Jade 2013 Appreciation thread

I think that's true, to a certain extent. However, the language accompanying the pics was not always so neutral. What's more, I think we can't actually assume that he even showed her around Melbourne. Basically, they went to a series of photo ops and publicity events. And he conveniently implied that she was staying with him, since he only posted pics of her out or in his house. Things might have been read into it, but you can't tell me that he didn't want to give that impression. Certainly when he left her at the airport in Sydney, he made a big deal about them being parted, as if they WERE a couple, and would be reunited soon.

I do agree regarding cultivating an impression.

The tweeting about picking her up at the airport, coupled (pun intended) with the tweets he favourited in response plus the kissing in the terminal when she arrived were intended to portray more than just a couple of HMs doing the same events.

She deserves a man who treats her like a Princess not the Prince boring & gutless.
Her pure & beautiful soul would be contaminated if she became a member of that money stinky family.
He has lost Australia's sweetheart & Jade has saved herself from falling into "the black hole", so sorry for his loss & happy for her future gain.

Right on. She was better without him in the house and definitely outside as well.

Surely the answer is obvious. If Jade has been quoted as saying she did not spend any time alone with Ed on her trip to Melbnourn e- enough said! There were no cameras adn they had 3 or 4 days/nights to spend alone at his place or indeed at her hotel. The fact that this did not happen, means they are NOT hooking up!!! The man has been locked up in a house with cameras for 3 months. You'd think the first thing he would want to do with a girl he is interested in, is get her alone in a room and get it on!! If this did not happen in the first week of her being out of the house (and in his own home!!) then it will never happen.

If they didn't hook up then they didn't hook up - why are you so agitated about it? My liking for Jade never was about her as part of a couple, rather it is for her as an individual. I'm interested in what happens for HER from now on. If Ed is part of that and he's making her happy then fine, but if not then it's nothing to get so worked up about gees.

I just hope she sees that eventually. I hope she eventually sees what most of the audience did that she's too good for him and sees that it's his loss rather than it doing another blow to her self-esteem.

I think it's for their own benefit that they conduct things privately.

They're just in the formative stages of what opportunities will open up for them, and they'll want to do things for their own, not as a couple. They need to rebrand themselves as Jade and Ed rather than JadEd, at least until they have things set up. That way it will increase their chances of having any sort of career develop out of this and increase its longevity. That way whatever promotions or work comes for them it will be for THEM rather than as a couple. This will also put less pressure on their relationship (if one should develop) because their work opportunities won't be contingent on it.

I think Drew and Tully have screwed themselves a little as far as that goes because even the magazines are calling them Drully, like they're not individuals anymore, whereas they were still referring to Jade and Ed separately.

I think anyone can plainly see that the 'stalker' and 'desperate' thing that BB was so keen to promote is in actuality far from the real situation (well anyone with a brain can see that anyway). Jade has not hung herself all over Ed in public, she has not given ANY information out publicly with regards to his private life, she has not made comments on his family's social media sites, in fact she's kept everything private. It's a credit to her to be honest and shows what a classy person she is.

I agree, I want to see her without Ed. She will be a lot more successful without him.

Could you imagine if she gets some good acting work and like somehow ends up with Liam Hemsworth or something? How fricken cool would that be.

Again I agree with you. If Ed made her happy then great for them but if it is not going to work then it's better it ends sooner than later. I will be supporting Jade for Jade herself. I prepare if she is not with Ed any way. I always think she could do 100 times better than Ed.

I think she already is seeing the light when it comes to Ed.

Guys am I the only one that thinks this is a storm in a teacup. These magazines twist and turn everything and I don't believe a word of it. There is no way that Jade didn't spend some alone time with Ed , why do you think Annie's comment about leaning $5 in the jar was deleted because they don't want people knowing she was there. I could be wrong but I think jade and ed are privately trying to work out what is going in between them and that tv week article is very misleading!

yes - i think in the TV week article she is calling him out (I remember him saying in his farewell video that she called him out on things in the house - and I think that is what this interview is doing). While I think she would still like something to happen, she is aware of the impression he was creating, and that it is not the reality of what is happening, and is standing up and not allowing him to dictate the narrative

They can twist and turn the writing however they want, but when there's two direct quotes from Jade saying she's had absolutely no alone time with Ed since she left I believe her.

I agree you can't believe something just because it's in a magazine.
I think it's a good thing for them that they're being private about whatever is happening at least in the meantime.
All we want to know I think is that she's okay and is excited about her future (with or without Ed).
