Dole bludgers should have their benefits reduced so there are more funds available to support Sydney businesses and workers impacted by the lockdown.
Should be a 75% cut for people who want to continue being a dole bludger. If there are any dole bludgers who want to help with contract tracing then they should continue to be paid the same amount in benefits as they'll be helping us out of lockdown.
Please move this to the political thread. It's getting boring!Do you consider those receiving the disability pension dole bludgers?
The virus is about politics thoughPlease move this to the political thread. It's getting boring!
Isn't this what happened before, that a new thread was started to discuss everything virus without all the political angst which flooded it?The virus is about politics though

I agree that politics are involved, but, over kill!
Plus, I don't intend to have a disagreement with you Columbo, as I consider you a buddy![]()
I am going to try to be calm and trust the health professionals to do what they have to. I did some exercise and it was pretty quiet outside. No close contact with anyone. I'll stay sane this way. Maybe do some drunk video calls with friends later tonight.I trust NSW health. These stay at home orders are required, are measured and allow people to still live their lives. Hoping things go well over the next 7 days and we can look to an earlier easing, but will adapt to what is needed as it is announced.
My job is essential and can’t be done from home so I will continue to work.
I don't want to harshly generalise any group of people like that. I don't have any issue with benefits for people who cannot work or people who need some temporary financial assistance while they look for work. That's not what a dole bludger is.Do you consider those receiving the disability pension dole bludgers?

My issue is with people who can work but deliberately choose not to and take benefits but have no compassion for taxpayers who lose their jobs or businesses from the economic consequences of these lockdowns. These people are forgetting that the benefits they receive wouldn't be possible without taxpayers.
Boooo housewives tv show
Just trying to clarify, what do you mean by that?Anyway the economic affects of the two week lockdown will be much harsher now because of the arrogance of the NSW government.
