I like Sam, but yeah the sweat is a bit ewww!!

In regards to Andrew, I would like to point that Peter Allen was also married, and I am sure he was in some school musicals!!

That bio is classic.

Has anyone else noticed all the food touching going on this year?

I know it happens every year but this time around it seems to be happening a lot, the dish Audra did the other week which won her immunity did not have one skerrick of untouched surface area on it, she was picking it up and trembling and then rearranging it. I swear I saw one of the immunity chefs put her finger in her mouth too. EEWWW

Nuh
I've been noticing more the whole lot of them are very touchy/feely, forever leaping, cuddling, touching,kissing......gush, gush, gushing
Really sick of all the squeeling, it's all just a bit too much

Yes, it is so off putting I know food is handled in kitchens but if I saw it happen I couldn't eat it. On the plus side, hair is being tied up this year which is a new thing, last season long hair was dangling all over the place, yuck.

That's odd because I thought Amina was married with kids too. I wonder why we all got that impression.

Re Andrew, I think he's married with kids as well. I thought I remembered pics of him with adult daughters. If he is gay then he wouldn't be the first gay man with a wife and kids.

Originally I had the impression she was much older than she was. So maybe you had similar, just assumed like me? I also thought she was married with kids early on. Now I think she seems her age, for whatever reason when I first saw 27 I thought, no way is she that young.

Now is this wrong to notice? When they showed her with her family, neither her sister or her mother wore a hijab. I always find that interesting, the people who seem to choose to wear such things. Then questions like, well that's a pretty orthodox religious thing. How far does that go? It goes to what she eats. Does she pray 5 times a day and if so, do they stop challenges ect for her?

Anyway not very PC talk, but i'm simply curious. I don't give a crap if she wears it or not ect.

Actually I only noticed tonight that she was 27 too. If I had to guess I would have added 10 years on to that. Maybe I was just assuming because she seems older. She is a pediatric nurse so maybe the shots of her with kids stuck in my head as being her kids when they were her patients. I also saw the group shot with her parents and sister eating a meal together and even then it didn't connect that she was so young or that she was single. I did notice the hajib though and like you was curious. Its not wrong for you to notice though, you couldn't help but notice. They're not exactly subtle items of apparel..lol. I would have been a bit gobsmacked if she had gone home tonight though. I still think she's a top 3 contender.

I know grrrrrr.

Who was the Celebrity Chef last night, I caught the name Christine but have no idea who she is.

Christine Mansfield, I've never heard of her except maybe once before when she was on the show.

Maybe Andrew needs to do her hair, it was like a birds nest!

So glad Amina is safe, but would have prefered Andrew to go than Sam.

RE : Andrew, I noticed this...

http://www.realityravings.com/2012/06/25/masterchef-australia-the-christine-mansfield-pressure-test/

Andrew was choking up talking about his children and he also described the broth of the dish beautiful like his wife. So there you go the 100 or so people who have hit this blog today after googling “Andrew Masterchef Gay”. Though there is probably more now after Andrew did nothing to dispel the gay rumours after he caressed Wade’s face at the end of the episode.

Kind of like how Andrew is handling the 3 little piggies judging him, so he's moving up in my line, just never let him captain again.
But I love Amina. And loved Sam - he is a real gentleman, such a shame he's gone will miss his wit.

Now is this wrong to notice?

I noticed this at the very start of the series and when i asked about it here King gave some info about married ladies usually choosing to wear the hijab, so maybe this is why we all think she was married?

I (rather rudely) said to the Mr that Christine looked like an ex crack ho and he said 'what do you mean ex?' so yes I think she needs a new 'do.

I love the voice over at the end of last night's ep 'Can Treegan......' NO she can't and she really needs to stop with that ugly screwed up face she does.

Does any one have the result of last night? I swtiched over for Once Upon A Time.

Did Treagan shine, or did she crumble?

She crumbled.

Her ravioli beat the chef's entree (somewhat suspiciously, imo, because George seemed to have the deciding vote and said the cauliflower salad was the best dish he'd ever tasted in the competition) and her other two dishes got beaten.

For some reason they didn't show scores, just said you win entree, you win main and you win dessert.

So in every one of these challenges, has one of the contestants won the best dish over the chef? Yet the chef has won because they had two good dishes?

It would be good if the best dish was the one that got the immunity pin. So those challenges were Amina got best dish - she would have the pin. That could product some funny results.

Last night was a case of the team letting you down for once, so far it has been the team that got them over the line.

They don't so scores for this type of challenge, they jsut pick the winning dish of the two. I was suspicious of the scoring last night as well, what did they mean when they were saying oh well you have the vote. Does each one get to choose one winning dish only? It should be a collaborative vote, whoever gets 2 votes wins that dish.

It does seem like that ichi, that each judge picks a winner, rather than the one with 2 out of 3 winning. Which makes it totally redundant, how stupid would it sound if they sold it as "Round one : Matt's favourite entree, Round two : Gary's favourite main, Round three : George's favourite dessert"? But if that's essentiallty what we are getting...

I don't think they each get to chose one. I think what was happening, which conveniently (!!) worked out so it was a different judge each course, is that in every course one of the judges wanted one dish to win, another wanted the other dish so when they said "You get to chose", it was to the judge with the deciding vote.

We couldn't see the paper they were writing on but I call shenanigins. We could see Georges pen moving as he was writing in the first one and we all thought it looked like he was writing salmon, not ravioli. We even rewound it and looked again when he showed ravioli on his card and it still looked like he was writing salmon.
