Far Out! What a day I have had!
My Neighbours (who is my boss) dogs escaped and went on a 'little' adventure. 2 Blue Heelers!
Living in the country where there is a LOT of Livestock around, local farmers do not take to kindly to roaming Dogs!
Anyway, we were alerted early afternoon and we walked and drove around town for hours. No sign
So I ended up posting a message on the local community FB page, as a last ditch effort, thinking that there would be no response - but someone posted 1 hr later, that saw someone trying to get a dog out of a paddock, about 3klms down the Highway. So I got kicked into doogie save survivor mode, grabbed my Boss (like you do) and made him drive to the last know sighting.
The Ranger was there, (who I called earlier) the original Sighter (a lovely animal loving woman) and the property owner - I got out of the car and ran to the fence and yelled "MAX" and he came running to me like a fat 12 year old heeler would do (took a while, but he was coming to me!) They had been trying to catch and coax him for like, 1.5 hrs! He was by himself. His younger mate was not to be seen, nor responded to calls, by myself or the owner (bossman). I must add here, my bossman, does not speak English very well.
Max was so disorientated and was lying in an irrigation channel, when he was first sighted ....... I am so glad for that lovely lady cared enough to pull over and try and rescue Max and also the beauty of Social Media, even though my post was a last ditch effort, so to speak.
Still missing one puppy - he is really a naughty pup - he lead his mate on an adventure that could have been fatal for both, but at least we found Old Max .... I am praying young Mil is found very soon, 'cause there are some really cruel people out there that can find a dog and use it for fighting etc
Please Pray for Mil to be found safe and well and ready to have the wrath of Deb upon him, when he returns safely xxx
