...do you want to know a sad fact?... I live only 3 kms from the 'James Tebbutt Observatory' and have never visited it?... it's always been one of those "I'll go and visit it one day" things on my 'to do' list and because it is so close I haven't done it yet... it was built in 1845... that'll change very soon methinks!... cheers.

When we were studying astronomy, that unfortunately coincided with my eyesight failing me
IE we were set all of these tasks, to see/find stuff up there, about age 13/14, when my myopia/astigmatism began
So, I thought I was too stupid to find things....it was very disheartening......later relieved to know it was my crap heritage/crap sight

...tomorrow I'm having a new lens put into my right eye due to Cataracts being hereditary in our family... both of my parents when they were alive and younger brother and sister just recently have had it done in the past and now it's my turn... I'm shitting razorblades to be truthful because I have a phobia about my eyes... not looking forward to it that's for sure... it involves a needle being stuck into my eye twice... it makes my blood curl just thinking about it... urgh!... cheers.

Oh Sticky, if it is any help, one of my besties has to have one of those eye injections every month or she will go blind
She seems to be fine with it, nothing too freaky she says

And I luckily have better sight now........as age has brought some longsight that seems to have balanced the myopia
I actually cannot wear the old myopia glasses, and can see better without them, it is weird

Any eye thing is scary.....the anaesthetics they can use are damn fine......you should be good
I had an eye injury, as soon as they put the numb stuff in.......awww the relief

...I love getting up at all early hours of the night to watch Rocket launches Live at Nasa or wherever... I always find them to be exhilarating to watch the sheer power and force of the liftoff... my sweet darling wife thinks that I'm insane lol!... cheers.

...and... I find this interview of Brian's with Buzz Aldrin to be absolutely amazing... Brian has such a great interviewing technique... he brings out the hidden personality that we never usually see in people I believe... cheers.
