Well seeing as you ask... who has tips for insomnia from involuntary muscle contraction/tension. NOTHING WORKS. I think I am going to have to try and find a specialist. Does anyone here take GABA supplements? How long does it take for them to work?Hello @Mooseface. Have not been on at the same time as you lately. How's things?
How are you???!!!

Well, I had decided long before that, that I didn't want to be a parent and others do, so I felt that it was one thing I could do as part of my contribution to life. That's amazing!! Such a wonderful and selfless thing that you did.

Sorry, that's made it very unemotional but says it in a nutshell.Jessy's egg, donor sperm, Jessy's partner gestating the embryo.
What a beautiful and selfless thing to do, particularly given the fact you made that sacrifice for strangers.I answered an ad in the paper from an anonymous couple. I was 36 the first time and six months later when I was 37 did it for them again. I was too old to do more as I am at least five years older than the mother. The father is the father, genetically. Their son will now be 16.
Do you think of the children often? And given that you have not raised children of your own, did you feel a sense of loss or did you feel empowered knowing you gave a husband and wife a family of their own?
It must have been the ultimate journey of emotion.

The first time was emotionally and mentally draining as it was all unknown and a bit scary. The second time was more physically draining. Twenty egg follicles each time got a tad uncomfortable and I think the size of each was around the 2cm mark. What a beautiful and selfless thing to do, particularly given the fact you made that sacrifice for strangers.

I was given a photo of their son which I have in a frame, so I see his little newborn face all the time. Dad says he looks like me at the same age. I have no idea as to his name but I do know his DOB. I am also more than happy to do so if he ever wants to meet me.
I don't feel any sense of loss from this as I was instrumental in giving them joy and happiness, which is one of the satisfying things you can do for someone.

Really so amazing - I imagine not many women would take that same path, yet the way you have described your decision makes so much sense - it is such an incredible thing to do, interesting to hear that side of things

No not at all - you managed to make it far more succinct than I could.
The selflessness of what you went through really is heartwarming, Fiona. The first time was emotionally and mentally draining as it was all unknown and a bit scary. I am a huge fan of rewarding self. On his next birthday you should buy yourself something precious as a reminder of how precious you are.

My niece Pali calls me Khun Khun. Mum is Khun Yai and Dad is Khun Ta, all Thai names. Pali is Thai, she's adopted, she officially became my niece the day before her first birthday, so she's been ours by law nine years ago on November 28th.Now I'm intrigued because I (think I) remember you saying your username Khun Khun was what your... Is amyone getting a lot of ads at the top of the home page that I am sure weren't there a few days ago? Sorry, once you go into a thread, it's just under the thread title. I can get rid of each one as I see them but it's like getting porn on your work screen, they keep appearing no matter how fast or hard you try to get rid of them.
