Good idea, Pecan I love docos the other night I spent ages googling to get suggestions for good ones to watch, I ended up in a Whirlpool thread but would also be interested in suggestions from here.
 
Just wanted to say what a cool surprise to see that snickers commercial with joe pesci.

Chris Lilleys New show premiered last night.

yeah it wasnt bad. wasnt SHH or WCBH funny though. maybe my perception has changed in the 3 years since then, or maybe United states of tara has given this a new twist that makes AB unoriginal...I dunno. Still watch though.

Really? I really liked it. I thought it was funny but at the same time i thought it was really poignant in some places. Especially when gran was saying "they are still just boys" and then her relationship with the twins at the end. I look forward to the rest of the season. I guess I also never expected it to be a hillarious comedy because I never saw SHH or WCBH as that funny. I enjoyed it for Lilley's ability to completely own a character.
 
It is very different to WCBH (with the obvious exception of having Nathan and Daniel) and SHH in that with those previous series, there were genuine LOL moments. I just didn't see the humour in AB. Perhaps Liley is deliberately taking a different approach to this show than the others, or maybe he wants to introduce/reintroduce the characters before the veiwers will 'get it'? I dunno - I didn't really get the point of it. I mean, yes, I know what your saying in terms of us seeing Gran as 'racist', but then seeing her comforting the boys and the 'they're just boys' moment. It just hasn't struck me as obviously mockumentary as the previous shows. Not sure where he's going with it.
 
Programming aresholes, everything good I want to watch all on at the same time tonight, doc who, eurovision,and sytycd.
 
Re Angry Boys I watched it on iview last night and enjoyed moments of it, not as much as SHH and WCBH but I will watch it next week.

No Ordinary Family has also got the axe

The new Wonder Woman TV series didn't even get to screen a pilot episode. Was filmed but still got axed. So the cameltoe of justice is hidden forever.

I enjoyed Angry Boys as well. When she was splitting them into 'light skinned and dark skinned' I nearly broke myself.

I loved the bit at the end when she was handing them tissues and the eskiom kiss between her and Nathan awww.

Family Ties eh? I've been watching that show a lot lately. It's not great really but I enjoy it :D
