Jade 2013 Appreciation thread

I never saw the pic (hell will freeze over before I start following Nick), but the impression I got from what you guys reported is that Nick and the boys went out, but Ed went to the movies with Jade instead. The timing of Nick's pic and the #whereised reeks of passive aggressive "I'm pissed my brother ditched me to hang out with Jade so I'm posting a pic to show how much fun he missed out on". I'd say then he probably realised how it was coming across and took it down.

I reckon Ed and Nick would be used to spending pretty much all their time together, and given Jade isn't a big partier but it's a huge part of the Lower lifestyle, it'll be interesting to see how they deal with that if they make a proper go of it and one of them moves. Asking a guy to chose between his girlfriend and his twin is tough.

Although I could be way off. That's just my interpretation.

I'm thinking this could be a pretty good interpretation of events.

And since we're speculating (something I've been hesitant to do lately, as much as I've wanted to) I would guess that there has been discussion about Jade moving to Melbourne and this discussion filtered through to Tahan via the Annie/Milly/Jazz pipeline, with the most negative interpretation of Jade being given in the process. This trip to Melbourne has seemed more like a trial run at living together than a romantic reunion. Cooking, trips to the dentist, very quietly going about their lives in private, with just occasional glimpses on social media are all a big change from their previous times together.

I do think it's interesting that Jade's preferences seem to be winning out. Her social media posting rate isn't all that abnormal for her, but it's dramatically dropped off for Ed. They evidently weren't out partying in a bar with Nick but going to a movie. We have all wondered if Jade would have to change too much to make a relationship with Ed work but she doesn't seem to be the only one changing. That's good for Jade.

You could be onto something there. I found it weird when Tahan started taking stabs about Jade moving to Melbourne but if there's been talk behind the scenes and Tahan has become privy to it through the pipeline then at least her stabs make some kind of sense (regardless of how rude they're becomming). I find it interesting that it does seem to be a trial in living together, not a trial of Jade just living in Melbourne because I think if that were the case there'd be more sightings of them out and about in Melbourne rather than just pics of Jade hanging out with the Lowers and Annie, etc at their place. I'd love to be a fly on the wall for a few minutes to hear/see what the dynamic is like between Jade, Ed, Nick and Annie. Is Jade panning on moving in with them? Because I just couldn't see that being a happy household (there's obviously a huge difference between being welcoming and hospitable for a few days vs. a permanent thing). Or is Ed planning on moving out and moving in with Jade somewhere? Again, huge risk because they've barely spent any time together in the real world (I don't count holidays the real world), and it has the potential to severely piss Nick and Annie off in the process.

Again everyone might be reading the signs wrong and Nick, Annie, etc could actually love Jade to death, but given the comments from Jazz, Tahan, etc (people who'd probably be in that crew's loop), I doubt it. Part of me also still hasn't forgotten about their blog posts. I know they hadn't met Jade then but first impressions often stick with you even if it's just subconsciously.

I do like the point you made about how it seems to be Jade's preferences that are winning out, however I wonder how long Ed would happily live like that. Nick said himself that Ed is the much bigger party animal than he is, and given how much we've seen/heard about Nick doing I reckon it's fair to say Ed enjoys his partying.

I don't even feel right speculating on this because we're probably totally off base, but given the lack of updates filtering through I'd say your "trial in living together" theory may be spot on.

I feel kinda dirty even looking at Nicks page because the guy makes my flesh crawl - but happy tp tale one for the team ;)

I tend to tjink the visit may have been more a trial run of how Jade fits into eds everyday life and close group - I think ot would be pretty major on eds part to leave that (pretty incestuous IMO) domestic set up straight away

Yep I think [MENTION=35381]Gemini[/MENTION] called it right and Jade left yrstrr. I think she is in Sydney as someone posted on het fn last might that they served her yesterday witj people I think are her uncle and aunt.

I agree that it's hard to say based on one weekend that Jade's preferences re quiet nights are winning out. I'm not even sure that she won out this weekend as i would have expected that they would have spent the whole night together on more of a romantic date rather than spending part of the night hanging out with his friends.

Re the partying, it surprises me that most of his friends in Melbourne and Adelaide don't appear to have girlfriends in their mid to late twenties. I think this will change soon and the partying will become more infrequent, and the associated peer pressure will lessen for Ed.

I was wondering the same thing the other day. Toooo many of them seem to be single. U would expect ppl in that age group are already in committed relationship if not married. This is not criticism of Ed of course, just an observation. Maybe Melbourne is like the New York of Australia, Where everyone is single and looking for that perfect mate until they are 60 yr old.
