I don't think it's necessarily done after what we've read now as I had mainly thought it was done before this. Some of the crew in the Showmance thread had figured out the hotel thing before so that's not a surprise and if one or both parties isn't even sure of what they want or where a relationship is going (if anywhere) I don't think it's too shocking that she didn't stay at his place. However I don't think stuff being deleted from the blog was done in order to protect Jade's feelings... if that was the case it would've been done prior to now. Same if it had been done because Ed was pissed off and wanted it taken down. He knew about the blog so Nick or Milly could've deleted posts shortly after he got out of the house and told his family how he felt about her if he had. I believe it was done solely to protect Ed and Nick from backlash from Jade fans as they've now invested in that company and are flogging it online.Boy oh boy has everybody decided it is done and dusted? Fabio would not have spent as much time with Ed if he wasn't interested in his daughter. Her Mother would not have lied in her article - no need. Nick would not have deleted most of his blog if there was nothing in the wind. I have no doubt that they have not had much of a talk as yet. I feel sure Jade wants some answers about certain things.
etc etc etc.

Wasn't looking at it as business venture side of things. Not interested as to where they slept, would like them to be able to process the situation mainly for Jades sake. At the end of the day from all the Jade fans her happiness. welfare and future prospects are all that matters.

I'm pretty sure we'll see/hear something from Ed in the next few days about how she's a lovely gewl and he really wanted it to work but their lives are just too crazy right now and of course they'll always be great friends. Spin-spin-spinI don't think it's necessarily done after what we've read now as I had mainly thought it was done before this. Some of the crew in the Showmance thread had figured out the hotel thing before so that's not a surprise and if one or both parties isn't even sure of what they want or where a relationship is going (if anywhere) I don't think it's too shocking that she didn't stay at his place. The timing of the blog deletion is still interesting. They've known for a while that her fans weren't too happy about it, why delete it NOW when they've no doubt been putting this business stuff together for a while? My feeling is they (Ed) thought they could string out the relationship angle a while longer, without actually BEING in a relationship, but Jade wasn't willing to play the game, so they got rid of the more damning stuff in the hope that they could head off backlash from the relationship not working.
I really hope Jade has played this as cool as the interview and even her social media stuff indicates. She was gushing all over him right out of the house and in the NW party article, but there's very little after that point. Certainly her Melbourne tweets and pics were very restrained. I hope, for her sake, she saw the writing on the wall and saved her pride, even as her heart got a little damaged.
Speaking for myself, the only reason I ever hoped she and Ed could work was for her sake. She's such a lovely person that I wanted her to have the fairy tale she created, even if I didn't think much of Prince Charming. I am glad, for her sake, that he at least played along enough at the end that the landing from this fall will be gentler than what she could have faced coming out of the house.

I do not get why he spent a lot of time with Jades dad if he knew it was not going anywhere also when Fabio left he tweeted looking forward to see him again soon. I really wanted them to try and work at a relationship. Next couple of days tweets will be interesting to see.

What's up with all this panic and sudden animosity towards Ed. I think the guy truly cares for Jade and would not deliberately use Jade in order to further his image with the public. If anything, I honestly believe he is very much protective over her which I think is much more romantic than anything else. Its very obvious to me that he is attracted to her and I don't see how some people are blinded to it. I also can understand that they are extremely busy period of their lives and not to mention the geographical barrier makes things even more difficult, but I hope people give them the space and time to work things out and to try to figure it out all out.
The best thing that ever happened to that guy is Jade. To let her go would be the biggest mistake. He is still has chance with her. If he doesn't capitalize on it , I would hope that she finds her Prince Charming one day and doesn't ever look back

Bravo. Jade has just completed her Dreamworld commitment yesterday. I do hope she now has some free time. Since she has been out of the house it has been nothing but continual commitment to the BB enterprise with very little downtime.

I think Ed hates for people, be it the public, his fellow HMs, Jade's parents, or Jade herself, to think badly of him. I don't necessarily think he set out to lie or deceive after he was evicted, I think he just tried to act like the "nice" guy he thinks he is and that meant getting along with her parents, saying the right things in public, and wanting to make ammends with Jade and even protect her from the fallout of their relationship in the house. Right after the finale, he could play Prince Charming for a little while longer because the circumstances prevented it from being any deeper. There were always people around to prevent that relationship chat from happening but it was easy within the BB bubble to continue it at the level that they had had in the house. We know that Ed takes the easiest, least emotional route possible which is how he ended up in a relationship with Jade in the first place.
I don't have a lot of animosity towards Ed at this point because I think he ended up taking a lot of the hits for Jade and he could have easily allowed the stalker meme to flourish when he got out, but he didn't. I will always be glad that she wasn't faced with that when she left the house and I think at least part of that was due to Ed not playing along. He may have done it from self interest, but it really helped Jade in the end.
I do think the best thing that ever happened to Ed was Jade and, in a way, I feel bad for him that he'll never understand it. I hope Jade is able to understand that it is HIS loss, not hers, and doesn't allow this to undermine her rebuilding self-esteem. She is so much better without him!
Do Nick and Ed live together, or just hang out a lot, and does Ed still have Annie has his flatmate?
I'm not sure about whether Nick lives there or not, but Annie is still his flatmate but she's still over in Bali at the moment.

No she got back last Friday.

Really? I must be behind the times lol

No, but you have to admit that the differences in tone between the NW article when Jade first got out of the house, to the TV Week one after the Melbourne trip is pretty damning.
I find it pretty telling as well that Ed's meeting with Fabio happened so quickly, i.e. when Ed was in severe damage control mode after the Halloween special. It's not like he's going to spend so much time with Jade's parents and tell them he's not interested in her when he knows how active her dad in particular is on social media.
Look, I don't want to upset anyone because I know there's a few people here who are really invested in this relationship, but from where I stand the whole thing from when Ed left the house until now has been a first class display of damage control.
Not saying nothing will happen in the future, but they certainly don't appear to be together now either. Not hating on Ed because if things do end now then at least he's played nice to the cameras for a week or so it's not going to look like Jade was "dumped" straight out of the house to the people who don't follow things as closely as us.

Like I said, I'm not so sure it was deliberate damage control. Why take it so far and the blow it so badly and so quickly? If it WAS all damage control, then Ed has to know he's handing Jade a whole bunch more damaging material by dumping her without even trying to make it workNo, but you have to admit that the differences in tone between the NW article when Jade first got out of the house, to the TV Week one after the Melbourne trip is pretty damning.

I DO think it was instinctive damage control, with him lying to himself a little bit to make himself feel better.
But whatever, it's clearly a nonevent...over before it actually began. Like I said, it's HIS loss!
To be over something would have to be officially on . At the moment its still in a hot ding pattern. They've come out of the house into this alternate universe of intense public scrutiny where their every action is mulled over and speculated on. With their official appearances and the public watching every move it's hardly a 'real' environment for them to assess whether anything can work.
It's actually the smartest thing for them right now to stay quiet about it, keep their conversations private, until things die down, the majority of which will be in a couple of weeks. I think they both have a lot to consider right now with everything changing for them. It would be difficult enough to navigate those changes without a fledgling relationship to consider. So in the next few weeks If we do see that effort being made at least we can be assured that he has made Jade and forming a relationship with her a priority.

I do think a lot of it has to do with his seemingly intense fear of looking bad. I know we can only speculate, but I think we saw enough of this from Ed in the house to say it's highly likely. Like you also said though, I don't think it's just on a public level either. I genuinely do think he wanted Jade's parents to like him even if he doesn't see a future with them. So I think in a way they did genuinely bond because his personality needed that approval just as much as he wanted it to look to the public that he wanted it if that makes any sense. And if that genuine bond did make Jade's parents reassess Ed and say positive things about him and put it in articles and social media then that's even better for him image wise.
It's blatantly obvious to me that Ed was trying to give a distinct impression with the Melbourne pics, however now Jade's come out and crashed it. Whatever happens with them from now is anyone's guess, but I'm happy Jade's not playing along with the fake "we're together doing couple things and she stayed at my place" angle that Ed was portraying while she was in Melbourne.

So ends the most ludicrous onesided fauxmance in the worldwide history of reality tv. Anyone thinking that Ed was ever romantically interested in Jade was obviously not paying attention to the multitude of signals that he gave off right from the start of her encroachment on his personal space.
Although I presume this thread is mainly populated by middle aged women who should know better I can tell you as a male that throwing yourself at someone and making yourself easy prey the way Jade did is a recipe for relationship disaster.
Men don't like it but will take what they can get out of you and then toss you in the toilet along with their used bumwad and move on to someone who presents a better and more challenging option. We want a challenge...not a walkover. The only reason there was any reason to hope for any success was that he was almost as boring as she was so they had that in common.
Ed could have used Jade for a couple of months before dumping her out of the public eye but at least he finished it off quickly and mercifully so Jade can feel free go back to her bartending job in Bellina. Thinking there is any hope in the future for these two as a couple is beyond laughable and anyone who believes that is totally insane. He was not into her, is not into her and never will be into her. period.
Now I will retreat and batter the hatches as a furious gaggle of Jade obsessed crows descend on me and pick my eyes out.

I completely agree about the Melbourne stuff and was coming to say that when I saw you already had. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if that false portrayal is what finally clued in Jade. I hope she gave him a piece of her mind and THAT is what led to them doing more damage control and deleting the blogs.
I know there are some Ed fans and certainly there are fans of both, so i don't want to make them feel bad.I personally would like it if all Jade fans simply ignored the Lower family, their endeavors, and their spin attempts in the future. In my dreams, Jade goes on to great career and personal success and the boys sink quietly off the public radar.
