It is very creepy.
I just love how the Brits do these contained shows, 3 parts is perfect - no dragging things out because ooo look we got hot ratings, USA ruins shows that way.
The wife is from Extras, I love her.
David looks weary.

Must wait until Jam has viewed before I say anything more.

You might all like the Widower then - another three part thriller of similar ilk I think (I've not watched but it's rated very well for ITV).

Also beginning tonight in the UK for fans of historical drama is New Worlds, a four part follow up to The Devil's Whore from a few years ago set in the late 17th century with a fairly impressive young cast.

I've just started watching Rectify. Really great acting, but I'm undecided about continuing. Has anyone here seen it? Opinions?

...what does anyone think of the show 'Resurrection'?... my sweet darling wife and myself have been watching it... (has this show been mentioned in any other threads here yet?)... one of the main things that gets to me is that when people come back after 20 years or so for instance... the reactions from the families don't seem to be what you'd expect from those people... they seem so placid and reserved rather than ...

"Oh my god!... aaaaaaaargh!!!!!!!.... **scream scream**... how can this be happening??????.... **scream scream scream**... it can't be you!!!!!!... **scream scream scream scream**... I think that I'm going to have a heart attack!!!!!... **scream scream scream scream scream**... Oh my god!... Oh my god!... Oh my god!... Oh my god!"...

...type of reactions... it seems more like...

''Oh!... what are you doing back here?" type of responses... it is so irritating because their reactions don't ring true to me... it sort of ruins the show for me... what do you guys think of the show (if you watch it of course)... just curious... cheers.

I watched the first few episodes but then kinda lost interest.

I'm a fan of sci-fi but I just found the need to suspend belief too much for this show. Like it's trying too hard to be too realistic but then just too much doesn't make sense. I guess I feel similarly to you @Mr Stickyfingers although I hadn't been able to as clearly articulate why I felt it was a little 'off'.

I may go back and catch up, don't know.

In an almost similar vein, I'm looking forward to Under The Dome season two. That show kept me hooked and intrigued as to the cause of the dome.

I guess I just lost the desire to know why the dead people were returning. They weren't giving enough away, quickly enough for me or something.

Anyone here watching In The Flesh? It's a UK series by BBC three.

Haunted by what he had done before being treated for Partially Deceased Syndrome (PDS) [with injections and make-up so he looks less undead], 17-year-old Kieran Walker (Luke Newberry) reluctantly returns to his hometown of Roarton. He is faced with his wary parents and his sister Jemima (Harriet Cains), now a member of the vigilantes group, Human Volunteer Force, who rather kill all who have PDS

Season 2 just started on Monday and season 1 is only 3 episodes long. It is nothing like the walking dead, basically it is more about the aftermath of the uprising of the dead and how people react to having to live with people who have PDS.

I'm missing True Detective.

I wonder who will be in the next series. It will be so hard after Woody and Matthew.

Yeah, not sure they'll be able to get anywhere near as good.

I've recently started watching Fargo, not as good as True Detective and not as good as the movie (how could it be?), but if you need some awkwardly dark crime it might suit.

Also if you like a bit of horror check out the new Penny Dreadful. Only 2 episodes so far, but is looking very good.

I've read rumours on the internet (so it must be true!!) that Brad Pitt might be in the next series of True Detective. I've also read that it won't be a murder mystery as such, but will be about catching a known criminal and will star a male and female. But, really, who knows? I could write a post somewhere that it will be about a series of unexplained bike thefts and star Prince Charles and Bill Clinton and someone will believe it.

I am loving Fargo! Billy Bob Thornton makes a wonderful psychopath (sociopath?) and Martin Freeman is great as a bumbling, ineffective fool. (What an idiot!) The script is super.

I haven't caught Penny Dreadful yet. Is it on a channel that has catch-up?

I hadn't realised season two had started! Must catch up. Glad this season is six episodes as three was just not enough. Hopefully Kieran has more luck this season the poor bloke.

Yeah, I had my doubts on seeing Martin Freeman playing an American, bad I'd forgotten them all by the end of the first episode. It's such a great character. Bumbling, paranoid, spur-of-the-moment - yet he keeps managing to get away with it.

Hmmm... Well season 2 is exploring more about the mythology instead of focusing on Kieran. I've read a few reviews that have said that season 2 has lost what made season 1 so good. But I disagree. Season 1 was only 3 episodes and to me it was a great amount of time to spend on Kieran to learn about his story, now season 2 has the opportunity to explore the world of In The Flesh a lot more. I have to say Amy is my Fav character and in the 2 episodes that I've seen she has been getting a lot more screen time.
