That's what I thought when I read her reply too, but she did retweet it, and someone complimenting it so I don't know. Like I said before, I can understand why Jade would like that video. If she hasn't seen any of the series, then she'd probably just see that video for what it was...just a whole lot of scenes with her and Ed kissing. However for us (and most likely for Ed) it's uncomfortable to watch because we saw what was really going on underneath the surface of the carefully edited kisses in that video. We saw how much Ed said he didn't like her. We saw how many times he kissed her during Friday night parties but at the same time told everyone he didn't like her and laughed along while she became the subject of their jokes, etc. I think that's why it made us so uncomfortable. We knew the context behind those scenes that the video conveniently leaves out.
Thank you, this is what I came on here to say.
It was her being her thoughtful, polite self thanking someone who'd gone to a great deal of effort.
Jade didn't make the video. Jade hasn't been opening her mouth saying things about her and Ed and their relationship, she's been going about her business.
What a fan does or doesn't do is no reflection on Jade herself, so I don't really understand how it makes Jade look bad?

Possibly because she didn't just thank the fan, she retweeted it, and some of the responses to it as well.
I just think it is going to be bad for her because I'm concerned how Ed will react to it
Well Ed's favourited this regarding it, so I don't think he's too worried..

I don't think anyone is blaming Jade here? In fact I think very highly of her for acknowledging it because even if the content is questionable for a lot of people, anyone who puts that much effort into a video should get acknowledged for it.
Like [MENTION=27024]smurf[/MENTION]ette pointed out though, she's also retweeted it and comments complimenting it. Again, that's not an issue for me (because like I said, I can understand why Jade would like the video - even if she did, she might have just been being polite). However that in comparison to Ed completely ignoring it (even with the maker begging for him to comment) is the issue. Again I'm not taking a stab at Ed either. That video would obviously make him uncomfortable knowing the context of those scenes and I wouldn't know how to respond to it either. Maybe a simple "wow, that much have taken forever!"

Given Ed's latest tweet is something to do with Inspector Gadget and typing out the theme song for it I'm honestly not too worried what that dork thinks as he's much more of an embarassment to himself than Jade could ever be for him lol

It'll be interesting to see if Jade goes to the Channel 9 Xmas party in Melbourne tonight. I'm assuming that's the reason Mikk has gone down there so it's obviously not just for the Melbourne HMs. It'd be a good opportunity for her to spend time with Ed without people reading too much into it due to the fact it was for a party I guess.
Sorry if I misunderstood - I just didn't get what was wrong with her retweeting and thanking the user and thought you meant that it reflected on her for doing that. I don't think we could ever rely on Ed doing something that would take any heat off her though to be honest as that doesn't seem to be something he's capable of - I doubt he would even register that he should.

Nope, certainly wasn't saying i had an issue with Jade for retweeting it, and to be honest I don't have an issue with Ed not commenting on it either. I was more pointing out that the maker of he video tweeting it to them and begging them to comment puts them both in a terrible position given their personalities. Knowing Jade, there's no way she wouldn't make a big deal of thanking someone putting that much effort in for her. However on the other hand Ed wouldn't be Ed if he drew attention to a video like that which probably makes him extremely uncomfortable. Then there's the issue of once again Jade looking like the desperate keen one by retweeting it, and Ed looking the opposite by intentionally not drawing attention to it.

Very true - she's definitely JadEd obsessed.
It would make me uncomfortable - it would be difficult to know the right way of responding to let them know you appreciate their effort without saying more.
PS - I was looking through the documents drive here at work and found that my boss had saved a picture with Julia Gillard's head photoshopped on a large naked lady's body. WTF??? Why would he keep that and again - WTF?? Not what I expect to see when I'm looking for a document. EWWW.

I don't want her to go because I think if Ed is still dragging his feet, the last thing she needs is to be a public spectacle. Channel 9 hasn't been super supportive of her and some of the HMs who will be there are much closer to Ed than her. I just don't want that for her at this point. The thought of her hanging with Nathan, Mikkayla and Xavier while Ed hangs with Jasmine and Boog kinda turns my stomach, even though I like Nathan and Mikkayla and her friendship with those two a great deal. It's just that everyone will be watching them, and particularly her, which would just be awkward for her.
Or it could be great fun.
Who knows. All I know is that I may not be sleeping AGAIN. Damn.
