Last movie you saw

Brenda Blethyn I've seen before in a few Mike Lee movies. Seems to be doing a lot of films in Australia of late.

It's about time I got down to the Como and saw another arthouse film, have a chardonnay in the theatre....even if I do have to go alone.

I don't think there's much that's good at the multiplex at the moment. Although, can't wait for Harry Potter.
 
Saw Knocked Up tonight. It's definately not for children but it was quite entertaining and I enjoyed it.
 
Watched Casino on the weekend on DVD. Love those quirky gangsta movies, Goodfellas etc., but I have to shut my eyes for the gory bits. Love Joe Pesci and my favourite actor of all time Robert DeNiro, the most intense, charismatic actor ever to grace the screen.

Well i saw Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix tonight. I'm sure there are people out there that will enjoy this film but as an avid reader of the books I found it quite disjointed and a fair amount of what I deem to be important information missing. So I really didn't enjoy it that much.
Think i'll just go see Transformers again :D
 
I stopped reading the series at this book, so this was the first time I had seen the movie without reading the book. IMO this is the best movie so far, cinematography wise, and as movie as a whole.

Saw Harry Potter last night...wasn't bad at all...
I too was expecting things to kinda follow the book...but things I thought would be in one spot..weren't and things I thought would be elsewhere were sooner
But still not bad at all ( but yeah preferred the book)

That is a great film, highly entertaining and an awesome soundtrack to boot.

Someone after my own heart..I cant believe it.

I am a slave to the big Pedro...and adore his flicks espec.the ones with penelope...but unfortunately the other half dosnt like them...not enough action, gratuitous violence or warfare...so I wait till they are on SBS or dvd...Look forward to getting that one to add to my Amaldovar collection!

Hehehe yeah it was pretty good Kiya, i definately enjoyed it.

Saw The Simpsons with my daughter a week or so ago. I was pretty pleased. It wasn't ground breaking or earth shattering but it was finally good to see them up on the big screen.

Then on saturday night i saw Blades of Glory, which i really loved. It was pretty darn funny.
 
Went and saw licence to wed the other day, thought that was funny too :)
 
"Am Limit" (To the Limit)
A German film about the Huber brothers attempt to speed-climb the Nose of El Capitain in Yosemite. It was compelling - I saw the only two screenings it had at the Brisbane film festival. Hopefully it'll be released on DVD sometime soon.
 
Die Hard 4.0

There is a reason it's called 4.0 and I wont give away why ;) and it's also very Americanised and OTT action but it's a good film to see at the cinema and it's got some funny bits in it too! :p

I recently saw the simpsons movie and liked it :)

I also did want to see blades of glory never got around too it though.

Next im probably going to see Chuck and Larry :)
 
Blades of Glory was as stupid good as I expected...I love Will Ferrell...he is so so good!!! Having said that...Jay maybe you need to go with your mum/dad
cause some of the scenes...I wouldnt let my kids watch...bit too rude..sex references, drug, alcohol references...but then again my kids watched bits of borat on dvd but not other scenes. So maybe wait for the dvd.
Its your parents call.
