I have tried yoga, but it's not for me I don't think. My mum and sis love it though. I didn't mind bikram yoga when I tried that but it goes for 90 minutes... I don't think so. I actually quite like pilates though.

I heard about this thing called laughing yoga where you have to fake laugh throughout it, or real if you can manage it. Sorry if someone does this but that sounds totally nuts to me.

Yoga is the best! I'm not sporty, so in highschool I'd pick the easiest thing to do & more often then not it was Yoga. It's so good for clearing your mind, stretching & strengthening. Pity I've forgotten most of the moves ;( You are gunna love it :D
I did love it! It was difficult, but at the same time kind of easy because I was not out of breath at all...
I'm totally going back, there were some older ladies there doing much better than me, my goal is be as good as them or better.

I'm after a beginners yoga class too. I got a DVD but I doubt I'm doing it properly.

I'm going to a meditation workshop tomorrow hosted by a Buddhist monk! I'm ultra excited.
Wow, let me know how that goes, because the meditation part of yoga today was really relaxing. I'm very interested in reading about your experience.:)

:D Glad you enjoyed it! And @Cowie - I ditto Inigo - please do share :)

Meditation workshop was hilarious. The monk could do stand up comedy. It focused on attachment and the problems it causes. A lot of what my shrink told me last year. You can't base your own happiness on objects. Refrain from the delusions that objects are responsible for your happiness.

Would money count as an object?

That's pretty cool. I actually started doing a meditation workshop and I really liked it but I didn't follow through on it. Yours sounds awesome though.

Sounds great, cowie.
Years ago I got rid of a lot of stuff and junk in my house that I got sick of. ornaments, linen, clothes, jewellery, furniture and kitchen shit that I never use. It was so freeing. Plus it makes dusting so much easier lol. When I go shopping and I see something I think I want I say to myself, what do you want that for, is it going to make me happy, are you going to forget you own it after a month? and I walk on by. The best!

It's funny because my sister is a bit of a Buddhist hippy type but she really contradicts this by being pretty into possessions. She has done some meditation stuff (and she needs it!) but I guess they didn't emphasise that part to her.

I do love shoes tho. Its hard but what the hell :)

Haha yeah maybe some moderation is key here. Some nice possessions and them some spiritual enlightenment.

My sister did surprise us all as she had an elaborate engagement ring designed but ended up going with a very simple one with great sentiment.

It really is a gorgeous day. And I'm doing home duties- how depressing!

I will go for an afternoon walk though to get a bit of sun though. Lucky for me I'm tanned so hopefully I can build that summer glow over the next month.

Omg this weather is amazing, I've spent the afternoon by the pool. I should go get some work done but it's so beautiful and sunny.

It appears that is just in Melbourne that wintry weather will return by early tomorrow morning. Sydney on the other hand will have glorious sunny weather for the next few days.
