every time clips of Oprah's last shows appear on TV I have to leave the room. Shes why the word "smarm" was invented.

I watched it last night but not tonight. Nothing else on last night. No-one is that wonderful. It was a bit over the top, I thought.

It was interesting how Patty La Belle's 5"stilletto shoes magically disappeared halfway through her song though. There one second - barefoot the next.

she is very over the top. I noticed how much she wasn't when the cameras weren't rolling though at the show we went to, she was all screams and OMGs and woos and so on but when they went off she calmed right down. Best parts of the taping was the in between bits :) I didn't watch it though

Have you guys watched Jersey Shore?
I caught part of 2 episodes.
These people are so fugly and deluded, and dirty looking - ewww they look like they are made from mahogany or teak, horribly toooooooooooo tanned; guys with faces like squashed tomatoes.
And it is all soooooooo boring.

I can't do it.
I know it's sort of a throwback to the good ol' days of brainless young Big Bro contestants, but I just can't expose myself to Jersey Shore. I'd lose all faith in Humanity.

lol :o It's addictive. I watched season one on dvd and am looking forward to the next few. There's another show called 'My Big Friggin Wedding' that seems to be from the relos. It's repulsively good, makes you shake your head and wonder. Monday night. :)

I just discovered big friggin wedding too. Trash tv gold!! How's the idiot who thought she was preggers? How did that couple even get together!?

Yes I have :o watched Jerseyshore, initially I didn't enjoy it all that much because of the weird way it is filmed but now that I am used to it I watch it on occassion, enough to know who they all are and what is happening in their love lives.

Has family ties been repeating somewhere? How come ya'll are talking about it? One of the female stars has a book out. I had to do a purchase request for a patron last week.

Yeah, it's on channel 11 here...along with the Brady bunch, mork and mindy, roseanne, love boat, cheers...all of those oldies.

oooo I don't check the guide for those channels. Just 7 9 and 10 and a few Austar ones.

EDIT Boo hoo I just searched the TV guide an Family Ties didn't come up. And I checked next monday and friday and it wasn't on those days boo hoo.

It gives me serious deja vu issues. The tv goes on after school and there's Brady Bunch, Happy Days, Mork and Mindy, Family Ties.... It's like I get whisked back to my own childhood. The kids love it. They even now finally understand where Jumped the Shark comes from after seeing the Happy Days episode.

She is awful! Bagging his kids, lying to him about the money she's spending, then that whole repulsive personality issue. :)

I feel sorry for the one with the drunk mother.

Comes up on my guide.

haha I'm a total drongo. Turns out that channel is the only channel unticked. I have all the other free to air channels on my account but not channel eleven. Thankyou:D

eek it has the Love Boat too!! And diagnosis murder! I'm a little excited about crappy old shows. I wish I had a personal recorder, I'd set it to record all of them:D

Touched by an Angel is an awesome show.

Not listed but another good show was Early Edition, it'd be good to see that again. And OH downloaded all seasons of Sliders last year. That was good both times around

Ooooooo caught my first bit of Angry Boys last night, the endlessly wanking twin was hilarious, and anti wank mits!

Look at this coming saturday

The Great Food Truck Race
ABC2
Sat, 11 Jun 2011, 45 minutes, PG, Documentary, Adventure, Series
Across America, chefs are taking to the streets in mobile truck kitchens. They're parking on corners and in front of office buildings to serve some of the most unique, delicious dishes around. In The Great Food Truck Race, seven teams representing America's most outrageous and best food truck providores compete to cook their way around the nation from LA to New York. Each week, the teams that make the most money race to the next destination while the least successful drive the long haul home. In the end, one food truck remains and the team behind the wheel win $50,000. Featuring business school graduates to culinary school dropouts, traditional family recipes to heart-stopping burgers and an ever-changing view out the kitchen window, this is a hilarious ride around America. Host, Tyler Florence greets the teams in Southern California but he throws in a 'truck stop' twist that leaves the teams scrambling early on. They think they are starting in LA, but quickly learn that the first city they must conquer is over 100 miles away in San Diego. How will they handle this switch? After a frenetic weekend, who will be sent home ... could it be 'Banana Man'? Will San Diego get into escargot? Ragin' Cajuns?
