I agree with the above about not rushing to move, but it is also replacing one faux experience (mansion) with another (hiding the truth) with a third - long distance dating. When they see each other they will be excited but there is none of the reality of a real relationship. By the time they actually did move to the same city, would they even really know how to cope with the bad moods and the grumps, and even interpreting a mood, when they have not had any of that before?
