Survivor San Juan Del Sur

Visualise the Win, huh? I think Jon read the book The Secret, where you work backwards from success and drive straight to the empty carpark. I do wish they played the more hubristic moments from tonight in slow motion. The thought of a god pressing a button to make him win a million to taste wine for a living is gold.

That episode was Survivor GOLD. So satisying when a huge ego (who is so over-confident that they get blindsided while holding an idol) is served up a dose of reality. Missy played it smart, sticking to her "loyalty" by not writing his name down, so she can play that card if she makes it to the end.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. When Jon caught up with other eliminated players on Ponderosa, Alec accused Missy of orchestrating his elimination and Jon seem to buy it without question. After all these guys aren't the brightest bulbs in the house. lol

Of course we as viewers know that it was nat who was behind his blindside but it's uncertain at this point whether he finds that out before casting his vote and/or if it affects it.

Personally I don't get all the hate directed at Jon. Sure he has been naively overly confident/arrogant throughout the game, believing that it was his 'destiny' to win and I can understand why that would rub some people the wrong way.

But IMO he's not being half as arrogant or obnoxiously intolerable as natalie, who has constantly displayed an unjustified air arrogance and dismissive contemptuous attitude towards other players that it's difficult to stomach.

If I had an option of having a drink with either of those 2 (Jor or nat), I'd choose Jon without a moments hesitation.

My eyes are covered and I am not looking at what happened! I will watch it later today.

For me, Jon had a huge air of entitlement with little basis in reality. Natalie, who I couldn't stand in Amazing Race, dodged the favourite bullet and has been mischief making for the win. Her multiple lies last night were quite outstanding. I think I go easy on her because there is a strong correlation between her (admitedly arrogant) behaviour and reality. She still has the rest Jedi mind tricked to find Keith the next biggest threat and Natalie against Missy/Baylor/Jaclyn....hmmmmm, don't play the drums too long on that one.

I don't like any of them much. Keith is the best of a bad lot but I didn't find any of their personalities appealing. I still think Baylor is a self-entitled little brat, and Missy has nurtured that, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Natalie is sneaky and deceitful without demonstrating positive qualities such as loyalty. Jaclyn doesn't bring anything to the game (and treats her boyfriend pretty badly from the edit we saw). I didn't hate Jon, he was amiable enough, but his self-entitlement and arrogance was his undoing. They all think they are playing it hard but they are lightweights compared to the memorable contestants of previous seasons.

Not trying to be negative here - it has been a good season, I just don't have any favourites after Reed left.

I agree with almost all of your post.;)

I hate to say it but Jeremy was awful too. The guy couldn't stop talking rubbish about his fellow players, stating how above them all in his confessionals. Did not like the dude, too negative and up himself for my liking.

I'm sorry but nat is ghetto trash to me, simple as that. The way she went after Rocker based only on 2nd hand information from Jeremy that is decades old (the guy could've changed by now) speaks volumes of the type of worthless opinionated ignorant hoodrat she is. She might be half-decent at playing the 'game' but I don't wanna see this sort be rewarded with a million dollars, no way no how.

Rocker is right, nat hides behind the fact she's a woman to be able to run her mouth and not face the consequences of her low class actions.

I agree with this about Natalie, but I still want her or Keith to win.

So often the women get dragged along without doing much... Ehem.. Jaclyn. These gals are playing smart and I think it is due to different ages on the season!

Spitting , I am guessing it is since he is outdoors on a farm? There is no tradition/acceptability of public spitting here .

This season has had some epic TC and the last one was perfect. I am not getting the Natalie hate. She has played smart, cool and strategically. I hope she wins. Without her twin to bicker constantly she has done so much better and is likable. The Missy/Baylor dynamic is interesting ....
Yes, but in all fairness, the entire John Rocker episode was b.s. I would hate to be judged today for mistakes I made 20 years ago.

Spitting is gross out here in the u.s.a. As well. I suspect his wife or the women in his life may be pointing that out to him now going forward.

Well speech maybe free but not of consequences ... He could have owned up to his past and shared what he learned. But instead he acted like the arrogant bastard that he is and he likely hasn't learnt anything at all.

Must have watched a different episode because Rocker was never given a chance to do that. Nat ran her hoodrat mouth talking trash non-stop for what seemed like an hour about someone she had no clue about other than what she had heard from a secondhand sourse. Unfortunately her diatribe was persuasive enough to convince the morons on the rival tribe to vote out Rocker their strongest physical player which only served to weaken them and ensure they kept on losing Immunity challenges.

Jeremy and Natalie did play the minority race card...but it was the greatest verbal skittling of an opposing team in Survivor history. Given that it was deliberately contrived strategy I give them full credit. (But hard to watch at the same time...) Jeremy was using it for self preservation and Natalie decided to fully charge, and it worked.
