Has Jade been deleting comments? I haven't seen anyone call her pathetic or anything like that on the cupcake pic. Just two people calling her boring.

No, but I saw a few comments calling her " desperate" and "pathetic" since she came out of the house ( on pictures where she was doing normal stuff) I wasn´t referring specially to that picture.

There's a comment on that pic calling her a desperate slut.

Every photo of Ed she puts up, she is accused of being a stalker, desperate etc. As I said before, they (or Tully and Drew) could be married 50 years, and still these same pathetic idiots would be commenting.

Kind of ironic given she used her public platform on the show to try to convince people to vote for Abbott, including wrongly claiming that the Coalition support giving MPs a conscience vote on gay marriage.
No wonder she left teaching. She'd have been drummed out as a Liberal voter in the public system. And English teachers must have been appalled. Bloody hell.

Ah I understand. Yeah I've seen her cop it a bit but honestly I think she's managed to escape a lot of it too. There are people calling Tully the c word on her and Drew's instagram, saying Tahan should have her head chopped off, etc.

It's funny because I was thinking earlier tonight that Drew, Jade and Ed have only been out of the house for like 5 weeks now and a lot of that time has been filled with BB things and other promotional stuff, yet people are wondering why they haven't moved states yet or aren't together 24/7. Like, would any of us move states for someone after spending maybe two weeks of normal time with them?! But on the other hand, I'm wondering how people could possibly hate some random person on tv 5 weeks after the show has ended. I could understand it more while the show was on 5 days a week (although I'd never condone death threats or attacking someone on their own page) but it's not like these are people we've been watching for years. And yet some are still saying such hateful things about/to them. It's so bizarre.

Yeah that person posted after I did in here. People are seriously awful although I'm struggling to understand how anything about that pic would make someone think Jade is either desperate or a slut? Fucking weirdos out there. Reason #23894723548 my son isn't going anywhere near social media until he's 25.

Cute. Very cute

Agree!

Ok so someone needs to give me the lowdown on butterfly cakes. I've never heard of them before but all the recipes I've found are from Aussie sites so that's probably why. :p

A couple of them I've found are made with strawberry jam, others with lemon curd, others with raspberry jam. What's the deal with them? Those don't look like butterflies at all so are they named that for another reason? The rugrat's totally into baking so I'd love something new to make with him but he's also into asking 5 million questions so if I say we're making butterfly cakes and can't explain why they're called that or somehow make them wrong, then my ass will be grass.

So this is interesting

@ Mrs Butterface. They are called butterfly cakes because the little pieces of cake on top are supposed to look like butterfly wings.

Basically, you cut the top of a cup cake, cut it in half, fill the space you cut out with cream, and randomly place the halved pieces of cake over the middle of the cream. Tah dah!

Ah ok. So I guess Jade and Ed just went for the one wing option. Does it matter what you put in the middle? Is there a standard option?

Thank you delcan! Those look like butterflies! I get it now haha

*I realise these questions might seem ridiculous but my son is starting kindy in Jan and I don't want to be the one who is asked to make butterfly cakes at some point and I muck it up. Or even worse, face his demonic wrath if I make lemon ones and have to listen to "But Mummmmmm, everyone knows they're made with raspberry". The kid could probably bring even Kim Jong-un to his knees if he's disappointed in you.

Personal preference on the filling. We usually put cream and raspberry jam. And sometimes I make them as lamington ones, cover them in chocolate icing and coconut. But we still put the jam and cream in the middle.

Cream with the jam is always popular, but I like lemon curd…and these days people sometimes use soft icing…all yummy.
