Last movie you saw

Because I decided to have a crack at someone who is a Britney Spears fanatic. I'm merely pointing out, my view that Spears is "ghey"

2012

How many near misses can a family face in a day ?

Other than that ... Heh.

regarDS

Ah, it's started. Yeah, that one sounds good. My boss is retiring in 2012 the world may very well end then.

So, wouldn't mind seeing "2012".....it sounds a bit like "The Day After Tomorrow", which was also very good.

Maybe, "Twilight" also, I think that starts shortly.

This movie is going to be so good! the cast alone makes me want to see it!

Date Night.

I saw 2012 just then. It was good, not as good as The Day After Tomorrow though but the two movies were very similar. 2012 focuses on a broken family struggling to survive. The special effects were AWESOME, the movie depicted the earthquakes and all other disasters really well.

The way the lead (John Cusack) found out about the global crisis was silly and all their efforts to survive were ridiculous but nevertheless enjoyable to watch. You have to suspend your disbelief and not think like a logic human to enjoy this movie. There was huge logic holes throughout the movie and somethings were almost make believe.

But yeah all in all it was an epic adventure which played on our emotions. The kids were cute.

Nope. Dont do it. Dont give in to Twilight, its nothing flash.

Up - Very cute movie, not the best from disney pixar though. Had a lot of humourous parts but I think this movie will appeal more to the kiddies. Still, not bad at all. ***1/2

Are you kidding - Up deserved its 5 stars! It was brilliant!

Quantum Of Solace was great.. seriously people who write reviews ought to take a chill pill. Great action, sexy cast - all the things a bond movie requires. The lead actress was hot as! I reccomend. **** stars.

James Bond movies are to the world of fine film what Britney Spears is to the world of good music.

oooh, snap!

loved it...just one thing bugged me..

Near the end, the girl that was nearly raped...we never actually saw that she got out safely :/

very minor quibble, but yeah good movie...Loved Casino Royale as well

Time Traveller's Wife - sucks, but is strangely watchable. The producers of this need to go watch doc who to get a clue about time travel, the travel in this movie is just looney.
I keep seeing Eric Bana as ray martin unless he's Chopper.

The time travel wasn't meant to be central to the plot... It was just random. It's mainly a chick flick

What???????
How's it not central when the main character keeps losing his clothes and disappearing ever 5mins -it was giving me whiplash.

I love the Goonies too.

Moon.
A fine, and really really sad, little sci fi movie.
You can't say much about it at all without giving it all away.

Well you're not really supposed to focus on the time travel.... Because that's not how they've marketed the film. It's a romcom...

I haven't seen it but judging by the title and the subject matter i would say time travel is central to the movie...a movie can be labelled a 'romcom' but that's not necessarily what it's about and has nothing to do with it.

Genova - starring Colin Firth (and others). A softly told tale of how a family copes after the loss of their mother/wife in a car accident. I suppose it's a journey of re-awakening on some levels. The dad moves his two girls to Italy for a year, he is to teach at a university that his female friend from Uni days organises for him. The movie focuses on when they arrive til when the girls are to start school. I love love love Colin Firth, (he is so rootable, lol) and so it won't be a surprise to say I loved him in this. I was a bit disappointed with the movie though, I kept waiting for something more to happen but it never did. To me there seemed to be a severe lack of interest on the part of the dad in his elder daugther's goings on, he just left her to it I suppose, and maybe that was because he was enveloped in grief (although this never concentrated on this). I liked how the film explained the younger daughter's dreams etc. but at the end of the movie, when you thought the Dad might do something to help her, it ended and so I didn't get the sense he was actually going to do anything for her. Hmmm, I had quite a perplexing feeling after it ended and I don't like that. But to me it was arthouse so there you go.

I'll give it four stars (an extra star just for Colin)
