I had to laugh as it reminded of something a few years ago on Australia Day. Three of us were going to have a bbq but there was no gas in the cylinder, so we thought, so the bbq became the George Foreman grill in the kitchen. Hilarious.

One of my aforementioned indoor BBQs was on Australia Day. With the right company and food and amount of booze it's all good fun anyway as I'm sure you'll agree. Funny with the George Foreman though.

My two friends don't drink so I don't when I'm with them. Turns out there was gas in the cylinder. A good time was had by all regardless.

I'm pretty much a non-drinker these days, I mean I do drink but it literally becomes a long time between drinks for me. Definitely at the time of this indoor BBQ I was in no way classed as a non-drinker though.

My dad sometimes wheels out the George Foreman if there are not enough people for a BBQ. The rule seems to be, more than 2 people warrants a barbie, otherwise the chops & snags are foremanned.

Lol! Yeah well I have around 20 people coming, so the foreman is not a viable option. Perhaps charcoal chicken will be the fallback plan.

FML right now. So I have to spend the day with my girlfriend's grandmother and take her to some appointments, not the best day but not the worst, however she speaks no English and it's proving extremely difficult. We are just sitting in awkward silence right now after some hectic miming. Slowest day ever.

Try using a translate app? Google translate is pretty good :p

Oh no! Hopefully it's gotten better? Well I think it's lovely you did that for your gf.

Just think of all the 'good girlfriend' points you'll earn!

It did get slightly better, yes. Actually @bleachy_dude's tip was helpful not sure why I didn't think of that sooner. Thankfully the doctors we went to spoke Serbian so the important messages were conveyed to both. I'm happy to help, but yeah... tedious. At least I didn't get bogged down why awkward small talk I guess.

Look on the bright side, jessy, you'll be an expert at charades at the end of the day.

Hmm yes. Now there is a skill I hope I never have to use. I hate charades.

Haha yes, hopefully. As they say though, no good deed goes unpunished.

Do people still play party games? I only ask because I don't go to parties.

Well there was talk on here recently about Cards Against Humanity, that's a party game that's popular. More dinner party I guess, but that's the only party I can handle these days.

I have heard of cards against humanity on reddit. But i never played it.

As for dinner party that seems mighty proper with all the fancy clothes, good food and people pronouncing stuff all proper like.

Yeah I've never played it either. It seems alright though?

Dinner parties in reality are just your friends all mutually becoming too old and lazy to go to some hectic club so just socialise in your home instead where no one judges you for sitting down or dressing like a hobo or stuffing your face. Well that's just my dinner parties, maybe none of my friends are posh enough.
