Lindsay Lohan's second album "A Little More Personal" was pretty good I reckon. There were some great tracks on it like "confessions of a broken heart", "a beautiful life" and "my innocence". Starts singing: Daughter to father. Daughter to father. :singing::singing:

Yes I liked that song. I am a a sucker for most daddy dajghter things to a slightly strained relationship with one of my dads, so that song hit me in the feels. The video was a cry for help and no one listened to poor Lindsay!!

Am I allowed to mention the guilty pleasure of Bec Cartwright's "All Seats Taken"? She's all over the mags these days because of Lleyton, most people forget she was almost a decent popstar.

There is something about short-lived music careers that is fascinating. Do these people keep at it or just resume normal jobs I wonder.

Lol Girl Thing, I thought they sounded familiar but that song rang no bells, finally I realised it is the name of this lesbian night I used to go to in my youth. But yep definitely lolz in that video.

Yeah it is fascinating. I actually think a lot of them do have to go back to regular normal jobs. It would be pretty depressing I think to go back like that after experiencing the lifestyle before.

Haha at the Girl Thing lesbian night. I did come across lesbian events like that when I was researching about Girl Thing.

Yeah I have a strained relationship with my dad too and it was probably at the most intense when "Confessions of a broken heart" was released. The song really comforted me. That and the "My Innocence" song.

'Cause all I want is what you got, all seats taken. And all I don't is what you're not, no mistaking. :singing::singing:

Hahaha. Oh my. That song is in my head now.

I think my favourite Bec song was "A matter of time". It was a nice sweet little song. :)

Yeah, I remember the song came out similar time to "Because of You" by Kelly Clarkson. Or maybe I just played them together a lot, but either way, it was at the time my relationship him was as its worst.

Yes that was probably Bec's song. Slightly more melodic or acoustic I'd say, although they are probably the wrong words because I am not musically savvy at all.

Omg I loved 'These Days'!!!
Gosh you guys make me feel bad, me and my dad are perfect....mum however...(who I love) but mum is...difficult lol.

I have a fantastic mum who more than makes up for it if that is any consolation to make you feel better! ;)

Sometimes families can just be drama but in this world nothing is perfect. I think we live and we learn from these things. It makes us who we are.

I suppose I used to be a fan of Sophie but yeah my interest faded when she stopped music.

To be honest I didn't really follow any of the other Popstars. Bardot were the only ones that appealed to me. "I Need Somebody" is still such a great tune.

Oh so did you meet Tiffani then? That is pretty cool :). Yeah I think it was Lindsay Lohan who released "What R U Waiting 4" for a soundtrack or something.

I remember Tammin's short lived music career. I think the singles were Pointless Relationship and Whatever will be. Don't ask me how they go though because I forgot.

Bec Cartwright also had a short lived music career too if you remember. The singles were: All Seats Taken, On the borderline and A matter of time. Then she married Leyton Hewitt and didn't continue music. She makes me think she is Australia's version of Victoria Beckham. How they both married sport stars and their music careers were short.

I just love talking about short lived or failed music careers. I always seem to like the music even though most people would say it is trashy. My favourite story of a failed group is Girl Thing which was put together by Simon Cowell. He pushed them to be the next Spice Girls and they failed miserably. Their first single's video clip "last one standing" is very similar to the Spice Girls "wannabe" video. Many laugh out louds on that one. You should also hear what happened behind the scenes of the group. There were squabbles and even violence (oh my god ). This was all revealed in a special on UK TV called The Big Reunion where past music acts reunite and do a concert.

Here is last one standing:

Hmm I hope this is interesting to you. Haha. :p
Oh I loved Girl Thing, what was their other hit?

Girls on Top was their other single.
It sounds really familiar to the Spice Girls hit "Who do you think you are" and Geri's (Ginger Spice) "Bag it up". But the three songs are all produced by the Absolute team so it's no wonder they sound similar. ;)
Girl Thing also released a single exclusively in Australia called "Young, Free & Happy" I can't find the video clip for it but the audio is on YouTube. Girl Thing actually were somewhat popular here in Aus.

That's it! I loved them.
I loved so many girl groups, one group, you can hardly find their tracks anywhere but their harmony was amazing and they were really talented.
Honeyz I think they were called.

The controversy with this Girls Aloud song is that it sounds similar to Oasis famous "wonderwall"!!

Also a track on their debut album "All I Need (All I Don't)" has the same exact music on a track "Everything I Hate" on Holly Valance's second album. Again made by the same producer though. Interesting. It's worth a comparison. I love stuff like this. Haha.
