Talk to Timdormer (yes it's really me)

Being pulled out of the mix last minute in 2012 would have sucked. I'm so glad you came back the following year for another go. Were there times where you thought 'stuff 'em I'm not applying again?'

i remember being shattered. i decided i would allow myself one day to sook so closed my door and stayed in bed all day crying. i then put on my Facebook that night an update of one of my favourite dalai lama quotes: "remember not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck". within 2 weeks i was running naked on rihanna's tour plane in front of the world. i spent the year developing a rockstar attitude that i would always live on instinct and didn't care what others around me thought or were doing.
when auditions came back around in 2013 i just knew in my heart that i was going to be on, but i was totally ok if i didn't.

I remember you were in an advertisement where you smelt a room with a spray or something. And it had the diary room chair in it. Did you know that was going to be the chair in the house and how long before the show was that filmed?

yes the ambit pur ad! this was filmed in a secret studio on the GC during lockdown. we were blindfolded for the entire time. i LOVED the diary room chair, i thought it was so rock n roll! i remember being really naughty in the holding room while they tried sooooo desperately to keep us housemates from seeing each other. i got my companion to sneak a peak, who described another housemate as an extremely pretty dark haired girl...this was none other than tahan!![DOUBLEPOST=1408875949][/DOUBLEPOST]
Yes you mentioned on Twitter a while back that you knew some people going into the house? Was this personally, or did you know them from auditioning with them previously?

oh this was ages ago. i heard they all didn't get through to final rounds.

@Timdormer were you shocked that Jade came incredibly close to beating you in the finale? Nothing personal against Jade but most of her time in the house was spent obsessing about Ed and was not the least bit entertaining for many dedicated BB fans like myself. Personally I was hoping that the last 3 remaining housemates would come down to Drew, Tahan and yourself and was massively dissapointed that did not turn out to be case.

Tim, were you nervous when you made history and put yourself up for eviction? That was a hilarious and gutsy and tactically brilliant move. The good old sticks looked stricken and confused when you did that, you could see their brains labouring to work out what you were up to while you danced around ten steps ahead of them all. So great.

I think you should watch your season if only to see Ed in the Diary Room plotting your demise, mumbling darkly about the cards up his sleeve, it was so absurd and funny. And doomed.

@Timdormer, you've won and lost me many times over during the show and since (though I suspect you kinda like getting that reaction from people?), but honestly, thank you so much for coming by here and chatting. It's really good of you and it's been a blast to read.

(P.S.--yes, Drew intervention stat. WTF.)
GRRRRRR!!! you have no idea how much i do and don't care at the same time. i don't take anything personally but why are people so quick to judge? why not just ask me! i LOVE a good heated debate/conflict...its all about resolution people!! the biggest problem with the world i believe is ignorance. and I'm not immune to it! I used to say it in the house all the time and i;ll say it to you all now... if you have a problem/question about something I've said or done ASK QUESTIONS. or just rack off. just don't judge without finding out the full story. I LOVE being proved wrong and apologising where appropriate.

I think with sensitive issues like the whole Choose Life thing, it's pretty normal for people to react emotionally rather than ask for context, but I do get what you're saying. Anyway, big thanks again for doing this.

Thanks for coming back, Tim! I don't think I thanked you for answering my questions last time, so thank you for doing that!
I also want to echo what others have said - it's really nice of you to spend your time answering these questions.

On the topic of Late Night Feast - did anyone get really, really, REALLY drunk during their time in the house? And if so, can you share any funny stories?

Also, on the topic of "re-introduced" shows - did the Showdown feel a bit underwhelming for you, considering you had seen how grand-scale Friday Night Live had been during previous years?

haha yes there are many funny stories! the night of the talent show we all had a new type of red wine which made us all vomit everywhere. i remember running to the bathroom and missing the bowl to projectile vomit all over the white walls in the toilet. the stains were still there when i went back to visit the house after the show. hahaha.

omg i loved showdown! i knew that it must have had a change of schedule (probably wasn't rating) when they moved it from friday nights early on in the game to during the day. the challenges were a welcome relief to a boring house. i used to plan my outfits and spend the morning making them. the week i decided that i wanted to win showdown to have the power to put myself up for eviction i hid under one of the beds for 2 hours meditating that i was going to win. i visualised it until there was no other option in my head (I'm a weird like this, i used to run on the treadmill most nights staring at the eviction door saying the same mantra to myself over and over "and the winner of big brother 2013 is tim"...i think its called "the secret" ahhaa. i dunno I'm weird but it works). anyway i won showdown, put myself up for eviction and i knew i had won over australia that week. some of the showdown challenges were obviously rigged to favour certain housemates. i learnt very early on that big brother was not a fair game. i dunno if you saw my tantrum showdown night one? i thought the first challenge was so unfair and so stupidly designed (drew vs matt holding the girls suspended over the tank of eels), i chucked a tantrum in the holding cell, refusing to leave, then when i finally was coaxed out i sat with my back to the game on the grandstand. i didn't even go to say goodbye with the other housemates when matt and caleb left for the presidential suite later that night (which turned them off me). i went into the diary room and apologised to big brother and realised the game was never meant to be fair, and i would just have to play my own game.

Tim,

How are you feeling tonight after your race today ?

legs are a bit sore, bum is really tight if you must know.[DOUBLEPOST=1408877113][/DOUBLEPOST]
I am finding it slightly difficult to believe you have not been involved in a discussion about whether there was an up late/adult content show until NOW?!
haha i think i was too nervous to ask my friends and family!!

You really do not know? Or are you just trying to get me to repeat nasty things he has said :)
Let's just say that Nathan has made no secret of his dislike for Tim and his behaviour in the house.
I honestly do not know, there was a point when I wasn't following the forums that closely, I must of missed it.

@Timdormer Thanks for making BB unmissable last year!

Have you been surprised by the strength and longevity of the friendships you developed in the house? (or disappointed that others didn't last outside the house?)

nope. generally (with the exception of tully) the people i became friends with in the house are the people who still remain close friends with on the outside. thats coz my relationships in there were genuine. i would like to actually catch up with people i wasn't friends with in the house and see if we can put aside our differences and remember the good times. there is a big reunion planned with everyone in melbourne in oct. ben myself and jade are unsure if we will go. id like to, but without them it feels weird.

The worst was probably that he called Tim a bully. Which was a really stupid thing to say when it was a game show about outplaying everyone else. I used an example that Nathan is the type of guy who would complain about being tackled too hard in a game of rugby. Idiot.

@Timdormer i have a feeling that the new promo tonight with the whole 'giving someone all the power' may be a change in the way the show has been made in the past. Maybe they will be doing a Head of House like the USA version does? just a thought but im probs wrong lol
i don't know. but my housemate who has watched US show intently told me all about the HOH feature. I'd say you might be right.
