Last movie you saw

Yeah I like the stand up and "fight" thing too. Just our biological instincts kicking in.

Romper Stomper is the movie and yes he was excellent in it, excellent. A scary movie, frightening in fact.

  I just said to hubby tonight, I must go and see this movie. What's wrong with it?? :(

Just not what I thought it would be. It was mainly about the young kid and there was barely any action. It was like watching a boring episode of Underbelly. It was s'posed to be based on the lives of the "Pettingills" but it was so far off their story I don't know how they could say it was based on their lives at all! It just lacked substance and oompf that you would expect a gangland crime based movie to have in it.

Disagree there, it's reason kicking in.

Romper Stomper was a very good film, but not much feel good factor i guess...

It just showed a side of life that is yuck...... People who don't want to better themselves and be angry at the world. Let's all have pitty parties for ourselves and take the world down with us...

What a shame he had to take that nice girl with him and fcuk up her life.

I just watched a movie on the Hallmark channel called "Front of the Class" about a boy with Tourette's Synrome who overcomes adversity to become a primary school teacher. I have never cried so much in my life, omg the tears were rolling down my cheeks **sniffs** :)

Shrek Forever After - bwahaha is how I felt about this movie

Lots of laughs, clever storyline in terms of introducting fairy tale characters etc. (although the plot is a little cliched in terms of going back in time and re-writing history etc) but I didn't mind. It's basically that Shrek feels like his life has lost it's shine, he's bogged down in the day to day drudgery and get's tricked by Rumplestiltskin (sp) to go back to his old life for just 24 hours, he signs a contract and wakes up in a world that is far far far from what he expected.

The four of us giggled and enjoyed it. Not as good as the first three, but still enjoyable.

I've watched half of "When Night Falls" with Javier Bardem. It's good so far, but fell asleep just after 12 and it was only an hour in. It's taped off SBS some time last year.

I quite like films set in Latin America, particularly round the revolutionary era - this one is set in Cuba in the early 60s.

There are some movies I've seen Crowe in where he's been great, including two Australian movies early in his career where he played a neo Nazi skinhead, and a gay Sydney man, respectively. So that shows a bit of range.

I loved him in The Sum Of Us. Hell, that movie even made me like Jack Thompson. :)

And on the subject of David and Margaret, David gave SATC half a star, Margaret gave it 3 - who's seen it and whadya think? Should I splash some cash or not?

I'm also keen to hear peoples thoughts on SATC 2. A friend who has seen it says that it's great until they get to Abu Dhabi - where it goes from farcical to racist - and then returns to normal/good once they're back in NYC.

Yeah, I hear the treatment of race in the mid East was not good, in the SATC movie. Then again, it seems to me that Americans are generally on another planet. Some I've met seem to be ok, but the way they generally portray themselves in their popular culture, just makes me wonder: "what is the weather like on your planet?"

Maybe I'm not explaining this so well. What I suppose I'm saying, is that many Hollywood movies love the twee stereotype. Not all Hollywood films, but can't say I have much faith in SATC avoiding them.

I do like the posters for SATC ........ Photoshop does wonders for SJP.

I'm talking the narrow posters with her in that dress with the slit and leg showing. At least I think it's SJP

I don't know if anyone has posted this movie yet, because I havn't been on here for a while. But I recently saw this movie called "The Human Centipede". This movie will surely be a cult classic, it redefines horror, and may be the next SAW series.

A crazy demented surgeon tortures three tourists, by sewing all three of them together, ass by mouth. Shocking, revolting and disgusting but scary at the same time ;)

Thanks that was gross....... But technically what they did in the movie is possible only the people from number 2 onwards would have a slow death via poisoning.

For number 2 and 3 they are fed fluids and nutriants with iv drips, so could live for many years.
\
The film was not terrible, it just wasn't as good as it could/should have been. Very low budget affair.

Sorry that picture is icky... the tatoo I mean.

I know about the fluids but I was reading online and froma medical POV what they did was possible. I read that they had consulted doctors about the whole mouth / bum thing and they said that they could have eaten bottom stuff but it would have been poisonous over time.

I think it was just that you'd need the supplement through iv of certain nutrients and fluids. Not that it was poisonous.

Not the IV but the stuff you ingest from the bum of the other person well... that's another story. Eww can we change the topic that's a sick movie.
