A Montreal media school has admitted that a viral video showing a toddler being snatched up by a golden eagle is a hoax.

The video -- uploaded to YouTube Tuesday -- begins with the camera following a large bird circling in the sky above a park. The bird then swoops down to where a child is sitting on the grass, with an adult standing nearby.

The bird appears to grab the child with its talons before ascending a few feet into the air as the adult runs over. The bird drops the child and flies away.

A screengrab is shown from a YouTube video called "Golden Eagle Snatches Kid."

Within just a few hours, the video had gone viral, amassing more than 2.7 million views.

But on Wednesday, the Montreal-based Centre NAD posted a blog owning up to the fact that the video was the work of several students in the school's 3D Animation and Digital Design program.

"Both the eagle and the kid were created in 3D animation and integrated into the film afterwards," the school wrote, citing Normand Archambault, Loic Mireault and Felix Marquis-Poulin as the student masterminds behind the clip.

“The production simulation workshop class, offered in fifth semester, aims to produce creative projects according to industry production and quality standards,” the blog added.

This isn’t the first time Centre NAD’s work has created a buzz: students in the program have previously created hoax videos that have also gone viral, including one showing an escaped penguin from the Montreal Biodome.

The baby-snatching eagle video had created a near instant sensation on the Internet, popping up in newsfeeds, inboxes and media reports around the world as word of the intriguing video spread. But nearly as soon as the video went up Tuesday, debate emerged over whether the clip was authentic.

David Bird, a professor of wildlife biology at McGill University, said early on the video was a fake.

"I can assure you the film is a hoax and I'm almost 99 per cent sure that bird is an osprey, which is a bird that is somewhere between the size of a red-tailed hawk and a bald eagle. They eat fish, they don't eat little kids," he told CTV News Channel. "I don't know of any cases really where a bird of prey has tried to pick up and fly off with a baby."

Bird also pointed out that Montreal has had snow for roughly two weeks and the apparent attempted baby-snatching takes place in a park with green grass.

Still, Bird admitted it was a convincing video and that it got people talking.

"It's a great story and I think people are almost disappointed when I tell them it's a hoax. It's actually got bird-of-prey specialists from all over the world -- from England to Tasmania -- talking about it."

In fact, it sounds more like this sort of thing: "... have you come to torment us before the time ?" (refrains from giving other examples)

However, as Yeshua Himself described, the trouble with delivering somebody from the influence of an unclean spirt is the real risk is things can end up much much much worse if the original host doesn't change their ways.

As to how the kid has ended up that way ... who of us can really say ? One would hope that the body's original and legit driver gets intended control before too long, along with the kind of protection and "doors bolted upon the destructive and unwelcome evicted" that only the Holy Spirit can provide.

Hmmmm, that 2nd link from "anarchist ..." may well be a strong clue as to a source of the poor 13yo's "serious issues".

OTOH, I for one must admit that I've always been fond of the "Touched by an Angel" series despite where most of it was filmed and all that, so I'll sign off on this one on hopefully a more positive thought that goes something like "blessed are they who mourn for they shall be comforted" as well as remind one and all once again that, if we so choose, there is a certain name and person we can call upon and who is both able and willing to come to our aid when we are assailed by evil whether awake or in dreamland or beyond.

... and I've been providing that info for many a moon in my sig line.

THE most powerful gun lobby group in the US has called for armed guards at all schools, a week after the shooting massacre of 20 children and six teachers at a Connecticut primary school.

The National Rifle Association’s executive vice president, Wayne LaPierre, said today “monsters and predators of the world” had exploited that schools were gun-free zones.

“The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun,” Mr LaPierre said.

The NRA spokesman’s comments came at a media conference in Washington several days after the organisation broke its silence on the shootings at Newtown’s Sandy Hook Elementary School by saying it would “offer meaningful contributions” to prevent further gun massacres.

The reality is that as this world increasing falls away from and/or rebels against God and His Way, evil and the fruit of it will continue to increase resulting in an increasing need for the righteous to make an even firmer and more decisive stand against it.

Putting armed guards in schools (hey, they are already all over the place thanks to 9/11 and the patriot act anyway) will have an added benefit of, among other things, reminding kids that freedom should never be taken for granted and that, although there is evil ever ready to do evil, there is also good prepared to do what is right and uphold what should be upheld.

Anyhoo, if the freedom hating totalitarian minded luciferic left / democrats wanna have the general population even further enslaved (which it is plain that they do and always will) then now is a time when they might be able to manage to gain some more territory for their unholy cause.

A quick and dirtier-than-usual-way of capitalising on the recent tragedy could simply be to arrange for their current POTUS to publicly receive a bullet or two to his brain and set it up so it looks like a republican voting NRA member dunnit.

The resulting riots, etc, etc, would not only provide suitable reason to trample constitutional rights even further into the dust but might also provide reason to declare martial law ... and all that implies.

OTOH, prolly NOT a good idea for the luciferic left to go down that path after all coz, thanks to the wisdom of the founding fathers and all that, plenty of the general population are armed enough to make it not worthwhile risking another civil war.

Besides, is the Obamanation government really all that confident that the majority of those serving in the USofA armed forces would obey if ordered into action against USofA citizens on USofA soil, especially if it was in relation to The Constitution ?

With the way the world has become and how it has been long prophesised to become not only am I "absolutely fine" with it but also reckon firearm safety including hands-on familiarity and use should be a mandatory class for certain ages and up.

Just like learning to safely use a band-saw in woodwork or an oxy-acetylene torch/set in metal work or kitchen knives in cooking classes.

I reckon today's kids should think it normal for an adult to have a firearm holstered in full view on their hip just like yesterday's kids thought it normal for somebody to have a sword in their belt or a bow and quiver full of arrows on their back.

I reckon none of us should be comfortable with the idea of a disarmed general population and The State (especially a freedom hating luciferic left totalitarian minded one that has lost sight of its duties, responsibilities and who it is supposed to be serving) having the most / greatest control over firearms.

I reckon that, just like kids and men from hundreds of years ago were required to partake in daily archery practice and weapons training, today's youth should be similarly and responsibly disciplined.

I reckon that for too long and to disasterous ends the luciferic left been permitted to infiltrate the education system. For too long have they been permitted to "teach" kids "what to think" instead of "how to think", along with encouraging them to call evil good and good evil and to defend and integrate with The State despite it largely being opposed to what God's Own Word says is good and the right way.

I reckon the fruit of such infiltration has brought about the need, now more than ever, for the everyday citizen to not only ensure that when the time comes they can properly do their bit to defend against an antichrist tryannical government but also to be prepared this day to make a stand and say "this far and no further" or "you shall not pass" to that which has spawned from the evil the luciferic left have sown.

Armed guards in schools (just like already on planes, in malls, at airports and trainstations, foyers of public buildings, on campuses, etc, etc, etc) could be deemed part of making that stand ... depending on the kind of "education" the kids are getting mind you.

Anyhoo, there will always be handwringing over some sort of weapon. Given time it won't be over explosive powered bullets but instead over gas propelled darts of ice or sonic ampliers that rupture internal organs from 20 metres or personal plasma blades that can lop off somebody's arm and cauterize the grievous wound in the same strike.

Then the handwringers will be grumbling about the presence of Justified Education Defense Initiates at all the schools ...

Whatever.

A MAN fatally shot a woman decorating for a children's Christmas party at a tiny church hall and killed two men elsewhere in a rural Pennsylvania township before he was fatally shot in a gunfight with state troopers.

The shootings began in Frankstown Township at about 9am local time and investigators were processing five crime scenes within about a 2.4km radius. Three state troopers were injured while tracking the suspect Jeff Michaels in a pick-up truck, but they have all been treated and released from a hospital, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported.The gunman also shot a man at a home and another man who may have been involved in a separate crash with him, police said.

Police confiscated several weapons and were working to determine how they were obtained and who owns them.The troopers were responding to an emergency call of a shooting in the township when they heard calls reporting at least one other shooting elsewhere, state police spokeswoman Maria Finn said.

Two troopers driving to the scene of one shooting were fired upon by the driver of a pickup truck headed in the other direction, and the truck smashed head-on into a cruiser driven by a third trooper.

The truck driver left the truck and immediately fired at the troopers, who returned fire and killed him, Finn said. One trooper was hit by two bullets, one that hit the body armor on his chest and the other which wounded the trooper's wrist, Finn said. A second trooper was hit by shattered glass and shrapnel. The third trooper was being evaluated for injuries he suffered from the head-on crash with the gunman's truck.

McCaulley, who is the pastor of another church about 80km away from the site of the carnage, said his older brother began leading the Frankstown church in 1954.

..you cant just outright ban guns in USA it would probably cause a civil war.
besides all that there will always be a blackmarket, crazy people if theyre going to kill will find someway to do it.
more support in the mental health sector wouldnt go astray.
