Okay there was misunderstanding. I apologise for that. I'm curious now just how bad that comment was.

Exactly! I don´t know why, but I have the feeling that Jade might have the highest percentage and they´re trying to equalize the rest of the percentages . I hope so :)
 
I have noticed for a while that some posters (no-one in particular) feel that they can be critical of housemates (because the housemates are on a t.v. show), but they and their posts must be immune to criticism. Newsflash, you a posting your opinions on a public forum so expect others to agree or disagree with what you have to say, especially if your criticisms of housemates are overly harsh,etc. These are 'Discussion forums" so we are allowed to discuss not only housemates, but each others opinions, insights, etc. Heck we may even learn from each other.

So you agree. I was talking about bad language against users, bad language about housemates is offensive to some of us too but it should not cross into the personal sphere. With this kind of attitude the other poster returns the offensive remark at a later date and so on and so forth. I have been wary enough not to bluntly insult HMs (these type of things do not facilitate open-ended discussion IMO) but I posted some extremely fierce criticism too which some posters could not stand for and had to resort to personal attacks. That post was not meant to be personal (I dont even know what you said) but simply to serve caution upon insulting users (keeping in mind the new assumptions which have risen around here)

The worst part of all about this I find is that posters just leave, fed up with the insults or just not being heard, we're left with no discussion. It can make these forum's tiresome to read when every second post just resorts to an insult or is just a repeated post of what others have already said and with no reasoning behind it. If you're going to post that someones an idiot at least give everyone a reasonable reason.

I don't think you can give a reason for calling someone an idiot because we don't know them in real life and you can't judge them from one post or even 2 or 3 (there is an exception to trolls), you can however say that their post is idiotic and then give reasons cause then you're talking about what they said rather than who they are. This is what I'm saying - "idiot", "bore", "dumb", "ugly", etc are not conducive to any discussion. What do you say to that? Nada you insult them back -.- (and they probably deserve it at that stage but you should probably resist that temptation haha)

Agreed. It would be a boring world if we all thought the same way. Sure, some things can be put better sometimes. I know I edit before I post and STILL say crap that comes out wrong sometimes. I'm just thankful we have somewhere that everyone can come and express our opinion.

It would obvs be hard for friends and family members to read. If I were them I wouldn't come near here or social media. However that poster has not said he's a family member. That's just speculation. To me he's a poster with an opinion I often agree with, just like many others on here.

Exactly. Some people completely ignore people's valid opinions and just keep the insults going, with no reasoning or justification behind what they're saying. We all love a good discussion but there's no need to resort to name calling when you can't back up your view.

Tahan had an invisible edit last weekend. I don't think it's that bad, specially now evictions are on Wednesday not Monday.

I have no idea what you mean, as my fave hm is perfect and so smart in everything she does, she deserves all the credit, I'm merely putting her argument across in a better suited way ;)

I don't know if you were around during the Tully days but the threads & the posts were cRaZy. If you supported her at all, your whole life and moral compass were called into question by every other poster. I'm amazed posters like [MENTION=28321]bbfan[/MENTION] are still here

I was definitely around, just keep changing my avatar often so maybe people have trouble recognising me now! Haha ;P Anyway, I know exactly what you mean. I mainly tried to stay off that thread. Goes back to what you were saying - if you can't have a good discussion, what's the point? If all you're getting is names thrown around right, left and center. Also some people come in, say something negative and when they get a valid reply to their view they don't acknowledge it. Then they come back the next day and write the same thing.
 
This forum is becoming like the official big brother Australia page , it's awful you can't say anything without getting your head bitten off by disgusting Tahan fans , omg it's awful , they are defending a bully and justifying everything she has done ,also I'm not watching at all next year , it just proves to me there are so many awful people in this country , it makes me sick , big brother channel 9 letting all the nastiness happen , also covering up cheating allegations being bias towards certain housemates , it's all just too much , I know they won't care losing 1 viewer, but I'm just really done with it all and if jade goes on Wednesday , I'll stop there . Sorry just had to vent !!! I'm getting smashed by Tahan lovers on another thread , I've really just lost all hope for humanity there is so much evil !!!

Bite their head back! Yeah I am a tahan supporter, but believe you should fight back too. I remember my grandfather once said to me, you don't act like anyone's fool, of course it was said in another language and sounded much more harsher, but the message is still the same no matter how it is said.
