No. I have a co-worker who is senior to me who agreed to present at a conference workshop. Less than a fortnight before the conference, they call in 'sick' for 2 weeks and 'can't do the conference'. I'm the only other one going to the conference so I have to do it. They have done nothing on the workshop. Nothing at all. I would be fired if i did this. Then they send a series of emails and have micro managed 7 hours of a school student's work experience into 15 minute intervals including suggested lunch time topics and allocation of a staff member to introduce and stimulate conversation. Even if this poor innocent 15 year old wanted to do my profession, which honestly they've usually just picked anything for work experience and spend most of their day texting, they are going to be so scared from the micro managing they will change their mind. They even micro managed a morning tea which ended up wasting the department $50. I want to tell them that their behaviour is not ok, but they have a bad temper. I need to be seen to try to deal with their behaviour before I escalate it further, but I'm not sure how
