeping or resting.

Moving right along, I absolutely have to sneak in here while my partner is not around. If he found out I was interacting with a Christian extremist bible spruiking ning nong like you on a daily basis he would lose all respect for me. Derspaz you are like my dirty secret.

Come on lad, since you're choosing to be a persona over a person then surely it should be easy enough for you to commit yourself to the "in for a penny, in for a pound" approach and not allow your actual religious and/or political beliefs get in the way of that, yes ?

"Acting 101" and all that ?

Back to Real Life News, the thin blue line continues to circle Julia Gillard:

The Legal Services Board of Victoria has confirmed that police are investigating Slater and Gordon lawyers over the AWU scandal.

(Julia Gillard insists she did nothing wrong as a Slater and Gordon lawyer in regard to the AWU scandal involving her then boyfriend.)

Michael Smith had complained to Board about the actions of lawyers at Slater and Gordon.

The Board told Smith it had commenced investigations, but now has told him those investigations have been put on ice.

The Legal Services Board of Victoria confirmed its investigation “falls within the scope of an ongoing investigation being conducted by Victoria Police” and to “avoid duplication of effort” and interference it would allow the police criminal enquiry to take precedence.
