Estelle appreacian thread (i can't spell)

Oooooo Stella and Michael are hanging out at Dreamworld together? :D Cute!!! Is she staying with him? Lol I'm pro Estelle + Michael!
 
lol, I doubt there's anything more than friendship.

Anyway it's true that it's hard to judge Ryan's intelligence based on the little we saw. I didn't find him as interesting as say Estelle or Angie as a HM but he certainly seemed nice enough. Generally I do like HMs who are not part of the 'cool'/'popular' group in the house, whether in the Australian or British version. Maybe in the 7th series I was drawn a bit more to the non-outsiders than usual. In the latest series though I was definitely liking the more socially awkward group and Estelle was the only one to represent them right to the end.

Zoe is there too. She met up with Estelle earlier. The there was a group sesh with a bunch of the hm's, but it looks like Stella and Michael went their own way for a while. Just judging from various tweets and photos on instagram.
 
A couple of the housemates r at dreamworld!!! I def dont want to see estelle and Michael together she deserves better than him

Yeah Layla, Ben and Zoe are there as well but I havent seen many photos of them. It would not surprise me if they were bitching about Estelle and Michael the whole time and thats the reason they hung out separately:D. Im completely on the Mistelle bandwagon. I hope they hook up. They just seem very natural together

My bad. I'm sure Zoe is doing everything in her power to stop Michael from sneaking into Stella's hotel room. I hope he does though.

Yes it is. It requires commitment, determination and intelligence. I know a lot of people who have tried and failed. That is why employees like to see you have a degree, because it shows you have put in the effort required to stick out the 3 or more years of study.
 
Not all uni undergrad courses are created equal. Rubbish worthless bludger pothead courses like art are not in the same level of difficulty as proper professional worth the paper they're written on degrees as engineering/science degrees are.

So in that sense yes most people can complete crappy uni degrees.

AFAIK, Ryan just did Commerce at Swinburne. You only need an ATAR of 65 to get into that particular course - which is incredibly average. Had he attained a higher ATAR, no doubt he'd have been at Melbourne, Monash or even Deakin instead. Clearly he scored somewhere in between the 65-70 range for year 12, which, again, is not flash.

He also finished it up mid year, which suggests he failed a couple of units along the way, considering it's a 3 year degree.

You can tell from the way he articulated himself throughout the show, and with some of his comments (Hitler being on the 1958 Time Mag cover; Indians being the primary country weightlifters are from etc etc) that he is not the sharpest tool in the shed.

Not saying it's a bad thing, it's not something I fault him for. Just pointing out the facts. He's not bright.

Different areas of study require different types of intelligence, and trying to claim that a humanities course is easier than an equivalent science course is completely pointless ... and quite bizarre as well. Half of the science and engineering students I know can barely even string a sentence together.

Many non-arts students (particularly business students, in my experience) like to laugh at arts students because as for them, university is nothing more than a stepping stone to a career. I laugh right back precisely for the same reason.

Maybe they lash out because they're jealous of people who get to study something that is truly thought provoking. :confused:

Well... I scored an enter of over 90 but chose to study in a course that only required a score in the 70's, but what you're saying is probably correct when applied to Ryan. He seems like the kind of guy who would go for the highest placement available.
 
What a pain I found her to be and if u take notce of the other housemates U will find they found her the least appealing......She is not a team player, she is reasonably well off, I reckon she can't ride a skate board properly......and she isn't even good looking........so there get that into and finally I am so so so happy she dint win............Yeah baby get that into u Estelle lovers har har har she finished 3rd.....and if Channel 9 was honest with the fottage she would have been 2nd to leave the house...........so put that in your pipes and smoke it..................

Norris's win has divided television fans. Not because of his proposal but because he was seen as a housemate who repeatedly picked on fellow finalist Estelle Landy.

He even made nasty remarks about her in the grand finale episode, just before winning the $250,000 prize.

''Estelle was without doubt one of the most annoying people I've ever met,'' Norris says, when asked about his behaviour towards her on the program.

But he refutes claims he bullied Landy. ''If people think that's bullying and are labelling it bullying, it's incorrect; it dilutes the real issue. All I did was call a spade a spade,'' the Melbourne accounts manager says.
