Ratings Thread 2013

Thanks! :) But guys, my only advice is to not worry about the ratings. Just enjoy the show as if it is the last! Otherwise we're just going to get 'oh, the ratings are shit...it's not going to get renewed...it's being slaughtered left right and centre' every single season and it just detracts from the enjoyment of the season.

We're never really going to know what a network wants from its shows unless it really well and truly bombs out- so until that happens, just assume the best.

DOUBLE EVICTION - MONDAY, 19TH AUGUST 2013

910k - #8 in total people.

#3 in all demos (25-54, 18-49 and 16-39).

Really good considering the late start and how long it went for.

Numbers will hopefully go up next week once the eviction is back at 7pm

I was still expecting a little more than 910,000, but that was only because it went up last night. The 8PM timeslot is rubbish for BB if they're not going to put all the editions there. Should do better next week.

to be honest, I think having Hamish and Andy on first did wonders for evictions, i'll be surprised of numbers are as good as this week with out them leading us in...

Hmm yeah maybe. I feel that it might have been better swapped around. But in any case - will be interesting to see comparative results next week

NOMINATIONS - MONDAY, 20TH AUGUST 2013

871k - #9 in total people.

#5 in 25-54 demo, #4 in 18-49 demo and #2 in 16-39 demo.

Hmm... At least it made Top 10 and Top 5 in all demos...

Sonia really needs to brighten up her act & invest more interest in the show... All she's doing is reading the script... :(

Ratings - down on last week and third at 7pm.

Apparently lowest rated nominations show since BB has been on Nine.

I love the show. I love everything about it, but I must say it irritates me no end when you get the gaggle of moaners who come into this forum and just tear it to pieces. Comments like "that's it, I am NOT even watching" "it will be the last season..."and so on make me want to say "well pick up the remote, switch over and fuck off! It's that easy!!!!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Ha!

Yeah lets get rid of everyone who has issues with the show, stop them watching. Then watch those ratings soar!

BB ratings across the country last night

Ppl 25-54

Sydney - 11th
Melbourne - 5th
Brisbane - 1st
Adelaide - 13th
Perth - 11th

How are these results anywhere near ok? They would be ok for channel 10 not nine

I have to agree, last night's ratings are not good! But in all honesty, it was such a boring show! Nom's are just boring, they could be over with in 1/2 hour!

The main thing is the ratings are staying pretty consistent. While they are obviously lower then last season they aren't plummeting to drastic lows. The fact they are staying this consistent is a good sign for the show.

As the week goes on the ratings will naturally drop as people have social lives, commitments, etc. It happens to all the weeknight shows.

When it gets to the point where we've dropped to the low 700s or even the 600s on the prime viewing nights of the week (in this case - Mon/Tues for BB) then we're doing good I think and no need to panic.

It's ashame that BB isn't the block which pulls 1.1-1.6 million each night, but that's just the way the cookie crumbles. I'm not stressed about the ratings at all at this stage.

Let's hope the ratings improve next week with X factor going into Live shows from Sunday, and results on Monday.

X factor goes 7.30-8.30pm on Mondays and BB 8-9.30pm so it won't hit BB as hard. The X factor results show tends to rate a bit under the live shows, so BB might slightly increase on Monday nights and as X factor will no longer be on Tuesdays, BB may have a smoother run then as well.

Time will tell I guess.

BB starts at 7pm next Monday (and from now on) because Hamish & Andy have finished so it will clash with The X Factor.
