Opinion on Sonia? (vs Gretel?)

Gretel was a one off I reckon - but the show wasn't making her spark any more and she is not going to be coming back.

After the last pair of hosts made the last BB unwatchable for me, I am really glad to have Sonia and see her being excited about the house. Hopefully she will become more confident on the live stage as she gets to do more of it. *crosses fingers*

I was shocked at how awful her outfit was on the second show (the military jacket and black shorts), but her legs still looked gorgeous and I doubt her wearing awful outfits will actually damage the show. It's kinda fun that she did.
 
I don't think the set helped Sonia at all - she seemed to be lost on this massive stage which felt really distant from the audience.
 
I am enjoying Sonja as much as I enjoyed Gretel. Sonja's mouth goes quicker than Gretels did....and she makes me laugh. Wonder if Sonja has the earpiece with BB giving orders we cannot hear.

I'm 99% sure that Sonja does have an earpiece - in episode 2 she commented in the first "live" cross that Estelle was taking charge of "peace making" and wondered if there was an argument going on, when the producer in her ear was actually telling her that Estelle was doing the "pizza making".
 
I loved Gretel and defended her for a long time - but then she turned into a housemate-hating freak.

The final straw for me was when she bagged the shit out of housemates for nothing but then described Ashley and Michael after their assault (turkey-slap) on Camilla as being 'fantastic housemates'.

You know Gretel didn't believe that, but she ran that line anyway - like the corporate lackey she became.

Good luck Sonia - try to keep the humanity going for as long as you can, coz the time will come when you turn your back on the audience and lie to us about what you think, just to protect the crew you work with. Won't be this year - but it will happen!!

I was a massive fan of Gretel in the beginning, but in the last couple of years (and I think it had to do with the type of housemates they started putting in from 4 onwards) she was constantly on the defensive and almost aggressive when she had interactions with them, she was a massive champion for the show and what it was about, but I dont think she agreed with the types who populated it after awhile, and I dont blame her, I didnt either.

Yes, that was pretty awkward. You see, if that had happened to Gretal she would have acknowledged mishearing BB in her ear with some wry comment and it wouldn't have been awkward at all.
 
Sonia looked great tonight, she has an awesome figure. And it was allround not a bad job
The stage/setting is rather offputting, I guess it will move along and we might see some of the audience eventually
 
I love her in this role, she is so warm and likeable and I agree with your opinion on her outfit tonight kxk, she looked great!
 
Watching her again tonight has confirmed with
Me that she is doing a great job. She is likeable and fun. I think they got this hosting gig right.
 
I think Gretel had become stale, as far as I'm concerned, a change is as good as a holiday and Sonia is doing a great job. As for her clothes, it's called fashion.:cool:
 
Sonia's definitely improved and is becoming more comfortable with the live hosting here. Still wish the big smile was a bit more natural but then she probably can't move most of her face.
 
She seemed much more at ease last night. I think she'll get better and better. She even made a joke about a flub she made. And she seems to have toned down that smile from the psych ward.
