god this is terrible have only been laughing during Ben Elton's bits. its a shame I really like Paul McCarthy as an impressionist

The sketches are pretty cringeworthy. Especially the famale body builder and The Fat Chef.

I thought Genevieve Morris was meant to be in the cast? I hope she turns up soon. I love her.

yeah she had a couple of good lines and did the Barbara from Bankworld voice

The Amy Winehouse one needs to be skinnier and with more tatts. The Lily Allen one needs to master the accent. I quite like the Gaga one.

Oh, look. It's the headmistress character Melanie Salmon used to do on The Comedy Company, but not.

Arj Barker - great as always.

Gawd, don't know how anyone lasted long enough to see good bits in this show...........we lasted about 10mins, and that was hideous, horrible noise.
It was all so loud and screechy our ears hurt, it wasn't funny and we found something less grating to watch, quickly.

I think I read somewhere it has a guaranteed 4 episode run with the option to extend, but given the dismal ratings, I can't see that guarantee standing.

Aside from Genevieve's Elaine Front, Arj's stand up, and some of Ben's bits, it was all a bit too try-hard. It's such a shame. I would love Australia to have a Saturday Night Live type show because we do have some great comedians, but, despite several attempts, I don't think we've had a decent sketch/stand up show since The Big Gig. :(

I think Elton is very clever and has written/been associated with some funny stuff, but I find him really annoying when he does comedy. I quite like him just doing interviews.

One thing I do find with Ben's stand up is that he's a bigger recycler of his own material than Wil Anderson (soz, Wil, but it's true :p). There were 2 pieces within his bits last night that's he's been doing for years.

Yes, I'm looking forward to Tim too.

I kind of feel like a show like this was doomed from the start. Modern day Channel 9 isn't the home for this kind of thing.

So, anyone going to have a crack at Adam Hills In Gordon Street Tonight?
I <3 Hillsy, so I'll be watching. :D
