I'm fascinated by Jade unfollowing Ed but still following Tim. Yes, she refollowed Ed, but what level of anger/betrayal did she feel and over what, that she would have taken that step with Ed? Iif she is still following Tim even after his misbehavior, but stopped following Ed, wouldn't that mean that, by the transitive property of relationship equality, Ed's offense must be worse than Tim's to provoke a greater response?

I hear you. I mean it's just a follow/un-follow on SM and yet it's such a bit statement. In addition to that, when she re-followed him on Twitter, why didn't she re-follow him on Instagram as well? I jump back and forth between thinking they're fine now and thinking they're still not 100% okay but she's felt the need to re-follow him on just Twitter for whatever reason.
I certainly agree that it was probably a lot worse given the un-following, but then again maybe a similar act by Ed just hurt more given she's more emotionally attached to him.

Yes, I did make a standard calculation error when I failed to account for the fact that the severity of the response is proportional to the offense times the degree of relationship closeness.
And still...
It just feels to out of character for it to have happened at all without a substantial provocation, but then it's taken back (partly), and she's still talking about him like they are on good terms. It all seems a little bizarre, especially when coupled with the WWTim explosion.
And I still want to know why she's even going to Melbourne....

I'll speculate for a moment...Jade may have re-followed Ed on Twitter because she was meeting the two 'Jaded' fans (she met one on Fri night) who had a present for her to pass onto Ed. (awkward, hope she hits him over the head with it

I know Nathan had been talking with them about meeting up, so that's a possibility, as Jade did meet one of them on Friday night and she may asked Jade then to take it - so she refollowed so she could post the pic for Ed (and to show the fans appreciation). I notice that photo is only on Jade's twitter - not her instagram or FB

My thoughts - when Ed found out Jade was coming to Melbourne he may have given her the heads up that he was seeing someone else.
Kind of like the final nail in the coffin, nobody wants to see pics of your ex with someone new so she unfollowed him.
Then given time to think about it, not wanting to throw the friendship away, and also because she was meeting those fans as said above she's re followed him on twitter but not lnstagram yet because she probably doesn't want to be faced with pics.
This is pure speculation of course. Who knows what conversations have happened between them besides them.

Initially I had wondered that, and that would explain unfollowing on instagram, but not twitter so much, Ed nearly always provides link to click on for insta gram photos instead of putting the photos on twitter. What I then wondered was if he told jade he was seeing someone - and then goes ahead and publishes his blog saying he's single. The lying (whether he is lying about a new girl friend when he doesn't have one, or lying to the public by saying he is single when he isn't) I could see provoking a total unfollow response from Jade. He has carried the 'I'm single' through onto twitter on Friday, saying in a couple of posts that he has no Valentine and no date (no idea whether he does or not).
You could be right there, they don't make things easy to figure out sometimes lol

When I read that you were talking about Jade unfollowing Ed I thought I should jump in and mention that the same night Jade unfollowed Ed he stopped following her to. I checked back and he was following her again within a couple of hours. Not sure what that means but tought it might help

With Twitter, followings are listed in the order that they are followed. Jade is still way down low on Ed's list of people he is following - where she has always been. Ed is at the second top of Jade's following list as he is the second last person she followed (she added the last one today when she met her - one of the fans who gave her the bracelet)

Sorry if it confuses you more hehe. When you guys said that Jade had unfollowed him I check Eds twitter account and he was still following her. Then I checked later and he wasn't anymore. Then I checked a couple of hours later and he was again. Or maybe I just missed him when I checked the second time and he never unfollowed her
