It wasn't just channel 7 ......Channel 10 also did the very same kind of report as did 9...Then Karli Ryan's mother got on the band wagon and a policeman to say how bad the kids were and how much danger they were putting themselves in... Totally bad journalism

I get the TISM thing, and would have got it before you mentioned it. It's just not part my agenda with this post showing stupid people ..... 3 stupid people.

What I was discussing was who should be allowed to assist the courts and to carry out the sentences imposed by courts. A correctional facility should fit in there. I've already acknowledged that the word "justice" can be used in more than one way. That is a fact. My point was that my original use of the term wasn't unreasonable, even if it isn't the way you would have phrased it. By now, my meaning should be quite clear.

My current employment is not related to any of that in any way at all.

Bernie is far from dim, as are the three girls - if that is who you are referring to. The video has highlighted the stupidity and hypocrisy of many others, however, including mainstream media.

Yes. I can't believe how much noise this has generated on talkback and such....

Gee if only parents took some of the blame ya think. Putting computers in bedrooms and not in the lounge. Teaching a bit of common sense..... And of course teenagers don't ever talk about sex at school do they? :/
 
Guy I'm working with today's daughter is in year 11 at Mitcham Girls, on the bus home last night she had to tolerate a couple of negative and innapropriate comments from adult strangers. Fortuantly she is a sensible girl and just came home and chatted about it to her parents.

Yes I can understand she may have copped a bad comment or such. But everyone if making more of this video then it is worth.....

No one mentioned the teenage boys who beat up a taxi driver last night. Oh no this video story made the news and was far more important.

OMGoodness, you mean here, in Australia, in this day and age, a girl had to endure the trauma of negative comments, on a bus of all places? Thank the Lord she is blessed with parents at home she can talk to about this major event in her life, possibly more significant than puberty or even her own birth.

As a matter of interest, Eliza, do you iron your underpants?

Anyway back to the Mitcham story, the guys daughter texted him to say the media are still out in force at the school.

I think you might be close to the mark ichi, I drove past Channel Seven's Adelaide headquarters on the way home from work and the massive neon news ticker was all about the "school girl scandal". :rolleyes:
 
Oh wow, that will make such a huge difference to some people. It will be expensive - some sites are saying around $15,000 - but so worthwhile.
